This looks pretty good so far, you should probably stick with Gold though as there has been more people working on it, you could end up messing up your ROM due to offsets being different in Crystal.

I really don't think that would be a problem. I work almost exclusively in Crystal, and finding offsets between games is extremely simple with a hex editor.

Does anyone think it might be a good idea to add the Orange Islands as well? I mean, it could work out that I can replace every single beta map into a whole region. I would add only six or seven of the islands but it could be a bit of an extra challenge at the end. What do you think?

Well, dont know if this can be sucessful or not, I think some people loved Crystal already and I dont know if they will like it when someone says that it wasnt "good enough". In my case I liked Gold more, but Crystal was pretty cool, with the Battle Tower, Eusine and that. We'll wait to see how you plan to make a better Crystal version, it always sounds challenging to improve something a whole company with thousands of people already made >.<

I suppose in your features there'll be the ability to get all the Kanto and Johto Pokemon, right?

And what about the difficulty? This could be a good chance to change the teams of the trainers/leaders, to make it a bit harder, dont you think?

Yeah, there will be harder Gym Battles, Trainers getting harder earlier in the game, and plenty of extra opportunities to do things.
