Pokemon: Black Infection [IC]

(Eh I'm thinking Colosseum where I think it actually nullified typing completely if it was a Shadow. But I want there to be some damage taken. XD That is probably the biggest liberty I'll take with this. And did Celes just shout through the Pokeball? XP)

Naren waited, then covered her head, crossing her arms. Bellareleased the attack and leapt off them over Caelara's attack, landing behind her. "Evidently you're deaf. When did I say I knew it all? People assume too much. I know what I know. And I know this: you'll never beat me, not as long as you keep looking down on me or that damn fire mouse. Or you keep looking down on your human!"

THe POkemon whirled around and concentrated, Growing slightly. THen her bud opened up again and she fired an Energy Ball. Thanks to Absorb she had energy to spare. But there was something else. What was Naren waiting for? The girl was looking back at the battle. She glanced at budew and mouthed: trust me. The Budew nodded. It's not like this battle meant anything to her right now. Not checking to see if her attack hit, she began growing again, calling on the energy of the sun the best she could without Sunny Day.

Elisha nodded suddenly. "I get why Bella is being mean now," she mumbled. "Thanks Bella. I won't lose now."" Naren watched her Cyndaquil, whose body was starting to glow white. She put her down. Evolving already? How time flew.

(OOC: Yes... Yes she did. :P)

Caelara changed direction and avoided the attacks. She snarled and continued Spark, running right at Bella again as she stood there taking in sunlight. She vaguely wondered how Celes had shouted at her. Scott must have released her again.

"It's clear from your attitude that you believe you know everything! And I do respect my trainer! That's why I say you think you know everything. You think you know me? You don't. So shut your mouth before I shut it... Permanently!" Caelara said, her voice a deadly, yet adorable sounding, growl.

Bella merely smirked. "Sounds menacing...not. If you can say that, it means you don't know me well either." She dodged easily. "If you respect him so much then why is he standing there gaping? He didn't want you to come out did he? That's respect? More like fear." Bella fired an Energy Ball and two beams of Absorb.

"I am sorry," Naren stated suddenly. She had a vague idea what was going on, especially if that fierce anger was any indication, almost the color of Hyper Mode. "Bella... I can tell..." She was speaking slowly through her accent. "Is provoking your Shinx. I think she's just doing it for fun. Sorry... but..." She managed to look Scott in the eye. "Please tell your Shinx to behave. She has no right to threaten my Pokemon like that, no matter what Bella must have said."

"Yeah," Elisha agreed as hte light around her faded. Her body had changed, growing taller and her eyes opening, showing green irises. The Quilava crouched and let flames burst from her back and head. "Bella's a jerk but she's our jerk! You don't mess with one of my teammates." She was proud of Bella. Despite trashtalking her opponent, she had paid attention to each one of Naren's quiet commands and obeyed them, not aiming for anything more than a playful victory or at least an easier fight for Elisha herself.

Scott nodded. He was completely unaware of what had been going on. But Caelara had been getting progressively angrier as the fight went on. He had thought she might calm down on her own, but apparently this wasn't the case.

"Caelara... Calm down!" Scott said. Caelara leapt to the left, getting hit by one of the Energy Balls, but dodging the rest of the attacks. She looked at Scott. She barely managed to keep herself from hissing at him. She turned back to give Bella a good long look. She hissed quietly at her. Caelara had not been fighting without commands. Scott had been quietly speaking, and her keen ears had picked them up with ease. She walked around, taking deep breathes as she waited for the next command. And when Scott decided she was calm again, he gave it.

"Caelara! Shock Wave!" he said. She blasted the electricity right at Bella, laughing because it was so much stronger from her constant Charges before. Celes looked at Elisha from where she was sitting near Scott's legs.

"I could say the same to you. It's a two way street there Elisha! Don't be acting like Bella is blameless!" Celes said, as she smirked at Elisha. She stood up and shook herself off. Her words had a sting to them, but her tone was friendly. Caelara heard her and felt a little more relaxed. It touched her that Celes was willing to defend her. Of course, the same was true of the reverse.

"Alright you over-grown thing. You still think you can take me?" Caelara said as she prepared another Shock Wave. However, instead of firing, she began glowing.

