Ruby hack: POKéMON Ruby Destiny - Rescue Rangers [Hack of the Month July 2008]

So trying to do the mission with caterpie in vapid swamp get's you stuck there? So does that mean that's the end of the beta? Or is there a way around it.

no... you get stuck there IF you go back there AFTER the mission...

Errrm....for some reason, after the whole rubbish intro stuff, when I try to enter the building, it just won't let me past! Is this a bug or something else that only I'm experiencing?

don't double patch, have a MUGS intro in your Ruby ROM.
or it may be caused by a patching error...

I think that there might be an error with the patch. I'm not saying there is one, but I think there might be. Either that, or it's something to do with my rom...does it only work with U.S roms?

And don't yell. I can see the fact that it says U.S version, but it doesn't say that you have to use it. So how can you possibly tell?

I used an English rom, and that's close enough. I mean, English and U.S are the same, right?

Well I think it's a superb hack, at the very least. I've reached chapter 16, with the whole Sandslash thing, and now I'm waiting for the next beta.

I think not, since I tried it one time (patching a patched beta 1 to beta 2) and I can still continue my game...

EDIT: Turns out that I didn't patch it to a patched rom after all... I just patched it to a clean rom.

yes, it's only for U.S. versions of Ruby, with the MUGS intro.

remember not to commit double patching.
also, in betas 1 to 3.2, you must start a new game.


however, in the upcoming beta 4, you need not to start a new game. :3

Well im at vapid swamp for the first time with rock smash and i have torchic who learned rock smash but i dunno how 2 proceed. If this has been answered be4,sorry but im not going 2 flip thru page after page on this hack xD. So anyway anyone know how?
