i do like that shade of pink for the girls, and i was thinking maybe just use the original color for the boys. seeing as how it was already a shade of blue to begin with.
 
Well, it has been 10 days, so I figured I'd update you all on what I've been doing. It's been a bit busy with school and all, so I haven't worked on it that much, but I did get stuff done. I decided to add a story to the heros house. Please tell me how it looks, so I can decide whether or not I should keep it. I am also applying colored text to more than just people. There will be colors on signsand other stuff as well. Here are some screens of all these changes!

I thought the colored text would make it stand out a bit. It looks pretty cool. What do you think of the house? Keep it or get rid of it?

The full game is a loooooong ways away... There's still so much to do. Don't worry, cause the next demo may not be very far off.

lol, yeah it kinda looks like a house on top of a house, but that's the only way I could add an extra floor... :D
 
Sorry for double posting here, but I actually made huge leeway with the game and I wanted to call some attention to it. I finally started work on the TV channels. Here's how the channel system works! Each City will have 3 of channels that are the same in all the cities, plus 3 that are unique to each city. This goes for Lento only, however. Kanto, Johto and Hoenn will run on a different system. So far, I have only done Everwind's channels, and here is a breakdown.

Ch. 1 - Prof Palm's Announcements(same) Prof. Palm will give you helpful trainer hints on her channel. There are different hints in each city.

Ch. 2 - The Town/City channel(unique) The same hosts, Jake and Mary, give you the lowdown on what the city's about, and tells you about some of the city's landmarks. If the city has a gym, they go intothe gym leader's pokemon type, and helpful strategies you should use.

Ch. 3 - (unique) In Everwind Town, this channel is ENN, or the EVerwind News Network. Other Towns and Cities may have something else on this channel.

Ch. 4 - PSBN(same) This is an entertaining channel, however it's the same battle again in each city and this will get a bit boring. I may find a way for the channel to show ranom battles each time, however.

Ch. 5 - (unique) In Everwind town, this channel is a music channel. For other cities, this channel may be news, etc.

Ch. 6 - Home Shopping(Same) Watch this channel. If you have money, you can order random items from this channel, and pick it up at any Pokemon Center.

Also, I will be bringing back room decorations and secret bases, so watch for those! Here are more screens!
 
They're some nice new features! I especially like the home shopping channel idea.
 
Thanks for the great comments! I've got more new screens. I am putting the TV studio into the game, like the Radio Tower in G/S/C. It's not done, however...

New Pokemon Names

Hey, thanks for all those great comments guys! :D Anyways, just to make an pdate of some kind, I might delve into the 100 new Pokemon I plan to make. Most of them are already drawn out (You'll notice one as my avatar), however, a lot are unnamed. I will post some of the names I have now, and I may just draw up some pictures for later! Anyway, here are some names:

Starters:
:pokeball: Seedy
:pokeball: Burnbal
:pokeball: Eelin

Other
:pokeball: Bunon
:pokeball: Darkfuzz
:pokeball: Sparry
:pokeball: Ironshape

Those are just 7 of them. I will post more later, as well as some pictures (but keep in mind, I'm not the best artist around...)
 
umm, could you post the starters sprites?
 
I don't want to sound rude, but those are a bit plain rubyrulez. Maybe you should have someone help you with sprites as that is not your expertise.
 
The edges look rough and there's no shadowing on the last 2 pokemon. For the first one, the shadowing is okay but the edge is rough.