"What the heck?" she said, startled. Scott looked on in awe. Caelara was evolving! Whoa, two evolutions in one battle! Caelara grew bigger and her fur began to change color. When the light faded, Caelara was a Luxio. The dark blue markings that had covered her coat were still there. Though, they looked a lot cooler against the black fur that covered the front half of her. She looked at Bella.

"Whoa! Caelara, you evolved! Right, let's finish this one! Shock Wave!" Scott cried happily. Didn't matter if he won or not now! Caelara was a Luxio! That was awesome! He was grinning ear to ear as Caelara, who was not angry in the slightest now, merely pleased with her new form, blasted the powerful electric attack at Bella.

Bella shrugged. "I ain't out to win so come and get me ya stupid furball." she used Shadow Rush to charge through the Shock Wave and fired an Absorb mixed with an Energy Ball. It honestly did hurt but she intended to give this little cat some fight.

Elisha seemed entertained. "Uh... that was kinda the point sillyhead. Bella's easy to blame. We've already done that. But at least she didn't threaten to kill your partner. Lie or not, that ain't nice." She paused, sniffing the air. Who were those scents? She let out a squeak of alarm, wheeling around to her left.

Naren looked as well. What the heck were those guys wearing? Those ugly suits... Cipher. Her eyes narrowed. Only they would be that gaudy. They were headed toward the Slowpoke Well. HEr fists clenched and she yelled. "What d'ya think yer doin'? Leave that place alone!" She had been too focused on the battle nd the emotions running everywhere.

One of them turned and scoffed at her. "What's it to you girly? Are we disturbing you and your boytoy over there?"

Naren flushed a bit. Okay, her outfit was not exactly the proper attire for a modest girl. So what? It was comfortable for her. "Yer attacking a landmark of my town," she spat, actualy upset. "Get outta here!"

"Try and stop me! Get her Croconaw!" The crocodile charged her and tried to knock her over, biting her arm. Elisha knocked it back, growling.

"Try that again you stinking lizard," the Quilava spat. "I dare you." Bella turned a second. What had just- oh you did not just do that.

She turned away. "Fine you win. Happy now furball?" She waddled off quickly, aiming to help out.

"No, it wasn't. You just confused me. Anyways, do you smell that!? Cipher!" Celes said as she recognised the smell of their uniforms. She cried out to Caelara, who ignored her. Caelara had lost all interest in the battle when she smelled those people. She was charging past Naren and Elizabeth, growling madly as she saw the events that occured. Celes joined her and Elisha in front of them as Scott walked over. Though, it looked more like a cocky strut than anything else.

"So, you Cipher peons still want to play? Hah! Good luck! And attack her like that again and see what happens!" Scott said, his tone mocking. But inside he burned with anger. You did not just attack his friends and get away with it! He stepped in front of the two girls and stood beside his pokemon. Caelara hissed at the peons. She had grown to like these people, despite the things Bella said. Bella was pretty tough. She respected that.

(OOC: Maybe we should wait for Yellow now. A battle between us two that Elizabeth can only spectate is one thing. A bunch of Cipher goons attacking her and the others is something totally different.)

(Yep already figured that.)

Naren felt a twitch of fury. The peon smirked and sent her Croconaw at her again with ICe Fang, aiming to where she was on the right. Naren ran right past it and tackled the grunt. "Get out," she hissed, a rare surge of actual anger running through her veins. She made a mental not to not feel this emotion too often. It made her feel sick. Elisha had caught the creature with a Wild Charge. Meanwhile there was a cry of laughter. More peons were appearing, each controlling several Pokemon, Slowpoke included.

The peon kicked her off, snorting. "Violent as well as poorly dressed. Are you sure you're from Azalea? You look more like you belong in the Goldenrod slums."

That should hav3e been the last straw. Unfortunately, Naren was not so easily distracted. "I ain't m' mum! Keep yer comments t' yerself." THe woman was keeping something in her bag. She was definitely going to get it.

(Writer's ... block... urgh!)

Elizabeth just sort of watched the cipher peon attacking Naren with this look of /horror/ on her face. She just sort of froze up. What did she do? She wanted to stop. She didn't want Naren to get hurt, yet she didn't know how to stop it.

Elizabeth: "M-Meowth..."

