    Introduction
    ........................
I play pretty offensively and I usually just throw in a wall or two to take some hits but I use a lot of sweepers. So here I try to build a stall team which I severely suck at so I'll need alot of help. I know I post too many RMT's I just need one more team rated then I'll shut up.

    Name : Hippowdon
    Item : Leftovers
    Ability : Sand Stream
    Nature : Impish
    EV : 252 HP | 252 Defence | 4 Special Defence

    • Slack Off - Instant recovery is purely awesome for Hippowdon.
    • Earthquake - Provides good STAB and hits other leads like Metagross, Jirachi and Heatran.
    • Stone Edge - Hits troublesome threats like Salamence, Dragonite and Gyarados.
    • Stealth Rock - Every team should put up the rocks and Hippowdon is very good at that as he isn't exactly easy to take down.
Hippowdon is an excellent physical wall and it's very hard to take him down with a physical attack. He gets the rocks up reliably and hits other leads for good damage. I threw the excess EV's into Attack to power-up his attacks.

    Name : Skarmory
    Item : Leftovers
    Ability : Keen Eye
    Nature : Impish
    EV : 252 HP | 64 Attack | 176 Defence | 16 Speed

    • Brave Bird - This attack can 2HKO Gyarados after SR damage(No Intimidate) and can OHKO Infernape with SR. The recoil is barely anything as it doesn't do much.
    • Roost - Gives Skarmory instant recovery as well as shedding his Flying-type weaknesses if he's faster.
    • Spikes - Sets down another form of residual damage. I aim for two layers of Spikes usually though one is fine as well.
    • Whirlwind - Assuming Skarmory is still in good health and Spikes, Stealth Rock and maybe Toxic Spikes are down I keep using this to keep making him switch.
Skamory is a solid Spiker and physical wall as well. He can damage stuff with Brave Bird as well as Roosting off damage. His purpose is simple, lay down 1-2 layers of Spikes and wall some physical attacks.

    Name : Tentacruel
    Item : Leftovers
    Ability : Liquid Ooze
    Nature : Calm
    EV : 252 HP | 120 Defence | 136 Special Defense

    • Surf - Without EV investments this won't really do much unless it's super-effective. STAB helps but not a very powerful attack.
    • Rapid Spin - While Spinners are very rare on offensive teams they are more common in stall teams because you got to spin Spikes/Stealth Rock away else it'll burden your walls.
    • Toxic Spikes - Lays down the final form of residual damage. Two layers is generally what I aim for.
    • Ice Beam - To hit Dragon-types like Salamence and Flygon and his only weapon against Celebi.
Tentacruel has a simple role, he spins away Spikes/Stealth Rock that my opponent has laid and lays down Toxic Spikes in the process. Surf/Ice Beam allows him to damage stuff.

    Name : Blissey
    Item : Leftovers
    Ability : Natural Cure
    Nature : Calm
    EV : 252 Defence | 80 Special Attack | 176 Special Defence

    • Softboiled - As the special wall of this team she gets hammered quite alot and needs to heal.
    • Flamethrower - If I can manage to nail Lucario/Scizor on the switch-in they both take good damage.
    • Seismic Toss - Only way for Blissey to beat something with a Sub.
    • Wish - Provides Wish support for Rotom-H and Tentacruel.
The prenium special wall of the metagame. She mops up special attacks while providing Wish support for my two okemon without a recovery move.

    The Green Pixie

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokedra tries to build a stall team....("Tries" is the key word lololol :x)

    Name : Celebi
    Item : Leftovers
    Ability : Natural Cure
    Nature : Bold
    EV : 252 HP | 220 Defence | 36 Speed

    • Grass Knot - Offers her STAB and hits Rhyperior, Swampert and Gyarados decently.
    • Recover - When she's taking on tough threats like Gyarados and needs to recover, also to stall out with Perish Song is in place.
    • Leech Seed - Helps her stall out Pokemon like Gyarados also very useful in general for damaging and healing. Leech Seed + Leftovers = 20% if they try to stay in.
    • Perish Song - Celebi can use this to force switches and also to take out big threats to the team.
Celebi serves as my Gyarados check as even a +1 Ice Fang hardly dents her. She also counters bulky waters like Swampert and Suicune.

