I've noticed that in Pokémon Essentials a lot of the Pokémon data have not been updated (4th gen sprites look awful, evolutions and movesets not totally updated, etc.). I'm trying to fix up some of these things. I'm also working on changes like new stat totals and movesets (to balance out the game and give more uses to Pokémon that nobody uses). I have a bunch of stuff planned, and I've already begun to implement some of those things in my game, Pokémon Hall of Fame. Is anybody interested in the project, or helping out?

I'm planning on using resources from the Pokémon Essentials Diamond and Pearl Moves and Abilities Project.

Currently I'm working on a renumbering of the National Pokédex based on evolutionary families, seen here: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_Pokémon_by_evolution_family

I posted the Pokemon.txt file with the D/P moves and evolutions in the D/P Moves and Abilities project thread. Also, in my signature, there's a link to all the Platinum sprites in high quality.

Sounds good, but as for editing stat totals et cetera, it's probably better to leave it up to the discretion of the game developer. For the most part all Pokémon are fairly balanced in terms of what their stats should be (not talking about G/S/C, though, since that generation had the highest ratio of useless Pokémon).