Meowth was watching the battle. Ugh! Humans, fighting? Why did they even have pokemon if they couldn't settle their disputes with a friendly match of sport? What was the point of going at eachother like that? Suddenly, he heard his trainer call his name. She sounded pretty upset. He looked up and caught her staring at the scene. Yeah, he got it. She wanted him to help. He saw that the peon had tried to attack her with a Croconaw, and promptly came at said Croconaw, putting himself between the Croconaw and Naren. He then stood up on his feet and displayed his claws.

Meowth: "Looks like it's you and me, bub!"

Meanwhile, Cubone noticed what was going on as well, and just sort of walked on over towards the fighting going on. She didn't seem to be in a rush, however.

(OOC: This post made me hungry. T_T)

What would be good?
Joshua was deep in thought, trying to come up with something to make. It wasn't every day he brought a girl home, despite being able to if he really wanted. "So, why are you in Ecruteak, Jess?"

"I was here for the gym, but I wanted to take a look inside the tower first." Josh brought them into his house and hung his bag up on a coat hanger, then took off his sandals; a pair of geta made of Rhyhorn horns that clapped against the ground. The sound of them hitting the wooden floor finally got Jess to notice them while she set her shoes in the doorway. They must have been pretty heavy, but Josh walked like they were nothing.

"Go ahead and make yourself at home in the den. I'll start cooking," he said as he made his way to the kitchen. Clades and Jess thanked him and took a look around to find the living room. It wasn't a big house, yet it was by no means small. It could hold a three- or four-person family.

"Joshua, do you have any parents?" The question struck a sour note, but he didn't want to look annoyed; he didn't want to tell too much, either, so he just... bent the truth a bit.

"Uh, yeah. They left about a year ago. They're scientists... always getting caught up in their research, you know?" Josh thought of baking something sweet for his guest, so he went into making chocolate chip muffins and raspberry pancakes. Maybe I should just make a bunch of stuff and see if she likes anything.

Scientists? What would they have been researching?

Probably on Shadow Pokémon, Clades answered, since there isn't much left besides that to look into now. By now, the guy in the kitchen finished the pancakes and had the oven ready for the muffins, so he went into cooking up something else. The two in the den (though mostly Jess) transitioned from thinking about Shadow Pokémon research to thinking about what Josh was making.

Josh started thinking to himself more intensely. Would scrambled eggs do well? It's worth a shot. He slipped a pan from the cupboard and a few eggs from the fridge and got to work. Should I try a variety? With that and a fresh batch of chocolate chip muffins, he began on banana nut muffins and different preparations to the eggs. He got into fixing up some waffles, too, with juicy blueberries stuffed inside. Then some hot cinnamon-apple rolls with icing dripping down the side; his own favorite.

After the first batch of muffins were completed, Jess and Clades were able to smell everything from down the hallway. God, Jess wanted to at least take a peek at what the enticing chocolatey scent was coming from, but she restrained herself (almost asking Clades to hold her down) to keep from coming off as rude.

It even amazed Joshua at the fact that it's only been a short time and he's somehow made pancakes, waffles, cinnamon rolls, two full batches of different muffins, and so many different types of egg dishes that the Iron Chef would hang his toke in shame. Next was a dessert, and he went for the same thought: Let's make a bunch of things and hope she likes something.

By now, despite all the good food in wait, Stryke was getting pissed. What was Joshua thinking? It's really not like him to be so nice, especially towards a random chick that bumped into his sorry can. The Scyther had half a mind to pop out of his Pokéball and knock his trainer to the kitchen floor, but no. He just sat in his Pokéball knowing that Josh could tell when he was annoyed. Yet... his trainer was too engrossed in making a "Death by Chocolate" cake, vanilla cupcakes and a classic apple pie. Not a single thought of how they were going to eat all of this crossed his mind, either. (Note: "Death by Chocolate" cake doesn't really cause death. Diabetes in large quantities, but not death.)

Meanwhile, Jessica's dying in the living room. Cause of death: Sensory overload; mostly the smell of sweets.

Scott turned away, knowing that Naren and Elizabeth could handle the peon. But there were more of them.

"Heh, you think you can take me on? Celes! Caelara, get yer tails over here and give me a han'!" Scott said as one of the grunts sent out a Nuzleaf and an Ekans.

