    Well, here goes nothing...

Chapter 1: Shining Adventures in the Werstoh Region
    Footsteps....careful footsteps....then...BOOM!
A wall had shattered on the outside of an ancient-looking temple. Behind the pile of rubble stood a man. The man walked into the temple. Giant walls stood before him, and in the center of the empty chamber, a pedestal. The man walked over to the pedestal, took a pocketknife,
and made a small incision in the palm of his hand; just enough to bleed. He used the blood to trace a strange symbol on the pedestal. at first, nothing happened, but within a few minutes, the walls began to glow. The man studied the glowing writing, as if searching for something.

The person tapped two fingers on two certain symbols; the Japanese Symbols for Hate and Love; and stood quietly.
The chilling breeze let in by the ruined wall behind him had given the man a slight pause. Then he murmured a string of strange words. Upon saying the words, a passageway revealed itself far in the dark corner of the chamber. The man fearlessly wandered on, through dozens of thin narrow hallways. Finally, the man reached a ladder. You could tell it was an old ladder, but it looked sturdy enough. The man climbed the ladder, which led to the ledge of a small hill inside the temple. The man turned to examine the labrynth he'd just escaped, but only for a moment, then he continued on. Finally, the man saw what seemed to be the final room in the temple.

It was a large room, and the darkness seemed to go on forever. In the center was a pedestal, making this room similar to the first chamber. The man fit a strange gem of some sort into a groove in the pedestal. The gem began to glow with a blinding light, revealing the rest of the chamber. Through squinted eyes, the man could make out a large statue at the end of the room. The light from the gem instantly shot towards the statue, which began to crack. The whole room at this point was in a huge tremor, whilst the man was standing in the center of the chamber, calm as could be. The statue cracked and cracked, shooting beams of light from every hole made in it. The man remained calm meanwhile. Finally, a monster of some sort emerged from the pile of shattered statue. It was large, almost as tall as the temple itself, and had glowing red eyes filled with hatred.
The man uttered the same strange words he had said before, and the creature picked the man up onto it's back, and took off, bursting a hold through the temple's wall. "GRRRROOOAAAARRR!!!" it shouted, as it quickly disapeared over the horizon.

"W...w...was it....a....dream?" said a boy laying in the grass on a small cliff. This boy was Chris Treamonte, a Pokemon trainer. He had recently defeated the Sinnoh Pokemon League and had previously beat Kantoh and Hoenn. "Swa?".
"No, I'm alright Skipper, it was just a dream." Chris was talking to Skipper, his Swampert. Chris and Skipper had been partners since the beggining of Chris' journey, and thier bond was an inspiring one indeed.
"Pert?" "You're right, we should get up, it's almost morning." Chris opened up his backpack pocket and dug around for a map. He found it, and opened it up on the ground. "There! Our next destination is...Freshlife Town, which according to the map should be...right on the foot of this cliff!" Chris looked at the map, admiring the many cities and landmarks and such with wide eyes. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes. Then got himself dressed and cleaned up.

He wore a blue sweatshirt, with a yellow "C" on it. The "C" stood for Chris, obviously. In the center of the "C" was a pokeball. He had blackish-brown hair, glasses, and a light mustache. He wore baggy cargo jeans and Nike shoes. Skipper was awake and anxious to go. "C'mon Skipper! The Werstoh region awaits!" The two raced to the tip of the cliff, taking in the beautiful sunrise as they ran. From the top of the cliff, Chris and Skipper could see way across Werstoh's horizon. Almost directly below was Freshlife Town, lit up by the morning sun.

The two made their way to the grassy field below, and headed for Freshlife. "There it is, Skipper! According to my trainer guide, Freshlife is where I'll get to choose my first Werstoh region Pokemon!".

