The people who made them were probably to lazy to do all of the hair. XD
 
I haven't played Diamond yet, so this question is sorta bad, but..
Does the player have a dad in this game, or he doesn't exist like most of the other games.
 
Erm I don't think his dad is around at all in this one.

Nintendo really do promote a full family unit don't they?
 
I think the only reason they gave you a dad in R/S/E is because they wanted a good filler story for a Gym Leader.

And what kind of mum lets her kid travel a whole region alone?
They should really make it so the player runs away from home XD
 
Yeah, R/S/E was the only game where the main protagonist where there were two parents? Where the hell is the dad in all the other games? o_O

Yeah XD Maybe the dad's are off having adventures of their own or something :x It doesn't seem like there is any need for money to buy actual needs, such as food and stuff in the Pokemon world, so they wouldn't need jobs... DX

Or for that matter, where's the dad in the anime too? >:

I dunno where the dad is in the anime... it's weird :/

Yeah, no one seems to have any money, and the only stores in the world sell stuff for Pokemon (potions, antidotes, etc.), so where are all the people stores? :O
 
Maybe the guy behind the storylines has an issue with his dad :P
(let's say he was on vacation when the storyline for R/S/E was done XD)
 
Then everyone in every gen will have issues with thier dads xDDD What a coinky-dink. ^^

Yeah. I mean, Team Rocket is always complaining about being broke and all, but if you think about it how would a group of traveling kids/teens have more money than adults; unless they actually get money for winning battles like in the games :x

No, remember, food and beds and all are free in the anime, that's how they get along so easily.
 
I just remembered that in the anime, Ash isn't the only one with a "lost" father... Dawn's father is nowhere to be seen, if he existed, you'd think she would mention him when she's speaking with her mum. Thoughts?

About the money, have we ever seen them use money!?!??!
In movie 10, Dawn is "buying" something but she just takes the item and leaves. SHE DOESN'T PAY! And you could see that the salesman is happy for some reason.. (WTF?)

They're lucky that they're all free, or they'd be sleeping in forests every day. Or on the streets. I dunno. :/

No. It was so they could use that as a speculation point, on whether or not Ash is Giovanni's father ect.

For the record, the antagonist from Silver and Gold (the red haired kid) is Giovanni's son. But then who's the mother?

Not fair! There are so many trainers out there, wouldn't they just lose business?
 
No. They obviously get some brilliant pension when they're older.

I never heard of that before.

Aren't Jessie and James trainers too? How can they be broke?
