I'm vaguely surprised I haven't seen this, so I'll start one myself. That is, if people are interested. If enough people would like to see a Pokecommunity Mafia game, either to participate or just spectate, let me know here and I might make one! I assume most of you know or at least have heard of Mafia, but these are the rules:
Spoiler:
- There are two groups, the Mafia and the Townies, given different names dependent on the setting.
- The Mafia aim to eliminate enough Townies so that they outnumber or are equal to them, by voting to kill one of them each night phase.
- The Townies don't want this to happen, so they can vote to lynch a character each day phase, eliminating them from the game. If all the Mafia are eliminated, the Townies win.
- Among Us is based off this game, so it will be familiar to those who have played it.
- Many games include additional roles that have different effects on the gameplay.
- Roles are assigned in secret, and no one is allowed to reveal who they are. This means the game becomes one of weeding out suspicious players and identifying the Mafia, or, for the Mafia, choosing targets carefully, hopefully killing someone with a role that could put them at a disadvantage.
- Some games even have an element of roleplaying as characters, giving it a bit more spice. This isn't required, however, it is merely an option for those who can and want to bring it to the table. Some players in a group may roleplay, some may not.
