    Wondering if there are other ways to list them that, without repeats, include all the types in super-effective—or not very effective—order (barring Normal, at least).

    Normal beats nothing
    Bug beats Grass
    Grass beats Water
    Water beats Rock
    Rock beats Fire
    Fire beats Steel
    Steel beats Ice
    Ice beats Ground
    Ground beats Electric
    Electric beats Flying
    Flying beats Fighting
    Fighting beats Dark
    Dark beats Ghost
    Ghost beats Psychic
    Psychic beats Poison
    Poison beats Fairy
    Fairy beats Dragon
    Dragon beats itself and ends the chain

    Hm. Will try Ice instead of Fairy for beating Dragon. Hardly considers that ideal. Places a easily slottable type early.

    Needs Ground > Electric, as the only option. Means building around Poison. Locks Psychic into beating that. Also forces Ghost into that spot, due to only hitting itself and Psychic super-effectively. Leads to another forced choice of Dark beating Ghost. Current chains and pieces:

    Dark > Ghost
    Ghost > Psychic
    Psychic > Poison
    Poison > Fairy

    Ground > Electric

    Ice > Dragon
    Dragon > Dragon

    Prefers to work up from Dark next, with Bug and Fighting as the options. Picks...Bug? Sure. Sticks in Flying to hit that, followed by Rock, maybe?

    Ought to deal with Water. Gets zapped by Electric. Will have it deal with Fire, which hits Steel. Is linking up the two big chains now a good idea? Tried it. Nope. Current chains:

    Rock > Flying
    Flying > Bug
    Bug > Dark
    Dark > Ghost
    Ghost > Psychic
    Psychic > Poison
    Poison > Fairy

    Ground > Electric
    Electric > Water
    Water > Fire
    Fire > Steel

    Ice > Dragon
    Dragon > Dragon

    What types are left? Grass and Fighting? Needs Fighting after Fairy for sure. Rams all these chains together now. Sticks Grass at the top.

    I admittedly forgot about Fairy being super-effective against Fighting.