The pair set foot in Freshlife, and almost instantly they felt a fresh sense of adventure surge through their bodies.
The town was small and peaceful, with maybe 10 buildings surrounding a small town sqaure with a Werstoh Region map in it. "Ah, you must be...Chris Tramontee?" said a man standing in front of a large building. "Uhh...yes that's me!" Chris replied back to the man, realizing it was Proffesor Pine. Prof. Pine was the Pokemon Prof of the Werstoh Region.
"So, do I get to choose my Pokemon now?" "Ah, an energetic young lad you are, but patience is the key to new doors, and your Werstoh region adventure is one of them..." said Pine, looking proud of himself.
Great, my first day in Werstoh, and I already have to figure out an old man's sensless riddles....thought Chris. "HAHAHA!" laughed Pine. "My lad, I'm merely pulling your leg! Do you really think I'd make you wait for your very first Werstoh region Pokemon!?" chuckled the Prof. "Oh....uhhh...yeah..." said a very confused Chris. "Follow me, young lad.". Pine led Chris towards the large building he was calling Chris from before. Skipper happily followed along. "Here they are! Narshark, Patchief, and Pygola!" said the Prof, pointing to three Pokemon.
Narshark looked like a small fish, with a brilliant horn erect and red markings on it's face. Patchief looked like a small feline, half green, half white, with a brown marking on it's shoulder, and yellow around it's eyes. Pygola looked like a pangolin, but red and brown with a large round tail. It was finishing it's breakfast, and didn't look too interested in anything going on around it. Pygola looked up towards Chris. "Pygo!". Suddenly Pygola pushed it's way through Narshark and Patchief and hopped into Chris' arms. "Hey there Pygola!". "Pypypy!".

As strange as it was, Pygola did seem happy to see Chris, as though they had known each other forever. "I guess Pygola will be coming with me!". "Golapie!" replied an excited Pygola. Prof Pine handed Chris Pygola's Pokeball, and a Pokedex. "Use this to record data on Pokemon you encounter, and good luck!" shouted the Prof as Chris, Skipper and Pygola darted towards Route 001, ready for the dawn of a new adventure. A Shining Adventure in the Werstoh Region...

Do something like that again, and it'll be a real warning. Rules say not to spam your thread to bump it.

If you would like more people to read your story, then make it more readable. Double-space every paragraph. Otherwise, everything looks squashed together, and no one wants to read it.

    Footsteps....careful footsteps....then...BOOM!
An ellipsis is only three dots: (...) Plus, it looks like really immature writing to have "BOOM!" rather than "an explosion".

The person tapped two fingers on two certain symbols; the Japanese Symbols for Hate and Love; and stood quietly.
Don't use semi-colons unless you know how to use them. They separate two related but complete thoughts. None of those are here.

    "GRRRROOOAAAARRR!!!" it shouted,

If you want drama, don't use weird sound effects that would make the reader laugh.

Since I don't have the time to go through each line, I'll just say this: Use spell-check. Read over your chapters. Read the Grammar Advice thread stickied in the Lounge. Take your time.

Sorry about that...I had posted this story somewhere else and it ended up on the last page after 2 days, I dont want to see that happen again...:(

    Anyways,

Chapter 2: Pygola and the PBBL
We join Chris, Skipper and Pygola on their trek through
    Route 001...

"So, Pygola, are you thinking about your first battle?"

"Pyg...ola!!" Pygola looked as though to say That sounds awesome! Chris noticed a boy standing in a grass patch a couple of feet away. Chris walked over to the boy.

    "Hey, you!"

    "Me?"

"Yeah, you! Do you want to have a Pokemon battle?"

    "Okay!"

The boy looked to be about 12, the same age as Chris. He was a little on the tall side, and looked like a very focused kid.
He wore a green sweater vest, with a white t-shirt under it.
He had spiky blue hair, like something straight out of an anime. He wore red fingerless gloves and grey sweatpants.

    "My name is Perry."

"I'm Chris, nice to meet you!" .

    "Okay, shall we begin,"

"Gladly." replied Chris, with Pygola standing besides him in a fighting stance.

Perry threw a Pokeball high into the air.

    "Go, Skidgeon!"
The Pokeball hit the ground, and in a flash of bright red light, an orange, bird-like Pokemon appeared. Skidgeon was a flying type, and Pygola was a fire type. There were no clear advantages.

    "Skidgeon, use quick attack!"

The bird Pokemon immediately started charging at Pygola, blue wings spread wide.