"Don't mess with Cipher kid! It'll get you hurt! Ekans! Use Bite on that pathetic Luxio! Nuzleaf, use Brick Break on the Eevee!" the peon said. Scott grinned knowingly, something that drove most people mad. Celes leapt out of the wayt, having seen the attack coming with Detect. Caelara simply stood firm and blasted the Ekans with Shock Wave. The poor thing was stopped in his tracks

"My turn! Celes, use Tackle! Caelara, go with Spark!" Scott said. He knew his two pokemon were already in rough shape. He also knew they would tough it out for him. Celes charged at the Nuzleaf, slamming into him, knocking them both to the ground. She was on her feet a moment later, hissing at the Nuzleaf. Caelara, using the energy leftover from her Charging before hand, rammed into the Ekans, blasting it half to death and making it faint. The grunt returned Ekans and sent out his next pokemon, an Aerodactyl. If Scott had remembered to turn on his scouter, he would have known that this was a shadow pokemon. As it was, he could see that the thing was covered in dark markings, much like Caelara was. The Luxio hissed madly at it.

(OOC: I wonder if any of you remember what happens to a Shadow Pokemon when it gets defeated in battle in Gale Of Darkness. XD)

However, Scott may have been unable to be sure but Naren definitely was. She could see the aura, violet and enraged. It was darker than Bella's, not having been exposed to Celebi's power. She let out a hiss as the peon's fist slammed into her nose. However, despite the blood, Naren kept one hand firmly attached to the woman's uniform. Elisha and Bella were behind her, blasting attacks into another peon's Pokemon.

"Grab her!" the woman shrieked. "Before she gets the egg! Grab her!"

Before they could obey, Naren had rolled away. That bag on the woman's back... had a baby in it. Not again. Enough with the wild babies already!

"Pidgeotto! Kill the brat!" The Pidgeotto flew at her and she barely ducked aside, letting Elisha knock it to the ground. She moved one last time, reflecting that she was a terrible thief. However, this time Naren got the bag, breaking the straps.

"Get her!" the woman howled, angry that the mission could possibly fail. Bella jumped in, Hyper Mode awake. She was ticked.

"Try it," she seemed to snap.

Caelara hissed madly at the Shadow Aerodactyl. She hated the thing already. She regarded Caelara with one irritated flap of the wings. Celes had pinned the Nuleaf down and was shoving him into the dirt. She slammed her paws on his chest again and walked back over to Caelara with a satisfied look on her face. She regarded the Aerodactyl with awe. That thing looked fierce.

"Aerodactyl! Shadow Panic!" the peon said, unconcerned that his Nuzleaf had fainted. The Aerodactyl fanned her wings and Celes and Caelara began looking about nervously at the dark energy that flew into them. Scott snarled as Celes tripped over her own feet and Caelara began growling at the air around her.

"Celes! Caelara! Snap out of it! Celes, use Shadow Ball! Caelara, Shock Wave!" Scott said uregently. Caelara looked around, wondering who was calling her. She spotted Aerodactyl and charging her attack, but she overcharged it and blasted herself. Celes, however, was a bit better off. She fired a Shadow Ball and it slammed into the dinosaur. Scott looked at his two confused cats. Aerodactyl flew right at them with Shadow Blitz. Celes leapt out of the way, but Caelara didn't move in time. She was slammed into the ground and knocked out.

"Caelara! Grr... Return! Cobalt! Let's take this fool out!" Scott said. His hand twinged in pain when he saw the Poochyena come out. The pup looked frightened, but one glance at Celes changed that. Abruptly, his personality shifted. He began barking and growling fiercely at Aerodactyl, who ignored him.

Meanwhile Meowth stared down a croconaw. Only that lasted about two seconds before the croconaw shot a torrent of water at Meowth. Meowth was blown back by the hit, yet it was far from enough to bring him all the way down. A soaked Meowth sprang back at Croconaw, emitting a strange wave from the large coin on his forehead. It was hypnosis. Croconaw's eyes grew wide and then narrowed as it began to fall asleep. Croconaw proceeded to collapse onto the ground, asleep.

Meowth: "Take that, y' lousy goon!"

Meowth hesitated a moment before brandishing his claws and gaining a rather devious look on his face. He didn't think Elizabeth would mind if he... 'searched' these guys.

