True true but to me it wouldnt matter as i have no speakers. And i cant play anything on the old dino i have
 
I never used to have speakers up until recently so I decided to do some work making the loops repeat correctly etc.

It's all going well, after I have some music finished off, enough for the first demo, i'll finish up making the Pokémon stats system and begin working on the core battle system.

I have a question for everyone, which sprite do they prefer, my edited one on the left or the original on the right?

It's not been changed in anyway except the saturation of it. I personally prefer the less bright version.
 
less bright. sorry cant post much without a keyboard. mouse to weak for on screen kbrd
 
I'm going to do it to every sprite in the game.

Even trainer sprites etc, I think it gives a more realistic view, hopefully when I have some more work done on the battle system I can show you how good the front sprites are :D

The sprites are okay to me. Lighter or darker, it doesn't make that big of a difference to me.

I don't know much about coding, So I don't ask about it.
But Waudby, I get excited to read any updates about the game, whatever they may be, so If you posted about coding, then I can at least say that I would be interested in reading about it.

Yay! Music! Is it from other pokemon games, or is it original?
 
The music i'm currently editing is from Pokémon Platinum, however I am attempting to create some of my own, bearing in mind I'm not a music creator it depends on how well they come out as to whether they will be in the game.
 
Oooh, pretty sprites :D I wanna ask though, is that Turtwig Front Sprite only an edit of the actual sprite or did you make it? :o

Anywhoo~ I love the saturated feel, as someone else said, it falls nicely with Kyldove's tiles x3
 
I personally prefer the desaturated sprites, as it would go with the rest of the game.
Definitely use it, they look beautiful.

The sprite is the actual original sprite just with the saturation turned down, through the wonders of sphere :D

I'm glad people like the sprites better, I really like them as well. Hopefully I'll have some battle screens to show them off a bit more soon.
 
Yes, the saturated version looks better if you used Kyledove tileset. It's really match with Kyledove style. Good job!
 
A few days or weeks ago I believe someone asked about a region map?

Well, I'd like to present to you, the Everglade Region;

Anyway aha hoho hehe. It sure is a nice region. Now then where is it located? Cause to me it looks like its directly southeast of kanto with that landmass in the corner being kanto. Or is there some kinda sea above kanto here?
 
It is located southwest of the Alcan Region, which is what you can see in the top left hand side :P

The Alcan region is another little suprise that I am now throwing at you, not only will the game feature the Everglade Region, but it will also feature the Alcan Region as well.

As well as a whole new storyline when you arrive there ;)

Oh and the Alcan region is west of Johto :)
 
YAY! So then to be correct there is a sea above the continent of jhoto/kanto that includes everglade. But if its west of jhoto would it be northeast of alcan? No wait you got confused. Its northwest of jhoto. Unless you did us all a favor and have it a strange u shaped region which features cianwood as a tip on a larg landmass!
 
Woops typo :P

I meant southeast of Alcan and Alcan is west/southwest of johto kinda like:

Johto

Alcan
Everglade

So Everglade is like south-ish to Johto.

I may make some tie in Islands that lead to Johto eventually, but for now, two regions with a massive story line is quite enough for a first release :P

There will be download content remember, new places in the current regions as well as new items, and perhaps new regions :P
 
Aha. So im guessing that alcan is somehow directly east of hoenn or did you put hoenn somewhere else. Those islands include the mighty cianwood one right?
 
Well Alcan is between Hoenn and Johto, but not directly, it's slightly lower down then Hoenn but it's still between them, I'll possibly find links to tie in with Johto, and/or Hoenn.
 
Aha ok ok i get you slightly.