Chris had checked his trainer's guide before the battle to see what moves Pygola could use.

    "Pygola, use....Fire Tire!"

Pygola rolled its entire body up into a ball lit ablaze with scorching infernos, and rolled speedily at Skidgeon.
The two exchanged attacks, and each knocked each other back to the ground.

    "Pygola, quick, use....ember!"
Pyyyy...gola! Pygola shot small orange sparks at Skidgeon, who just barely dodged the attack.

"Pygola, use ember again!" Pygola aimed it's attack, and it delivered. Skidgeon struggled to withstand the attack, but collapsed on the ground.

    "We did it Pygola!!"

Pygola and Chris were doing a little victory dance while Perry was reassuring Skidgeon that it was O.K.

"Thats one powerful Pygola you have there."

"Thanks," Chris said, looking at Pygola, "and we can only get stronger!" .

"Well, it was a pleasure battling, but I've got to be on my way, maybe we'll meet again some time?"

"Maybe." At that note, Perry had to leave for Tinntux town.

"Swamswamp!" Skipper was pointing to a sign.
Chris and Pygola took a closer look.

    The sign read;
"ATTENTION! Tinntux Town will be holding it's annual Pokemon Battle Basketball League tournament tommorow at 5:00 PM!"

"Pokemon Battle Basketball?" Chris asked, scratching his forehead.
"Piiii..." Pygola was looking at a picture on the sign of a Pikachu slam-dunking the ball into the hoop with sparks jetting out from behind it. Pygola imagined itself on the sign, slamming the ball through the hoop with flames encircling it.

"So, Pygola, do you want to enter the PBBL tournament tommorow?"

It was obvious to Chris that Pygola did, so they had decided to sign Pygola up.

"Pyg!" Pygola spotted a rusty old basketball court a while down the trail. They all ran to the spot, picked up a basketball, and began to play a few rounds. Back at home, Chris and Skipper used to play every now and again, but rarely got the chance, considering they were always badge hunting.

Pygola was pretty darn good at the sport, zooming up and down the court, zigging and zagging through Chris and Skipper and slamming the ball into the net with surprising power. "Wow Pygola! Have you practiced or something?"
    Pygola shook it's head.

"I guess you're just a natural basket ball player!" said Chris, taking a shot and then missing.

After about 10-20 minutes of playing, the group decided to head for Tinntux Town. They were only a couple of miles away from Tinntux town, so it didnt take long at all to get there.

Tinntux Town was a bustling, busy town. "Wow, this is like the Jubilife of Werstoh!" said Chris, admiring the skyscrapers towering above him. Wow! Chris thought that since the tournament was the next day, the three might as well explore around Tinntux town.

Together the trio bought special town pass tickets, a special ticket that allows visitors to have free access to all Tinntux's luxuries.

Together, Chris, Skipper, and Pygola explored museums, resturaunts, shops, and even Werstoh's radio station tower.
Finally, they lugged their heavy tote bags filled with souvenirs, and leftover food to a bench in the park.

"You guys, I had fun today...thanks for hanging out with me today."
Skipper and Pygola nodded and the three sat in the park for awhile.

Later that evening, Chris bought the gang a room in the town's Pokemon Center.
That night, the three friends stayed up late blaying board games and watching T.V.

    "Pyyygolaaa......"

Pygola drifted off to sleep right in the middle of the game board.
Skipper rolled the dice anyway, and moved his game peices. He landed on the "Go directly to jail" tile.

Skipper decided that his bed would be his jail, and started to sleep.

Chris fell asleep watching a late night show.

That night, Pygola dreamt about being a famous basketball player. He dreamt of shooting down the field and slamming the ball into the hoop. He dreamt that he made the winning point for his team.
Pygola opened its eyes. "1:42" shined brightly on the clock's face. Pygola remembered that he had the PBBL tournament coming up tommorow, and drifted back off to sleep.

That morning, Skipper slowly opened his eyes, surprised to find both Chris and Pygola showered and cleaned up.
Skipper wanted to get out of bed, but was obviously still tired. Skipper literally ended up falling face first on the floor.
Chris and Pygola let out a light chuckle. Skipper looked serious at first, but then laughed himself.

