You have chosen Charmander!
You pick the fire type Pokemon, Charmander. " A good choice," Oak says, "This Pokemon will require alot of paitence." You're happy that you have a Pokemon now, but you can't help but worry for the girl you foolishly let get away. Oak senses this.

"Don't beat yourself up over that girl, kid. She'll be fine." This somewhat makes you feel better. Then, suddenly, a brash kid with spikey light brown hair busts into the lab.

"Yo, gramps! I'm here for my Pokemon!" The kid exclaimed. He sported a purple long sleeved shirt with a medallion necklace, black pants, and strapped boots.

"Gary, you're early." Oak says.

"Apparently not early enough! This butthead better not have taken MY Pokemon!" Gary exclaimed. He walked over and inspected the other remaining balls. "Good." He said, picking up the ball containing Squirtle. "You lucked out, loser!"

*Sigh* Crying it is. Haha.
Eventually, Gary's harsh words get to you. A single tear strolls down the side of your cheek, and you bite your lip.

"Aww, man, you're CRYING?! Haha! What're you, two or something?!" Gary said as he began chuckling at your misery.

"Gary!" Oak barked at his grandson. Gary jumped a little, but quickly diverted his attention else where.

"Whatever. I'm outta here! Smell you guys later!" Gary said snickering as he waltzed out with his Pokémon.

"Don't let Gary get to you, son. You'll have to become stronger if you want to become a Pokémon Master!! Here. This is a Pokedex. It has data on every Pokémon in this region, and can also give you information on things you need to be, er, informed about! Haha! Gary left so quickly, I didn't get a chance to give him his. Here, give it to him next time you see him." You nod. "You should be on your way, now! You might want to check out the sites around Pallet Town before you depart first. Arceus knows when you'll be back."

Will you take Oak's advice and walk around some? What will you do?

Back home, one last thing.
You decide to head home to say goodbye to Mother. There are tears, hugging, kissing, and more tears, but eventually, she lets you go. But before doing so, she gives you a backpack with five potions, a Paralyze Heal, an Awakening, a Antidote, and five Pokeballs. She also gives you some extra stuff, like a first-aid kit, some escape rope, you know, the works!

You've obtained:

1x Paralyze Heals
1x Awakening
1x Antidote

You can make one more stop before you leave town. Pick wisely!
