LeafGreen hack: Pokemon: Advanced Adventure

@b58, which emulator are u using? That is very strange you are experiencing these problems. I have played through the game at least 20 times and never once encountered that problem. If you arent using codebreaker or gameshark codes, then try changing your sav file type in VBA emulator
 
Well... I had the problem first at the guards too but somehow I fixed it.

Now I'm at the Pokemon HQ, I encountered 2 problems (I love quick saving):

1. The "Mew" (At least, I think that it is a Mew), is bugged and freezes up when you talk to it.

2. The first E4 member, freezes on contact. Cannot go back so any quick solutions?
 
awesome hack so far!! congrats! is there a way to evolve yanma though? i mean, it evolves by learning ancient power from a move tutor only. Is yanmega even in the dex? it would be great to get it! it's the first time i get yanma in my team and surprisingly its a good member so far. I would like to get it to evolve :)
 
If its not in the first 3 generations, then you cant evolve it

my emulator is "gameboid v2.3.7"
I'm using this version of this emulator from the time I started playing Pokemon games. do you suggest me to play again from beginning?
 
Mmmm... I got out of the E4 due a earlier save file, but the Mew event won't activate... Any ideas?
 
After i kill/catch the green salamence the game freezes shortly after the text and i cant progress? Any idea on what to do?
 
Everything seems okay, but the Ash, Misty, and Gary thing is really getting old. Why not make new characters? If you don't have anyone to do it then I would. And if I see that Ash backsprite again I think I'm going to have a stroke! Lol
 
Hey jeez I've been stuck at this part in the dragon village i went to capture salamance but as soon as it said "The Dragon Village!" It froze is this for everyone or just me? PLZ help I really love this game god job by the way
 
Okay so i noticed something.
In the haunted tower, right when you go up the stairs after the exorcist with the misdreavus, I get into a 2on2 battle.
The thing is: only my Furrets got HP left, so the battle starts but i get 2 Furrets, even though I only have one. Both of them being seen as individual pkmn, but having identical PP.
When i look at my team, while in battle, my Fukano is also doubled and has taken place of my furret.
On top of that, if i return to the battle, after watching at my team, my own pkmn disappear and also will the game show me Fukanos name instead of Furrets (moves are still Furrets though).
After the battle is over, it seems everything cooled down again.

I got curious so i switched Furrets position from #4 to #1, result: my (fainted) Gyarados, is suddenly alive, with 0 hp. It will be ignored by the foe and it wont react to given commands.
If my furret now dies, its counted as a loss.
EDIT Even with two of the same kind, if the original dies its a loss. Again: The copie wont be attacked, but it can use its moves (under the condition there are PP left)


Tried this a couple times, its always Furret (or the pkmn alive) and the pkmn on #4.

So yeah, just wanted to share this with you, dont know If anyone else noticed. Its not much of a bother, it helps actually, but yeah, should be fixed.
Even though i doubt you can abuse this bug in any smart way.

That's how 3rd generation games handle double battles when trainer does not have 2 Pokemon and hacker does not check for it...
Not a bug. Just a feature of the original ROM.
 
Oh really? Ive never been much into 3rd gen haha.
Always prefered the first and second.

But anyway, it seems kinda useless to me? why should it be focused on pkmn #4?`
Ah well whatever nvm .


BTT: Is there an evolution list? cause i need to know when my scyther will evolve
 
You can view the evolution of ANY pokemon, by using the hacking tool YAPE :)!

Btw that bug you posted is built into the leafgreen rom, so i wont even put any effort into fixing it haha

Well... it's pretty much unfixable because you would have to rewrite the whole routine to "fix" it...
You can edit your double battle scripts so they check whether trainer has 2 usable Pokemon, though...
 
what to do after beating brendan

Yeah i also went to oak after talking to mon but h keeps saying capture 5 guardians

Hey guys..i just got to the the headquarters. And i clicked on mew ut it froze the game. I saved it right before though. So i reset it. Skipped mew. Went jnto the first room of the elite. And when i talked to the woman..it froze again. Help anyone?
 
@RRR3 I am not sure how to fix this. For some reason, some people's map scripts stop working for some reason. I do know that it has to do with your sav file. I have experimented with these problems before and it appears you get them when you use codebreaker/gameshark codes or when you do not use the VBA emulator.

@ Markosharko98 after you beat Brendon, you've beaten the game!
