Have fun. Remember those little Pokeball things that they had at McDonalds for the first or second movie premiere? Or Burger King? I forget.

Lets just say my parents hated me for a good month. The lines were out the door.

Uh, I'll probably get one when I randomly go to a McDonalds when I'm out by myself. My dad would just make fun of me if I ordered one in front of him.
 
I'm going to try to get the toys by themselves since mcdonald's is not the healthiest place to eat. The last time I tried getting just the toy though, I think it was the beanie babies or something else I really don't remember, they wouldn't let anyone just buy the toy. I'm hoping we can just get the toys, if not I'll just take my family and we can all get happy meals. The toys actually look really great this time around. I wasn't thrilled about the last ones and didn't get any of them either.

I work at a Mcdonalds and when i saw them i was like WTF really so i decided to ask my manager. All she could say was "Yeah....and whats a pokemon?" Seeing that these toys are coming to happy meals excited me a little bit on the inside :D.

Now I can steal ever single last toy for my collection
 
Oh Happy Meals? I thought you meant Pokemon events in McDonalds.... But hopefully they come also outside of Japan.
 
I probably wouldn't go to McDonalds to go buy them, at any rate. It's cool to have promotional stuff for little kids but I'm not that much of a fan to go buy little kid meals for the toys that I'll probably end up breaking somehow and/or accidentally throw away. Plus I'm not usually a guy who buys stuff anyway (the games are about as much you get out of me) sooo yes, I don't think I'm going to go to McDonalds any time soon - at least not to get any Pokémon toys. :(
 
It looks like they've got the toys up on eBay now - they may be out in some places. I'll probably go check today.

For those of you in Montreal/Quebec, the polybags have both the English and French names on them, which probably means that the Quebec versions come with French cards. Thankfully the cards aren't anything noteworthy, so it isn't like they're trolling us with "OHAI GUISE YOU LIVE IN MONTREAL SO ENJOY YOUR "ROITIFLAM" (Emboar) THAT'S LESS VALUABLE AND ISN'T IN THE SAME LANGUAGE AS YOUR OTHER CARDS WHILE YOUR NEIGHBORS IN TORONTO GET THE REAL DEAL"

(On a related note, "Roitiflam" sounds more like a German name, and is actually similar to Emboar's actual German name "Flambirex")
 
I saw the commercial and I really want to go buy a happy meal, well two of them. One with Reshiram and the other for Zekrom. That saves money (well sort of) in my pocket because I need those action figures and going to the Nintendo World Store and paying $10.88 isn't a good idea

Uhhh....you dont TECHNICALLY have to buy a happy meal if you want the toy. You can always just buy the toys buy themselves :P. As far as I know, McD carrs collectors boxes for those who want to collect all the toys.

I explored the other day and the toys should cost $1.60 each, for reference if you want to buy the toys by themselves. But McDonald's doesn't stock every toy every day...they pretty much just open the boxes and pour them into the bins and give out whatever's on the top. The two I went to only had Reshiram and Pikachu that day. So if you're looking for them, prepare to go back every few days.
 
My sister in Toronto just picked up a Zekrom for me (which also means a card that's guaranteed not in French). Coolness :D

I wonder if they'd have a similar promotion for RSE remakes. Guessing that they'd have Pikachu (again), Groudon, Treecko, Kyogre, Torchic, Rayquaza, Mudkip, and probably Deoxys.

I just went today and bought Pikachu and Reshiram. These were the only two they had. It's funny because the cashier asked me if the toy I wanted was for a boy or a girl. I was like... "whatever I want both". Since when is Pikachu more feminine than Reshiram or vice-versa? XD So weird haha!

For those Quebecers, yes, the cards are in French with the French names. It sucks! I even sent a commentary to Nintendo Canada, but I received an Internal Server Error ¬_¬...

I'm surprised Zekrom is available! I thought 2 were released each week.

What they mean is that, Pokemon is only given in Happy Meals for boys. Barbies are in the Happy Meals for girls right now. Most McDonald's employees don't know what Pokemon is which and stuff like that, all they know is "boys' toys come from this bin, girls' toys come from that bin".

Oh my, that's sad.

That employee didn't seem to know what a Pokemon was indeed, even though she was about my age. I had to tell her twice I wanted Pokemon toys. Do you know if all Pokemon are available right now?

Technically, yes. But they just get giant boxes of toys and they empty then into the bin, so they usually don't have more than one or two of the toys at a time. So if you're looking for all of them, you should be prepared to either go to multiple places or go to the same place once every couple days. We went three days ago and my sister got Reshiram, and today she got Oshawott because they just came in today.

Oshawott is extra cute, by the way.

Though she wont ask about the different toys, and says its one toy per week, im like <.<
So with that it might be possible for me and my 2 brothers to all have the same toy :/

Oh well. I love the whole boy/girl thing. they think pokemon is for boys, while I hear pokemon is for girls (and 'babys' w.e McDonalds shall get took over from 15+20+ pokemon fans :D
