I don't hate smogon, smogon is awesome, I use their stratagey dex as a base platform to create new and more creative sets. Its an accurate dex and is really helpful to me, I respect their decision, even if it is arguable.
 
I really dont like them at all,not for making chomp uber but other reasons i wont go into.

The only thing I hate about smogon is their forums. The forums have to be the most hateful, unwelcoming, stuck-up, forums on the internet.

Well, for the most part, PC has been awesome to me, you can't go anywhere in life without bumping into a few jerks here and there, its impossible. But yea, smogon is useful when you need some basic stratagey info.
 
There forums are a mess, there's no control there, just a bunch of jerky team raters that go about flaming everyone. lol.
 
I like Smogon's Pokedex It has loads of information and it helps me a lot with my Pokemon needs. I've never been on their forum so I can't really comment.
 
Let's keep the bashing of other sites & their communities to zero, 'kay? What does it say about our community with us insulting others? Very low, I might add. It's best to either take it to PM or just let it go.

Anyway, to be honest, I never frankly fit in there. And I respect their ability to maintain the competitive battling aspect of Pocket Monsters.

Garchomp was a touchy issue for many people, but sometimes I just don't think some people understand all the angles of it. It was debated for practically seven months, no way was it a "OMG NO, BAN BAN BAN" decision. The information they provide (and their tutoring system) is why I'm a competitive battler today.
 
By the way just a query on competitive battling, how do all of you memorise perfect movsets for Pokemon? It seems really hard doing it from my point of view.

Basically one of the first steps towards becoming an effective and good player is to A) study, watch games and learn the moves people tend to use B) get your feet wet and learn from the losses. And standard sets tend to stick out like a sore thumb once you get the hang of it. It takes time, I'd say.
 
Who said I was bashing smogon? I use their stratagey dex daily. Their forums aren't the best, imo. This is a forum, its pretty stupid if people can't speak out their opinions, thats what a forum is for. This is the second time something like this has happened. I've gotten a 3 point infraction for speaking out against same sex marriage and now I'm being told not to "bash" other sites, when I'm just commenting on their forums? Forums are communities, not prisons in which you are told what to say, but so far, that's what its coming down to. Sad, really.
 
Today I saw a 10 - 13 year old girl in Walmart who adored my sister's Pikachu bag.

:D I wanted to steal her and nurture the fandom within her. Who else gets slightly exited when you see a younger person than you interested in something that's not "uber popular"?
 
awww how cute, my little sister whose in grade 3 met a girl at her school who also loves pokemon as much as she does and they both have the same little pikachu lunchbox except my little sister covered hers with other stickers.

Lol, my littlest brother's friend loves it, every time he comes over he comes up to me and hes always like, hey what've caught lately? He's gonna be an awesome pokéfan lol, think hes getting a ds soon, he asked if I knew how to make him a baby cyndaquil xD

That's not "commenting" that's just being disrespectful. I go by the good ol' saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all." Nor should your opinion of their forums deal with Pocket Monster Chit-Chat. Just keep it to yourself, it's not that hard. I wasn't involved with your other offense, but we're not a community that degrades other forums and their community, no matter what you think of them. The proper term is called RESPECT. We allow you to speak & comment, but when you're doing it in a way that's in disrespectful manner, we don't tolerate it. Just chill out, come on UberChomp, we don't need to go there. 'kay? We're drifting more off-topic as it is.

It's interesting to see kid's eyes light up at the sight of your own fandoms. I've seen kids in the trading card sections that looked like it was candy. XD; Makes you realize Pocket Monsters affects a lot of people and it's not going anywhere. Unfortunately my sister doesn't like Pocket Monsters, so I can't really enjoy it with anyone.

I remember when I was shopping for clothes, I saw two children (I assumed they were siblings) "battling" each other. The girl had said, "Celebi, I choose you!" but that's all I remember. XD
 
awww, my little sister LOVES new born starters and because I'm waiting for my lil sister to invite her friend over so I can give her the piplup she wants, they also love pokemon for the same reason, the cute pokemon.
