[Showcase] Pokémon water colours

Hello PokéCommunity,

not long ago I tried my hand at water colours, together with inked outlines using a g pen. While there are still a lot of things to improve, I hope you like my selection anyway. My inspiration should be fairly obvious, at least for the older parts of the fan base.

Thank you Lavender. Ken Sugimori's artwork left a huge impression on me since my childhood. Therefore I always wanted to mimick his use of water colors, which took same practice to get right.



My entry for the art contest for the Pokémon Legacy Discord server. The task was to incorporate Pokemon Yellow, Crystal and Emerald in one image, which for me meant to just use the three mascots of the games. There were also suggestions to include some important landmarks as well, which can be seen with the Pokémon, Bell and Sky tower in the background. While it might be a simple composition, it was enough to win the secon place. It was a lot of fun and I look forward to the next contest.
