Is it intended that every single area has at least 1 enemy that poison you if you don't outsped them?
So far, even in random grass battle, there is always one kind of pokemon that poison (poison moves also have exceptionally high chance to poison...)
Is this some kind of mechanic that slow down your progression by forcing you back to pokecenter or forcing you to use item?
Also, not sure if it is just me. My Lv40 Typhlosion vs Ecruteak Gym, landed a critical on a lv29+- enemy, it survived.
Is this some kind of mechanic that prevent overlevel pokemon from sweeping?
Make sure you're on 2.7.6 which is the latest version as of this post. Poison Powder is learned by a lot of grass types, which are usually amongst early game pokemon. As well as Poison Sting being learned by things like bugs and snakes, which again are usually early game encounters. Poison chance is usually 30%, while Poison Fang has 50% to badly poison. As for your overleveled Typhlosion (you must have grinded for hours to even reach 10 levels above Morty), it depends on your move and nature/ev/iv. If you hit something like Drifblim/Misdreavus, they have high HP/SpDef and will live a few things. Unless you used a physical attack, then almost everything he has will survive the crit because Typhlosion has low Atk. Just to let you know, your lv40 Typhlosion is on par with Gym 7. I suggest not grinding so much in the future for a more enjoyable experience