"Ah, what a start to a morning! Well, we should probably get going to the Basketball tournament."
Pygola felt a cold breeze go down its back when it heard "Basketball Tournament".

"Okay PBBL fans, here are this tournaments rules, " screamed the announcer, " 10 contestants go in, 1 winner comes out!"

"Okay Pygola, just do your best! Theirs five matches, so you should be fine throughout".

Pygola had a bit of stagefright but got over it once the first match started.

"3...2...1...BEGIN!" The first match had begun.
Pygola was up against a Buizel. This buizel was wearing a PBBL headband and t-shirt.

Pygola made a shot from the foul line, the ball bounced off the rim and into Buizel's arms, who took a shot.
Pygola began with another foul shot. This time, the ball circled around the rim, but went in.

Buizel began the next round by using Aqua Jet to get up close to the rim, then dunked.

"Hey, c...can Buizel do that?!" yelled Chris.

The person next to him in the audience turned and said "Of course, why do you think its called Pokemon Battle Basketball?".

    "Then Pygola should be careful...".

Pygola used Fire Tire to get up next to the backboard, the 'rectangular wall' at the back of the hoop.
    Pygola scored another 2 points.

BUZZ! The game had ended, with the final score as 5-3, Pygola.

The next match began. Pygola was up against a machop.
This particular machop wasn't too good at basketball, as it missed most shots.

The third match wasn't too exciting either.
Pygola vs Dunsparce. Considering Dunsparce didnt have any arms or legs.

The Fourth match was pretty challenging at first, but nothing Pygola couldn't handle.
Pygola breathed a sigh of relief. This was getting too easy!!

Pygola stepped onto the court for the fifth match.
    So did an Ursaring.

    "Let the match, begin!"

Pygola rushed to the side of the hoop, attempting a layup. Ursaring snatched the ball, and gave it a light toss.
Ursaring was tall, so the ball went right in. Pygola tried its best, only to end up in a 18-18 tie, with 00:10 on the clock.
Pygola uses ember towards Ursarings feet, giving Pygola a little time to make its way towards the hoop.
Urasring launched a Shadow Claw attack, which just brushed the top of Pygola's head. Pygola turned and gave Ursaring a swift smack.

    "Pypypy-gola!" teased Pygola

Ursaring was angry now. It charged right at Pygola.
    00:08
Pygola ducked so that it fit through Ursaring's legs.
    00:07
Ursaring picked up Pygola by it's back.
    00:06
Pygola slapped Ursaring with it's tail.
    00:05
Pygola made the shot from Ursaring's arms.
    00:04
    It just missed
    00:03
    Pygola made a quick rebound
    00:02
That missed, but Pygola caught it on the rebound again. Then a quick toss...
    00:01
    The ball swished through
    00:00

The Buzzer rang. Pygola had won!
The crowd was just about to surround Pygola and cheer, but a judge stepped through the crowd holding a camera.

"Attention, attention please! The real winner of this match is Ursaring!" yelled the judge.

"What?! On what standards?" yelled Chris, trying to sound important.

He showed the crowd an instant replay, explaining that Pygola's final shot was made on the exact time the clock stopped. Chris wanted to say something, but this judge was persistant.

    "Pola..."

"Hey Pygola, that was some awesome basketball playing there! Wouldn't you agree Skipper?"

    "Swa?"

Chris dug his elbow into Skipper's side.

"Swamp!" Skipper said, sounding cheerier than before.

Pygola didn't seem to be too upset by the whole ideal, but Chris knew it would be a touchy subject, so they avoided talking about it.

Upon re-entrance to Tinntux town, Chris noticed a building behind the movie theater he hadn't seen before.
    It was a Pokemon Gym!

"Oh my God! I forgot about my Badge!" Chris said, embarrased.

"Well rest up tonight and challenge the Gym tommorow!" said Chris, walking towards the Pokemon Center.

Skipper marched behind, ready to sleep, and hoping to not fall face first on the floor tommorow morning...
