Pokemon Adventures- Gold and Silver

"He's a Piplup." He said, smiling. "The Penguin Pokemon." He stated.
Looking at the Piplup, he started thinking about what he would name him. "Hmm..." Then it came to him. "I'll name you... Iceberg."
Piplup smiled and nodded.

Tristan looked at Raine. "So." He said. "How about a battle?"

Iceberg missed, and took the electricity. This hurt Iceberg quite a bit, but he could take more. Tristan decided it was time for strategy, and not just plain attacking. "Iceberg, use Growl!"

So, the Piplup started to say it's own name cutely and innocently, making Spark hesitate.

"Spark snap out of it and use Volt Tackle!" Raine said. Spark shook it's head before running at iceburg charging electricity around herself as she ran. Raine smiled nervously since Tristan said Piplup was a Penguin Pokemon she knew that meant water, which meant electric moves were super effective Iceburg.

Tristan ordered Iceberg to use Growl again. He knew he was putting himself and his Piplup at great risk, but he would be in danger anyway. Piplup, a water type, was up against an electric type.
Iceberg kept using Growl, even after he took the Volt Tackle, which caused some more damage.

That was enough. "Iceberg, jump out of the way!" So he did. "Time to shine." Tristan then pulled out a Potion that his Mom had given him before he left Newbark. He quickly sprayed it on the Piplup's wounds, and he felt better. "Now, use Bubble!" Iceberg started to blast bubbles at Spark. The move was a lot like BubbleBeam, except the bubbles didn't have as much power and were a bit slower.

"Spark Dodge the bubbles and use Volt tackle" Raine called out. Spark ran forward getting hit by a few of the bubbles as she ran toward Iceberg Raine crossed her fingers hoping he got lucky and the move hit being super effective.

Iceberg saw Spark using Volt Tackle. He knew he didn't have much chance here, but he was determined to win. Even though his trainer didn't tell him to, he kept blasting bubbles, putting more strength into it the more he blasted them. This was very tiring, though.
(Haha, these battles are a lot more fun RPing than in the game. More detailed and more spirited in everything :3 Sorry if its carrying on forever though xD)

(it's fine this is really fun :)

Spark's attack missed and she knew her trainer was unable to see so she took matters into her own hands. Spark started dodging the bubbles getting hit by a few here or there and taking a little damage but not much. She was going to wait until Iceberg was tired to act.

Raine had no idea what was going on but a part of her knew Spark had taken over and she seemed content with that.

Iceberg blasted a few more bubbles. But after that, he couldn't take much more. He stopped and took a few deep breaths. By this time both Spark and Iceberg were really worn down.
Iceberg used one more Growl, without his trainer's mark. But he knew that was what he was going to want him to do anyway, so it didn't matter.

Tristan smiled nervously as he watched the battle.

"..." Tristan couldn't think of anything. Was there a way to get out of this? Right when he thought they were about to lose, Iceberg used his last ounce of strength and shot more Bubbles at the ThunderShock. The two powerful forces/elements fought against eachother, trying to reach the other Pokemon, and finally, it just exploded in the middle.

After the smoke cleared, Tristan could see both of the Pokemon had fainted. A tie. He let out a faint smile, relieved that, at least he didn't lose. He ran to his Pokemon's side. His Piplup opened his eyes and let out it's own faint smile. Tristan looked at his friend and her Pokemon, they were both okay.

And that was their first battle.

"The battle's over," Tristan said. "We both won. Or, we both lost. Depends on how you look at it, I guess." He picked up the Pokeball, and pointed it at his tired Piplup. "Return. You did good." Iceberg turned into a red light and returned to the Pokeball. Tristan put up the ball.

Knowing that Raine couldn't see, he picked up her Pichu and walked over to her and returned it to her.

Raine smiled "Thanks" she said calling Spark into her Poke"ball for some reason she found herself warming up to Tristan and no longer feeling as shy with him. "Um...i know this may seem odd...but, could you tell me what this area looks like...i've never seen anything so i don't know what anything looks like" she said nervous only because of what she asked.
