Oh dear, the B/R/Y graphics hurt my eyes.
I wouldn't play them if my life depended on it..
Have you noticed how the designs of some of the pokemon changed?
 
HEY! I happen to enjoy the feeling of the Gameboy games.... they're.... cute. Un-smooth... in a good way.

DC, jump into the CTI thread! And the ^ thread! Come on and steal the 17000 from raichuchika and itman1234 XD

RBY were good for their time, now I feel like watching an old 70s movie when playing them :D
 
haha, you may be right.... But still, I'm forever in love with the simplicity of Yellow. Everything was so easy back then.... though, it still is, for you and me, DC. Since we don't care about IV's and über-clever-using of items and competitive battling ;P

CTI or TCTI = The Count To Infinity thread. Ok? We just made 17000 :D hahaah infinity's not far....
 
Actually, I play the games without caring about EVs and IVs, but I'm a big fan of graphics. In fact, unlike most people, I prefer graphics more than gameplay.. It's in my blood :P
 
The coolest part of Yellow was talking with Pikachu and getting all the starters :)
I think that's the game I hold closest to my heart.. I dunno why (but I still won't play it again.. ever)
 
Yeah, I remember playing Yellow with a Pikachu called Thunderkid... a Venusaur called Jungledoom, a Blastoise called Shellshock and a Charizard called... called... gosh this is embarrassing... called Firedragon.
Always accompanied by a Kadabra/Hypno and a Machoke/Primeape. Every time I played it over again.

This time, I went with Poliwrath and Victreebel and Hitmonlee instead.... but Hypno and Pikachu is there. He's not named Thunderkid though. No.

I remember having my Gold team like this:
Ho-Oh, Typhlosion and the rest I don't remember. XD There levels were quite low, though, but I beat the PKMN league in one time. xD
 
Ah, that's only because I played the game over and over again with the same teams.....

Hm. Though, I remember one of my Ruby teams as well... almost. It featured a Volbeat. How the smeg did I get the idea of facing Elite 4 with a Volbeat?? It was horrible.... He knew one single good move (I'd probably raised it badly :P) and had too much Atk power while that one good move was a Sp.Atk....... or something like that. ^^;

ED: Oh, now I've just GOT to....
My Gold team was perfect.... not. But it had strengths towards any enemy: Magmar/Typhlosion, Jynx, Magneton, Primeape, Parasect and Quagsire.
 
Bug and grass are the worst types to take to the pokemon league (in my noobish opinion)

I'm in the D/P League getting ready to battle Cynthia. I'm training my Mew in the Pokemon League. It's getting much stronger! =O
 
Grass is a good type when it has effective moves. If your strategy is to spore a lot of status effects on the enemy, grass pokemon are awesome. They have quite high defense and reasonable attack. But they rely mainly on their special attack.
 
lol I should really start following some battling strategies... I rely on offesinve moves and never do I care about defensive ones.. it's time for change :D

Grass have too many weaknesses. Mm.

DC, of course I enjoy torturing* you, it's what drives me to visit PC this often ^^ I'm your evil twin now, remember?

Oh, yea, they are the only super-effective thing against Swampert ;)