Meowth: "...Now let's see what you've got on ya'!"

Meowth proceeded to use thief on the croconaw, not hesitating to claw at it as he did so. He found a berry clutched in the croconaw's hand and took it. He seemed a bit disappointed though. This wasn't exactly what he had had in mind. He supposed if he wanted to steal something of /value/ he'd have to go for the trainers. Regardless, he still had a fight to win. Meowth got down and bit the sleeping croconaw. Sometimes he himself found it hilarious that a pokemon could sleep through this sort of abuse. Yet, after a second bite Croconaw woke up, though he was pretty weak. Croconaw promptly bit Meowth back, which hurt a whole lot. Yet, after a moment Meowth heard a loud crack, followed by Croconaw releasing him and slumping over, fainted. Sure enough, there was Cubone. She had basically just walked up behind Croconaw and whacked it over the head with her bone club. Meowth just sort of looked up at her and raised an eyebrow as he brushed himself off. Meanwhile Elizabeth was kind of, y'know, pretty scared what with all these bad dudes around.

Meowth: "..."

Cubone: "..."

Just like that, they were finished and diverted their attention elsewhere, namely to one of the remaining peons. Meowth promptly wandered off, looking to snatch some loot from one of the peons, hopefully without being noticed. Meanwhile Cubone just sort of slowly approached one of the remaining peons.

Naren scrambled up, nose bleeding. SHe didn't notice too much, glancing at Elizabeth worriedly. She clutched the bag protectively from the grunt, who was snarling at her under the white visor. She retreated abruptly, giving Naren time to step back. That only lasted a second as Bella went charging after the woman, firing Energy Balls like crazy. Her aura was a mixture of blood red and violet. Naren had no blue what that was, except it was bad news. She had to stop her Budew now. Returning her was the wrong thing to do however.

"Bella!" she shouted. "Come 'ere! 's over a'ight! C'mere!" Bella paused to glare at Naren. What was she, nuts? That woman was getting away! Huh? What was with Naren's eyes? She looked upset with her. THat meant... stop. Bella had no choice. The state she was in now, it would be most beneficial to go back. So she did, waddling toward her human, who bent to pick her up. Naren held her in one arm, relieved to see the odd aura had gone awayl. She would have to ask Scott what it was, if he knew.

The peons were starting to shy away a little but were still fighting, hence Elisha still blasting people with fire. Naren glanced at Elizabeth. "Sorry... ya got caught in m' mess," she said softly. "'S gonna be okay..."

Scott snarled at the Peon. He hated the man. Hated his mocking stance. Hated everything he stood for.

"Celes, use Shadow Ball. Cobalt, Bite!" Scott said savagely. Celes, who was still confused, tripped over her own feet, causing the Shadow Ball to explode on her. Cobalt leapt up and sunk his fangs into the Aerodactyl's tail. The thing screeched angrily and Cobalt let go, dropping to the ground.

"Shadow Twister..." the grunt said. Wait, what? That move was very powerful! Scott had read the books his father had published, explaining all about shadow pokemon. Aerodactyl flapped it's wings and a powerful dark vortex formed arounf Celes and Cobalt. They both yelped in pain and were flung in different directions. Cobalt got valiently to his feet. Celes hit the ground with a cry and didn't move. Scott picked her up, saw she had been knocked out, and threw out Cadas's pokeball. This was not going well.

"Shadow Blitz!" the peon said. The aerodactyl flew at Cobalt, looking to finish him off. Scott closed his eyes and awaited the yelp... That never came. He heard a savage growl and a shriek of annoyance and opened his eyes again. Cadas had dashed in front of Cobalt and was using Iron Head to hold the shadow pokemon back. This also had the effect of damaging the aerodactyl, as Iron Head was super effective against a rock type. Scott smiled as Cadas shoved the aerodactyl back and watched it fly over them.

"Cadas! Iron Head! Cobalt! Bite!" Scott said happily.

"Shadow Twister!" the peon yelled desperately. Aerodactyl never got a chance. Cobalt leapt up and latched his fangs into one wing, while Cadas slammed his head into the other wing. The big dino was brought down. One final Iron Head finished it off.

