Yay! I can log in again! I have no Idea what was wrong with the forum, but it's all good now! (and I hope it stays that way.)

And Togepi, he evolves with friendship.

Evolving Pokemon through friendship is easy.

I think you're just jealous that you don't have a Pokemon like Blissey.
 
Actually I think it's really cool to raise your pokemon with friendship.
When it's time for evolution, you don't really except it which is cool :)
 
How DO you evolve with friendship? I have always tried to get an Umbreon and it never worked...


It took my Togepi to be level 38 to evolve into a Togetic.
 
Depends on the game.. Grooming you pokemon helps.
Also, I believe giving it stuff like Protein, Carbos... helps

I thought I heard somewhere that it was either amount of steps or amount of time in party, but idk.
 
I'm aware of those people, but I also know there is a way to calculate exactly how long it's gonna take a pokemon to evolve with happiness.

But you'll waste your time calculating stuffs like that if you do calculate it exactly instead. Relying on the persons Sweet Dawn enumerated is much wiser, especially if you are not a math psycho or your calculator's broken or you don't want to see numbers because it reminds you about the horror of math, etc....

P.S.: It's recommended to ask the ladies instead....
 
I don't even care about that, but someone mentioned that the number of steps affects the happiness, I told them that I dunno how it affects the happiness because it has something to do with calculation...

Anyway if you read the previous posts, you'll see how it led to that statement.
lol I don't even have time for EVs and IVs... imagine me calculating happiness :P
 
I always did want to know when my Eevee was going to evolve for me, I always wanted an Espeon, but never got one, because I didn't know how to give it happiness.

I kept on killing it. XD
 
To get an increase in happiness you must do this:
-Keep the Pokemon in your party
-Give it Proteins and other Stat-boosting items (the expensive way)
-Level it up
-Quickly heal it's status problems and quickly heal it when it faints

Then, it's Happiness will go up

But if they only evolve through happiness without training, then I guess that's a bad idea too. Especially since Pokemon really evolve when they gained enough experience in battling which is ALMOST if not totally different from gaining happiness...

Anyways, it really needs a lot of methods to increase the happiness of Pokemons. I heard Soothe Bell can do the trick too, but I'm not sure exactly.

mm good point... how about if a pokemon isn't happy with you, it will refuse to evolve? That's sound good right? It's it's content, it will evolve normally.

That would take forever though, and like I said, I kept on killing my pokemon, I healed them though, they still didn't evolve for me though.
