I think I said this before but ever since the crash of pokebank..I have hated the word "Soon"....

I am hoping for a very prompt release, considering that on January 21rst they asked us to "stay tuned" to the social channels for updates and it took about 2 weeks to have one. Still, I am glad for our European friends :)

Oh good. Downloading it now.

Now gradually we (as least, those outside of America =p) can cease saying Nintendo is terrible and talking about things like 'if Pokemon was on sony'. =p Edit: This being the best day of one's life however...

Everything I said still stands. It doesn't make a difference if Pokébank is released now, the entire situation goes to show how far behind the curve Nintendo is. This has only been one example. Everything is just as true now as it was a couple hours ago when I said it.

Any idea how to select boxes other than box 1 for the GenV -> Bank transfer part? I could never scroll past the first box.

You can't, since there's only one transfer box in the Bank itself, so logically only one box can go through at a time, and you have to remove the first box before you put another through :c Sucks that there's no mass move of everything to the first box :|

Anyways I'm glad about this because I can clear out my boxes finally, I already have scanned GTS for good deals on shiny mons. Traded a Raikou that I migrated earlier for a shiny Axew with +attack nature and perfect attack, v cool c:

You know, I couldn't care less for all the online stuff that Nintendo or any other company promotes. Sure, it has its perks, but when push comes to shove, it's generally not worth it all the time. In the time I've been waiting for Pokémon Bank to come out, I've been working other 3DS titles that I know a lot of people likely haven't played or probably even heard of.

While everybody stateside is whining about Pokémon Bank not getting released at the same time as everywhere, the Nintendo EShop is suddenly down, more than likely for this exact update. If you've waited over a month like me, you can wait a little while longer. There was never a rush for this, just a bunch of incessant whining by people who don't know how to be patient... >.>

So sorry to hear it's only out in Europe still. I completely don't understand that. Here's hoping for a fast release everyone out there!

Meanwhile I can't wait to enjoy my collection on X and Y!

Perhaps if they were the only company who delayed anything, however, they seem to be on par with the other guys:

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/technology-science/technology/ps4-playstation-4-release-date-2468428

https://ps4daily.com/2013/11/planetside-2-delayed-on-the-playstation-4-until-early-2014/

And those are entire games, this is just a little side pereipheral for one game series, it doesn't have nearly as many people focused on it's release as entire games do so it's hardly fair to blame all of Nintendo for this one delay when other companies are delaying whole games and they devoted a LOT more staff to it than this little peripheral app has.

those weren't delayed day before and not given any info about it for over a month

Anyone else transferring Pokemon, and their nicknames are being replaced? Only one of the Pokemon that I have sent over has actually kept its nickname out of the 30 transferred. For example, my Zangoose was called Spot, but now, it is just Zangoose. Is this meant to happen?

i thought USA got store updates on Thursdays anyway.....

If this is the case (& I believe you're right), that would suggest that NA will be getting the Bank on Thursday, or unfortunately, a week or so after. This being the case, I'm pretty assured that we will be getting the Bank on Thursday. Also, I know that the NA eShop hasn't been updated, as I just looked at Pimpnite's video about Pokebank, & the EU eShop is slightly different than ours (as I believe Monster Hunter or whatever came out today is also available on the EU eShop as a "New Release" while the NA eShop has the same old stuff from last week)

What are you talking about? they gave us info about it when it was taken down, they gave us the info Dec 26 to be exact:

In what universe is "Every related news site and the company themselves giving you information" counted as "NOT giving and info about it for over a month"? Do you go into a restaurant, look at the menu and go "This place is giving me NO idea what product they offer!" ;-)

Speaking on pokemon in particular and not comparing it to any other game:they are so disappointing, I'm not even interested in getting the bank anymore, I haven't even played my copies any lately ( before someone said how much stuff there is to do: got shiny charm, two boxes of 5-6iv pkmn for competition, numerous shinys, strange souvenir, max nobility tons of poke miles, all the available Berry's, pretty much all the battle maison items except that crappy ability capsule ) I just don't see why they are delaying it for na , don't care much anymore either, this is Pokémon biggest failure IMO

I think what she was saying is that after announcing that the Bank was going to be delayed, Nintendo was pretty much silent on the whole thing for over a month. All those websites you listed just state that the Bank is/was down. Nintendo never really said why the Bank was down (at first anyway) or gave us an ETA. That's what Phangy was talking about.

The point is we only found out it was going to be delayed a day before it was due to be released, and they have barely given us any information at all about it since, other than "it will be coming soon". What you have linked can hardly be classed as information. To use your restaurant analogy, it's like ordering food at a restaurant and being told every half hour "sorry, your food will be ready soon".

Look what I found on Serebii. https://www.serebii.net/index2.shtml

I cant believe that the Europe, Australia and New Zealand got it before we did. smdh.

Welcome to the party. I have no idea why they have a chip on their shoulder about the Americas, but I think (and I could be wrong) that it's possibly because the fans in the States have been the most outspoken about their impatience. I could be wrong, but that's the only explanation I can think of.

... until finally they bring you your food the next morning.

From what I heard they were forcing "decapitalization" on transferred Pokémon (meaning that even if it's traded and impossible to rename, its name will be changed to be in lowercase characters as soon as it's in the bank, so that Pokémon from generations 3 and 4 don't stand out that much) , for which I salute them. But in your case it might be a glitch with the system being overzealous or something...

No, that's EXACTLY right. As an American Pokémon fan myself, I have to say that reaction of other fans from the States has been atrocious at best. When you get told to be patient or bear with things, you do not whine for over a month straight, especially when the company as a whole has other things to deal with first. If you've read Nintendo and Pokémon's Facebook pages, you'll see exactly how bad the whining has gotten. What's worse is that it's just as bad here. Almost every other post in this thread is nothing more than spam with people whining about how Pokémon Bank's not out yet in the US. I have to say this because no one else will.

Or maybe it's just that Nintendo releases the app zone by zone while adapting its infrastructure as they go along so that the servers wouldn't crash, and this is just one of those rare cases where Europe happened to get it first.

Well, I don't think the reaction is uncalled for. I mean, we can make excuses for them all we want, but the fact is, if there were other things they had to do besides release things on schedule, they can at least tell when. Most of the complaints I've seen are mostly aimed at the fact that we weren't being told anything. So really, I don't make excuses for them. This was an epic fail on Nintendo's part "other stuff to deal with" or not.

It's just even more unfortunate that the backlash has caused them to further withhold it from the states, even at the expense of us who took no part in said backlash. I guess the lesson here is, don't screw with Nintendo.