"Gible! Gib!" Cadas shouted proudly as he stood triumphantly on the dinosaur's back. Cobalt dashed behind Scott. He was scared now that the fighting was over. The peon backed away slowly, then turned and ran. Scott heard a cry and saw the aerodactyl flying a different direction from them all. He turned and picked up Cadas, wondering how the girls were doing. He wished he had had a snag machine. Then he could have got that aerodactyl and purified it. Oh well. Can't win them all, he supposed.

Elizabeth happened to be looking when Naren looked towards her and noticed that Naren's nose was bleeding. This didn't exactly help her relax. All the attacks flying, Cipher peons threatening them, people getting hurt. It was overwhelming her senses and she just sort of gawked a bit. Where was Meowth? She had thought he would be with Naren, but... Elizabeth looked around a bit before spotting Meowth pick-pocketing a cipher peon who was busy battling Cubone. Normally she would've said something, but these guys were all wearing the same uniform. To Elizabeth this meant they were all the same. The same person who had hurt Naren and the same who were threatening and fighting them.

She turned her attention back to Naren, watching her calm the enraged Bella down. She didn't completely understand any significance in what had just happened, but it didn't really concern her either. After a few moments Naren turned to her and... apologized. Elizabeth wasn't quite sure why, and she really didn't know what to say either. None of this was Naren's fault, right? At least, she didn't think it was. To be fair, she was completely biased against blaming Naren for things. Naren then proceeded to try and comfort her with assurance that everything would be okay. Elizabeth supposed she trusted Naren not to lie about something like that, though at the moment she just really wanted these cipher creeps to /go away/!

Meanwhile, Cubone was fighting a voltorb sent out by the peon Meowth had just robbed. Voltorb was stalling by keeping out of reach. The peon was frustrated, partially because he had just discovered Meowth holding his money and partially because Voltorb was essentially wasting time. He promptly ordered Voltorb to fight back before trying to snatch his stuff back from Meowth with no success. In fact, he simply received a scratch to his hand in response. Meanwhile, Voltorb turned to charge at Cubone. It was rather frightened by the prospect of that bone club, which Cubone promptly raised over her head in preparation to strike. She was surprised to find the voltorb abruptly glowing white however. Thus, as the voltorb got within range she hesitated to strike, torn between smacking it and fleeing. The voltorb exploded, knocking it's trainer over at least a dozen meters away and sending Cubone flying through the air. Cubone hit the ground and skidded to a stop nearby, letting out a pained cry. One could feel the power of the explosion even from where they stood, though it obviously wasn't as powerful as if one had actually been in it. Even Meowth was knocked over by the blast, though afterwards he promptly got back up and ran back to Elizabeth with his stolen goods. Elizabeth held up her arms in an attempt to shield her face from the explosion, though she definitely felt the blast of kinetic force it released despite that. It knocked the breath out of her, given she was frail, but she managed to stay on her feet.

Naren blinked at Elizabeth in confusion. Did she see something bordering on worship around that girl? Really? That was kind of scary. Who was going to admire her? Ah well... crap. The explosion shook the air and Naren winced through her teeth. Elisha squealed and rolled over to Naren. She was so confused. That had been a weird attack. Naren patted her absently and shifted Bella in her arms.

Meanwhile the peons were fleeing, shouting obscentities and spitting angrily. Bella thought they were pathetic. Elisha would have agreed if she constantly thought that way. "Don' come back," Naren mumbled, looking in the bag she had grabbed. Inside was something she knew all too well. An egg? Bella looked annoyed as she pulled it out. The Budew was tired, drooping on Naren's shoulder. Elisha, despite injuries, was not. She squealed curiously. Hadshe come from one of those? It was so small! And it was very quiet. Maybe the baby inside was scared.

Scott

"Yeah! Right back atcha, creep! Don't ever try and fight me again! I'll just beatcha worse the next time!" Scott shouted at the peons as they ran away. Scott shook his head and looked at Cobalt and Cadas. Cobalt was now sniffing the Gible curiously, who was clinging to Scott's leg with a look that was a mixture of apprehension and amusement. Scott shook his head at the pair of them and turned his attention to the Eevee in his arms. She was in bad shape. She needed to get to a pokemon center. Scott then turned to Naren and Elizabeth.