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokedra tries to build a stall team....("Tries" is the key word lololol :x)

    Name : Rotom-H
    Item : Leftovers
    Ability : Levitate
    Nature : Timid
    EV : 200 HP | 122 Defence | 188 Speed

    • Thunderbolt - Rotom-H can serve as my check to Gyarados(though flygon can to a certain extent). Hits Water-types as well for good damage.
    • Shadow Ball - Reliable STAB that hurts Gengar and Dusknoir as well as Psychic-types like Cressy.
    • Overheat - Rotom-H can also serve as my check to Scizor as Overheat takes him out easily.
    • Will-O-Wisp - When I run into extremely powerful physical threats and I burn them. The accuracy is a worry but not really that bad.
Rotom-H is a solid, reliable Pokemon and he serves as my check to Gyarados and Scizor who are two enormous threats. He can also switch in on Ground-move and Fiighting-moves with no fear at all.

    ........................
    Conclusion
    ........................
This is my first attempt at making a decent stall team so I doubt it's any good. I checked off most big threats but there will be many more. Please help my hopeless stall time ^__^

Nothing on this team can take a special hit to save its life.

In addition Magnezone poops on your primary walling.

No answer to SD Luke. (Outspeeds Rotom and OHKO's with Crunch). You might want to use a speedier ev spread to hit 280 speed : - 252 HP / 70 DEF / 188 Speed @ Timid. Also, Will-o-Wisp conflicts with T-Spikes. Id just use Toxic to hit zapdos and what not.

    No Wish support.

No Perish Song or any way to deal with last poke sweeps.

Scarfgon on a stall team ...eww, there are a hell of a load of things that can counter Gyarados better and provide something you currently lack.

Basically what D_A said. Skarmory and Bronzong on the same team is just @______@, about every special sweeper in the game punches you in the mouth, and you have a ton of weaknesses. The fact that you actually have to revenge kill ScarfTran (the offensively retarded one) to beat it kind of shows what I mean. Only two Pokemon have recovery as well, so your team isn't going to be very hard to stall out by opposing stall teams. Basically, offense AND stall beats you, either scrap this team or make significant changes.

If you're going with the latter, remove Flygon. Scarfers...no >_< Also remove Bronzong. It's not doing anything. Put in Blissey and then something to beat fighters in the last slot (but don't use Gliscor lol). Also, Atk EVs on Hippowdon are useless, as are Speed EVs on Tentacruel. In both cases, move the EVs to SDef (though on Hippowdon they work with Def too).

On a somewhat related note, the move descriptions are just useless and point out obvious things. Some examples:

"U-Turn - Scout and run move."
"Slack Off - Instant recovery is purely awesome for Hippowdon."

I mean, some were better, but the idea of comments is to give insight about why they are on your team and why you need that pokemon. Obvious move descriptions like the ones about are fine if you really want them, but at least have some real content behind them. Granted, it's nitpicky, but they really are necessary, especially for a playing style as complicated and as hard to pull off as stall. Just for future reference.

And I've only changed your thread title once =/

EDIT: Hope you like the new tag ^_______^

This team is 100% inferior to Vance Stall (which will make a comeback!). First of all, nothing on your team reliably kills Heatran, besides Tentacruel (2HKOed by a Life Orb Earth Power), and Flygon (who should not be used on a Stall team. Hell, it wouldn't work on an offensive Stall team). So, in order to patch that up, let's start by removing Flygon, perhaps the weakest link on this team. Of all the Heatran counters you can find, Snorlax is easily the best, however, what does Snorlax add to this team? Very little I'm afraid, meaning you have to take the Blissey route. But do not fear, Pokedra, Blissey adds a lot to your team; namely Aromatherapy/Wish support, a solid Gengar counter, and someone who can take on Heatran (predicted Explosions better go to Rotom-h, though).

