Pokémon Ranger: Shadows Of Almia

I bought this game yesterday, and I am beginning to think it is the worst gaming purchase I have made. I cannot believe I waster £30 on this game! I am so stuck on it, and have no idea what to do, and it takes HOURS to actually get into it!

Has anybody else got any views on it?? And how to stop the machine making the weird sound in the Marine Cave?

You need to use a target clear on it!

To destroy it, you've gotta find a Gastrodon in one of the caves. Then, use it's Soak 2 on the machine.

I didn't enjoy the first one that much and the only reason I got this game way back when it first came out was for the events. I don;t enjoy the actual game itself, I find it boring and far to repetitive.

ya i thnk the game is great. it has a much deaper story line then the last one and theres a lot more to do. also its alot longer and makes more sewnse then the last one because in the last one u get a rank from every mission. where in this one u dont rank up all that often. also i thnk the system of capturin is alot better to.

That isnt the only reason. Its just so slow to do anything. I got past the Gastrodon bit, and am now Ranger Rank 2, but I just don't like it as much as the normal games (DPPt etc).

Ya never know, maybe I will like it more as I play it more??

Also, what about Mystery Dungeon?? Is that worth getting? If so, which one?

I thought the game was brilliant 0_o Rampardos was one tough pokemon to capture, his Rock Slides were hard to avoid...

But anyway, the game is great and I have tons of fun beating it.

Yeah, my sis just got it for her for her bday so ive been convincing her to beat it and helping her along so it can be my turn. she gets just as frustrated. it took her about 30 minutes just to FIND marine cave. yeah, that bad.

Use Target Clear. Soak the Gigaremo [the machine] with a Gastrodon.

hehe the game had much more fun than the past game! ive beaten the game already(which means im Rank 10 now ). in Ranger 1. u cant take ur friend pokemon out of their Natural enviroument unless of u beaten the game. but in Ranger 2. U can take ur friend pokemon out of their Natural Enviroument even if u didnt beat the game yet! and the Best of All: UBER-FUN RIDING ON EMPOLEON!!( there are other pokemon u can ride on. Doduo for Fast Running,Staraptor for Flying,and much more)

This game was ridiculously easy. I beat it 20 hours after it came out. The only challenge was Regigigas and Charizard, Flygon and Salamance in the Capture Arena.

If you ask me, I think that the Pokemon Ranger games are great, especially Shadows of Almia.
I like the different effect on how your now actually playing as a person. It's kind of hard to explain haha.
I just like it lol.

I captured Darkrai without assists
Heatran, Drapion and Gliscor were hard too.
I hate that puzzle in the Hippowdon temple
Especially that sandball-one

Mystery Dungeon, while a different genre altogether, is a MUCH better game than Ranger. Well, in my opinion anyway. :/ I really like the MD games but I can't stand Ranger.

I'm not one to talk, but I'd suggest buying it; it's too action-oriented a game to play well on an emulator.

I love the spin-off games! Well actually, I haven't beaten Shadows of Almia yet, as I haven't had a chance to play in about 10 days. But I say that the Mystery Dungeon games are definitely worth the buy. They really take your emotions for a ride!
