Thank you! I found myself feeling really bad for the pirate and snorlax so I really wanted to help them, but apparently my head is just a hat rack, because I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to do it xD
Wwas the workaround I'm struggling with this. Teach a Pokémon explosion I presume??

Hi, i just finished chapter one and am thoroughly enjoying your hack. It's surprisingly fun and casual, while having a gripping story.

I was told that to join the cult, I need to find a man in the underground city and tell him a pass phrase. I have been roaming the underground city for half an hour. Where is this dude?

Also, could you please make a guide for side quests as well? They have really subtle hints, but I'd like to atleast not get totally lost like this.

Hello! Thanks for playing!

The Cultists have a room in a subsection of the first level of the Underground City. After entering the city, go ahead and take the first ladder you see to the left. It's the second room, right after the guy who buys star pieces.

It seems I'll probably end up making that guide.

Does anybody have a list of which route routes have what pokemon? I saw the list of pokemon available, but it didn't show where to catch them. I was planning on doing a run with a pre-planned team, but can't do that if I don't know where to get them.

In pirate arena, it is clearly mentioned that I do not need the HMs to progress. Yet after checkpoint one, there's a big waterfall blocking the way. Do I need that HM? If so, there should be some warning at the beginning!

Hello. Neither Waterfall nor Surf or any other HMs are required to complete the challenge. There is a clear route that leads to the end of the cave. The arena's layout is not that complicated. Let me know if you continue to have trouble figuring it out.

Hey, sorry I am a dum dum and clearly missed the bridge going forward. Thanks for the help. One oversight regarding the pirate arena I have found, that you allow berries. And we have an NPC that sells sitrus berries in part A. i could use them to heal everyone. I decided that this is an exploit and to not use this, but just know this is possible.

Really liking this hack. Would there be any issue with keeping a normal save too though? Just as a backup I guess since relying solely on save states makes me kinda nervous. Just not sure what would happen when the state is loaded in Part B and it thinks there is a normal save there.

No, I don't see any issue with that. To be honest, I've never had a problem using save states. It's convenient and I like that I can save in different slots.

Just want to say that I FINALLY finished this game last night and wow! Amazing work here, I can definitely tell this was made for friends, it just oozes that signature feel in the character interactions and their development. Made an account on here literally just to comment that. Would love to see more work like this.

Note: Spoilers for before the first gym in the game

I love that art

New version 2.2.0 is out. Changes:

  • The ending has been slightly enhanced, introducing a new unique battle section and altering the story resolutions for certain characters. Nothing very major but this new scene is based on a piece of lore that I always wanted to make more prominent in the game's story.
  • The EXP. Share has been tweaked. Now the Pokémon holding it will gain full EXP even if it doesn't participate in battle.
  • A new feature has been added allowing repeatable trainer battles on specific routes by trading Heart Scales in the PokeCenter
  • The game's balance has been adjusted, particularly to reduce the level gap after the 6th badge. Grinding should now be minimal or entirely optional with this update.
  • Overworld sprites have been improved to make the game feel more unique, and some characters now have completely new sprites (like the 7th Gym Leader or the Pirate Arena Champion).
  • Several minor bugs -mostly graphical- have been fixed (like one graphic one in several optional caves in Elysium island).
  • Minor dialogue changes. (i.e Made the 3rd puzzle on Eerie's dark tower making more sense, etc)
  • A guide for the game's major side quests has been added.

I've implemented a toggleable Exp. All item but with it on it completely throws off the game's balance which is already tuned for casual players so I decided to not make it available. EXP. Share with full exp. points works very well to have newly captured Pokemon catch up quickly. Also the grinding for this game is now completely minimal.

This will likely be the last major update, aside from bug fixes ofc. I wish I could add battle backgrounds (not enough backgrounds are available for a game with so many different locations) and new music which I have zero knowledge how to implement but the game can live without them. For a game I never intended to release the feedback from players made me to polish it to the point where it feels like a whole new game compared to the first version I released one year ago. Truly glad for that! Lastly added a short questionnaire here for anyone who's interested in giving some feedback.

Hey, I was about to write about the level gap after 6th badge. The leader was level 80+ with me being level 70. Will the save be backwards compatible, or should I keep playing on older version? Many thanks for taking all the suggestions from the community. You're amazing!