    Blissey @ Leftovers
    Calm
    82 SpA / 252 Def / 176 SpD
    -Seismic Toss
    -Softboiled
    -Flamethrower
    -Aromatherapy / Wish

Flamethrower is there because it dents Lucario switch-ins, because let's face it, Lucario kicks your ass currently. Now that we established your weakness to SD Luke, let's look at ways to fix it:

I like D_A's suggestion of making Rotom-h faster, thus more capable to kill Lucario. It'll also help with burning Jolly Tyranitar and Metagross, so ironically, Speed outdoes Defense in strength of walling. Still, be careful as Tyranitar WILL still 2HKO you with Crunch when burned, and Pursuit will still hurt a lot if you switch, and even if you don't, it's an uncomfortable amount to take.

Bronzong has no place on this team. Dual Screens works best on offensive teams looking to set things up. You could have something more reliable in that spot, namely a more effective answer to opposing stall teams. I have been using Tangrowth to immense success (and when I say immense, I mean stalling out Scizor immense).

    Tangrowth @ Leftovers
    Impish
    252 HP / 228 Defense / 28 Speed
    -Power Whip
    -Knock Off
    -Sleep Powder
    -Leech Seed

Counters Gyarados MUCH more reliably than Rotom-h, and also backs up Rotom and Hippowdon against Tyranitar, Metagross, and even Scizor (CB X-Scissor never OHKOs, and if you manage to Knock Off its Choice Band on the switch, you're golden). Leech Seed + Sleep Power outstalls so many things it's scary. And with these EVs, you outrun Relaxed Mixpert and have your way with it. Power Whip also defeats BulkyGyara using Taunt, as it 3HKOs with SS damage IIRC. This thing is honestly ridiculous. The amount of sweepers I stopped with it is insane, and I truly mean this.

Of course, you might want a more reliable way to handle Bulky Waters ._. Such as Suicune and Vaporeon. If that's the case, Celebi is the best (though more standard, and less bulky) choice. Leech Seed is essential though, as without it everything sets up on you. You could try this:

    Celebi @ Leftovers
    252 HP / 220 Def / 36 Spe
    -Grass Knot
    -Leech Seed
    -Recover
    -Perish Song

Yep, standard as hell. Perish Song is invaluable as well, if only Growth got it >_<

Your team should look something like this: Hippowdon / Skarmory / Blissey / Celebi or Tangrowth / Tentacruel / Rotom-h

Where have I seen this before...hmm, oh yeah, it's EXACTLY OBI'S TEAM (minus Spiritomb). I'm sorry Pokedra, but covering weaknesses isn't easy without resorting to standards =(

    ?_______________?
Okay thanks guys for all this help. I'll replace Bronzong with Celebi and Flygon with Blissey. Lemme edit some of the EV's.

Vance, I had Blissey on mind when making this and I was about to put it on but I thought the SS would damage her walling capalitles slightly and I wanted a revenge killer but yeah I'll replace Flygon. Never liked him anyway :D

You might want to note that Blissey's using more than 510 EVs, change that spread to 252 Def / 80 Sp.Atk / 176 SpDef. ~_~

Other than that I don't have much else to say.

Only if you provoke us ;D

You still need to edit the Tentacruel and Hippowdon EVs. They're nasty. Or as I said in my first post, "Also, Atk EVs on Hippowdon are useless, as are Speed EVs on Tentacruel. In both cases, move the EVs to SDef (though on Hippowdon they work with Def too)."

Basically Platinum ObiStall at this point so there's not much left to rate really.

I fixed those EV's but I'm considering Rotom-H's EV's. I mean I like outspeeding Lucario but he loses alot of survability. Loss of Bold Nature+EV's hurts his walling power.

Yeah..lol stall teams in OU are all very similar =/
