Anyway, it looks pretty good so far. I'd suggest that you change the palette of the large trees to that of the small ones if possible, because they look out of place. If not, then at least make the large trees' outlines darker, as they don't stand out enough.

Some updates (yes, I renewed it):

New story and plot:
There will be no towns, just islands. The region is tropical till the end.
There are Exotic Tents, instead of gyms. Every leader will have Pokemon of a specific colour (or color, if you prefer that). They will give you Exotic Symbols. With 8 of them, you can enter the ??? Temple and battle the ??? there.
Every island is named after a tropical fruit. Can you guess what's the next island's name?

You start as aa 8 year-old boy/girl living on Banana Island. Your rival is the professor's son, so you get a starter (yet to be decided). More later...
