I wanted to catch 'em all, but I didn't know how many there were. Google provided inconsistent results.
This post will list the maximum number of obtainable Pokémon in FireRed without P2P trading, special events, cheating or hacking.
The most calculated result I found was this Reddit post, however I had already calculated how many were obtainable in the Kanto region myself (and got them all), and I came up with a different number.
