IMO, you need less graphical focus. If you script and map at the same time, making the hack will be fun. But if you leave scripting until the end, then you probably won't have that much motivation to script.

Oh, and good luck inserting 100 sprites. :3

i have not even tried inserting one at all before..lol..

What I meant was that the background hasn't gotten that much colour. It seems pretty gray to me.
And I dunno if you can fix it, 'cus I don't know what the pallette colours and all that is.

Guys i still have not finish the script because i want to post the scripts along with the new o/w which is being done atm, so i will post both of them at the same same time.
But i still did other things like changing the tiles since i thought maybe i could use different tiles since more and more hack are using the same kind of tiles..

The water in the old one seems too dark, and the water in the new one seems too light.
You should try and make the water in the new one a little darker.
But the grass in the new one seems ok :)

Meh, I'm no fan of the new trees but the old tiles are becoming ridiculously commonplace. I'd say old tree + new palettes. Especially the water palette which looks awesome!

after i finish touching up the map, i will be able to start scripting just the first small event just before you get your Journey started..

Anyway guys i will be abit busy with other stuff around this week for my schoolwork, still will work on this bit by bit this week,
like for the scripting..

Anyway i am really now in need of a spriter as my spriter just quit because he is too busy with his life which i understand so i don't blame him but now i really need a spriter to sprite trainers sprites along with their o/w..

i didn't notice you post here, anyway Olli, there is no need to say that here on my thread.
I don't mind my thread being inactive since i have not myself been active on it..

Anyway finally after a while i manage to get back to hacking after a week of busy project work for my school. It was damn tiring that i don't have the interest to open xse to script or map..haha,
BUt it was saturday and i feel energetic so i fugured i resume hacking.
I decide to change the house tiles since i kind-off think it look great this way..lol..

anyway, just to say this first, i don't mind my thread looks dead since i don't post updates in return no one interested because for me hacking is like something i do during my free time or if i feel like it not something i put at my top priority, it is actually not even the 6th in my list..lol, i put my life first so yeah that is why..haha

I really don't know why i am not receiving comments from my previous updates. You could at least tell me what you don't like about my hack
rather then just ignoring it and me don't know how my hack is
to the public eyes..

Anyway i have some free time and decide to script the give pokemon part.
Still not complete yet but meh, i will still show update..

There that is all i have for now.
As you can see my hack will be included mostly by Fakémons but there will still be Pokémon from the original games like for example Giratina.
I feel it would be great to add Fakémon's to my hack for my Lycidia region

The fakémons credit to:
Light-Ho-OH from DA for giving me permission to use them.
and also
tnguye3 for respriting them to 64x64 for me to use. He is great, have not sprite all of them but in future there will be more.
I don't think the alpha going to contain most Fakémons.
I hope you guys could at least comment on this..lol

About the lack of comments:
In my opinion the reason you're not getting too many comments if because for the most part your screenshots have only been maps and while they're nice they're not enough to carry the game alone. People want to see some events, not just small/generic events like the "Get first pokemon" event that happens in pretty much every hack but unique scripts that are pertinent to the storyline of the hack.

About the updates:

The fakemon aren't really that great. The only one that truly looks like a Pokemon is the water starter and even that's a stretch. The grass starter needs to have a little more going on with it's design as right now it's unbearably plain. The red on the fire starts is too dark and throws off the color balance [it clashes with the orange] and the water starter looks fine, if a litte too big. There's a tile error in the labe [the thingy with the lights]. About the first update with the lightning storm, the colors hurt my eyes as they are extremely bright. I don't know why there's a thunderstorm going on indoors but the tiles hurt to look at.

Conclusion:
Don't get discouraged by the amount of comments in the thread just build on what you have. Remember: more events less maps. You've already proved that you're a great mapper, now it's time to prove that you're also a great scripter.

Thanks for the crit! I also realised that all the starter sprites are still kinda big even though they're in the 64x64 range and are as big as 1st stage evolutions, so I gotta work on that.

haha, that is what you always comment about my hack..haha, yeah you know my grammar not that good, and of course i will have you fix the grammar, that is what i have always done before releasing the alpha apart from beta/alpha Tester..

Haha, thanks for the long comment, No one comment about the map, only 1-2 if i am not wrong..and thanks saying i am a great mapper, it make me feel great..haha

and you are right, haha, people want's to see awesome event, which i hope i can come up with in time..lol
Most probably the first event will occur during your first encounter on the journey to the first gym. I have not starter scripting that part yet though so yeah it will be done soon. Then i will think whether if i want to release the alpha/demo to that part to you know see what people think of the current progress.

For the fakemon's part, yeah like you said i post them here for feedback like from you guys then my spriter will read them and will fix them somehow..
He is an awesome spriter you know, but it was not his forte in spriting 64x64 yet..lol

For the storm or something, it is not always like that as you know, i just took that time of screenshots just for the fun of it..haha,
and it is maybe indoor or not, lol, it can be anything so the thunderstorm in an indoor is not really impossible..haha

You guys wait for the new Fakemon's to be sprite soon by my spriter since he have exam, he won't do much but yeah i will help him as much as i can..
And not to like making him alone work i will also work on some of the scripts as well..

And also give me ideas for short and simple side-quest for the demo apart from getting the other starters which i have already planned for the next part where it also involves: Cyan or Gray or Black in the plotline so just wait long long for that..haha..

So yeah i am still working on this but slowly because of school and also another problem coming up like my internet going to be cut off by the end of june so i will not be able to post much only sentence through my phone, i think my phone can post ips also..haha

Hey Pokecommunity,
Sorry i have been inactive lately just because due to my school life taking almost all my time the whole week hence i can't do much on hacking.

But now i manage to do abit of work so i am going to post the update now..
I manage to make a few scripts of the first event + The map for the 3rd town for the demo and also the first gym..

The first event where you will first encounter the Evil organisation.
Just want to say, the o/w will change as soon as i get a spriter to work on them..xD

The 3rd town, no scripts yet though just showing the maps.
You must have notice what the gym type is by the look of the gym building..haha.
This is the last town where the demo will be on...

This is how it look's inside the gym, it is a you know what type of gym hence why the gym look's this way, so have fun figuring out your way in the gym..haha..
I did not make the tiles except for the walls and side tiles..xD

I hope i can get feedback on this updates,haha..
and also before i forget, i welcome a new member or the co-owner of this hack,
He is Olli97.
He have help me a lot and i know i could use some help from him since my internet going to be cut off by the end of june..lol..

Those gym palettes are to bright, just my opinion. Everything else is nicely done, good job ^-^

I'm speechless...
Those tiles and are some of the best I've seen in a long time, and also the gym tiles are pretty original (at least I haven't seen them anywhere.)
May I take a guess that the first gym is either a grass or poison type.