"Heh, we sure showed them! I bet they won't be coming back for a while! Heheheh... Hm... Anyways, I need to get Celes and Caelara to a pokemon center and heal them up before I try and take on the gym... So... I guess I'll be going... Nice meeting you two!" Scott said with a smile. He didn't really want to leave yet, but he was on a mission. And this ad proven that he had a long way to go. The fact that his four pokemon had been so easily beaten up by that Aerodactyl was proof enough. That, and Cipher had to have a base around here somewhere. Those grunts had to have come from somewhere. And he was going to take it out. As soon as he could find it. He flipped his Shadow Scouter back on, ignoring it when it went off in response to Bella, and turned back to his pokemon.

"Let's go!" Scott said with a smile.

"Gib!" Cadas cried, climbing up to his shoulder. Cobalt growled an agreeing sound of his own, and Scott began to walk toward the town, and his next gym battle.

???

Quickpaw looked up at the building in front of her. The Purrloin blinked slowly and tried to focus. She found it hard, what with the human boy next to her scratching his scalp insistantly. Bah! If he had fleas again, she was going to be so mad! She hated having to go steal Flea Shampoo from those other witless humans. And she hated how the stuff smelled. She glanced again at the boy. He was about twelve human years old. His hair was long and dark brown, falling in a tangled mane around his head. His shirt was a simple teal colored T shirt. Matched by a pair of teal glasses on his head. Behind those glasses were a pair of teal eyes. They had a feral and wild look to them. It was no wonder he called himself Teal. His face was lean, and almost always cheerful. He looked very dirty, and unwashed. Almost as if he had been living out in thee wild for the past ten years, which of course, he had. But that wasn't the oddest part of his appearence. He was wearing a pair of oddly flexible brown pants. Normally, this would not be so odd, however these pants had a very long tail sticking out the back of them. Teal himself had no tail, but he had been raised in these pants so long, that if he changed into a different pair without a tail, he would likely fall over. And the gloves. He was wearing a pair of black gloves. These gloves were special. They had claws sticking out of them. These claws were about an inch and a half long, and were made of razor sharp metal. Teal himself was sitting in a position similar to Quickpaw herself. He abruptly pointed at something. Quickpaw followed his gaze.

"Ahh... I see it. A window. Almost as though they expect us! Come on Teal! We'll get Bandit back. Don't you worry about that!" Quickpaw said. Meowed would be a more appropriate term.

"Yes! We had better... If they hurt him... I don't know what I'll do!" Teal meowed back. Quickpaw shook her head, amused by this.

"You'll rob them of their shiny things and claw their faces off!" she replied as she walked toward the building. She began to climb up the side of it at an astonshing pace.

"I was gonna do that anyways!" Teal said with a huff. Nevertheless, he followed her and began to scale the wall just as quickly.

Elizabeth coughed a bit as she was regaining her stolen breath, looking over at Scott. She then raised her arm and waved, making the effort to speak. It came out stuttered, but hey.

"S-See you later..!"

Elizabeth watched him as he walked away for a moment before turning her attention to Naren. Concern seemed to take over her face, overpowering any curiosity she might've had about the egg. An egg was nice and all, but she really wanted Naren to be alright. She proceeded to speak in a semi-quiet tone.

"Will you be alright...?"

Abruptly, she felt a poke at her leg and looked down to see Meowth. He promptly held up a single potion and a pawful of pokedollars. Elizabeth's eyes widened somewhat. The peon had had quite a little handful of money on him. Had she still been living off the street, it would've been enough for several days worth of food at the least. She gingerly took the potion and the money and looked back up at Naren, holding them in her hands. Meowth seemed proud of himself. Meanwhile, Cubone just sort of pushed herself up and let out a sigh of relief as she managed to do so, looking rather beat up.

"Bye then," Naren called weakly as she carefully tried to stop the bleeding. From the feel, it wasn't broken though, luckily. She returned Bella, who almost looked grateful. Naren turned back to the worried Elizabeth, seeing her clutching Meowth's thievings. "I'm all right," she said steadily, voice muffled by the injury. "It's just a bit bruised. 'Ve had worse." Elisha squealed her agreement, watching as Naren held the egg in her arms, the other bag on her right shoulder.

"We won," Elisha said happily. "Now what?"

Naren rubbed the egg affectionately and looked at Elizabeth. "So... you wanna heal up?" she asked, referring to the girl's Pokemon.
