Yep, godmode9 can do it. See this thread for instructions. It's slow but it'll always give you a good ROM dump.

Ah, that's really helpful thanks! I'd like to edit EX directly since most of the encounters are fine. Does it have a different titleID from normal X? I just need to know where to extract the romfs from.

Edit: nvm! Was able to get it done successfully. Found places for them all including Burmy. Thanks again for your help! =]

Hello! I started playing this ROM hack, and I am enjoying it very much!
I have two questions:
1) Would you recommend using the Pokémon Amie and/or O-Powers for additional XP and stat bonuses? Or would that break the game?
2) How do I update to the latest version?

Hey!
1) I wouldn't recommend using Amie unless you're doing a nuzlocke; in that case the bonus exp from the first level of affection is useful but probably not game breaking. In a normal run it'll break the level curve!
2) Updating is the same process as installing - download the latest version and install it, it should overwrite the previous version.
 
I just caught Hoopa in the Lost Hotel, is there a way to get his prison bottle? He didn't have a held item

Delete the hack's files from your SD card or Citra's mods folder. If you're on 3DS the files are in luma\titles\0004000000055E00 or luma\titles\0004000000055D00 depending on version.

Unfortunately not, the prison bottle didn't exist in XY (it was added in ORAS) so it's unobtainable.
 
My Citra doesn't have the "open update data location" button. Is there anyway to do the same thing without that button cause when I right click Pokemon Y, that button does not appear at all. BTW, the poke ball shop in aquacorde town are still normal poke balls, so I think the rom is still not yet implemented.

If you haven't installed the title update for XY/don't have the update location then it's probably not installed and you don't need to worry about it. If the marts aren't selling the new items, double check that you've installed the mod correctly. Could be that the code.bin file wasn't copied to citra's mods folder.
 
Quick question. Is there a way to not have the halved exp? Is it the code.ips file or is it somewhere in the romfs folder. Just asking because I kinda don't like the feature. I like playing games with the exp share off so it's kinda hard to grind when you only get half the exp. I know you're supposed to play this hack with the exp share on, but I personally never liked using it. Thanks

It's part of the base stats file in the romfs folder, so you'll have to edit it with pk3DS to remove that change. Fair warning though, the level curve is designed around the exp share + halved exp and doesn't play well without them. Ideally grinding shouldn't be needed at all, but if you really want to do it anyway the restaurants in Lumiose are the way to go. They give out a lot more exp than anything else in the game due to the trainers mostly using Audino and Chansey/Blissey.

I apologize for the stupid question, but: Does the masuda method of shiny hunting work in these rom hacks? You said that you modified the eggs' hatch counter, so I'm curious if that affects things and makes it so the masuda method won't work.

The Masuda method is unchanged, all I did was reduce the egg cycle for every Pokemon to one so that eggs hatch quickly. It's just part of the base stats file so it definitely won't impact the chances of getting a shiny.

Yep it's been removed from everything except the gift Lucario IIRC. Congrats on the shiny Mewtwo!

Hey I know it's a bit late to replay to your question, but I just wanted to confirm that it does work. A while back I breed a shiny gastly. (I had the legal/online version installed)
 
Does anyone know where Venipede is? I checked the locations document but couldn't find an entry for Venipede or it's evolutionary brethren.
