Pokemon Discussion (Current Subject: Aerodactyl)

I've been looking at it, and this is what I came up with:

Lucario@Focus Sash/Leftovers
Lonely~252 Attack/252 Special Attack/6 HP
Agility
Aura Sphere/HP Electric/HP Fire/Dragon Pulse/HP Ice/Vacuum Wave
Close Combat
Crunch

After 1 Agility Lucario achieves 432 Speed without a beneficial nature and no EV investment. You can run Close Combat to make Light work of Blissey, Crunch takes care of what Close Combat doesn't hit, then you choose your last move.
Aura Sphere for extra STAB, HP Electric can hit Skarmory and Bulkydos, but Foretress can probably live a couple of those, HP Fire is for Foretress and Skarmory, but BulkyDos gives you trouble, DragonPulse is for Dragons, obviously, or you can go for HP Ice and have cover over dragons + Grass types. Vacuum wave is for outrunning Aerodactyl.

I agree with that a lot.

Honestly I can't believe I used to recommend it. It only makes walling you all the more easier.

SpecsLuke was my favorite but Dark_Azelf will kill me for that so I didn't say anything...

I gave the set for Specs luke aswell in my previous post, i like all sets for Lucario as they are beastly therefore i wouldnt be annoyed lol

Focus Sash is merely a safety net. I don't WANT to activate it, but if it has to it'll spare me the loss should Lucario get killed OHKO. The extra HP EVs are just to increase survivability; I could have easily put them into Defense or Special Defense.

Also, Focus Sash wouldn't even be there if it wasn't a BP Receiver. I did mention it could be alternatively a Choice Specs/Scarf Lucario.

Don't waste time with that "safety net". Either go all out, or stop wasting time. HP EV's are a waste of time, as Focus Sash are for pokes who need it. Like me giving Sash to Torterra, to help him survive Ice Beam.

Giving HP EV's to a Focus Sash user it like taking the last flu vaccine from a person who really needs it. Sure your safe from a virus you MAY get, but it doesn't help those who needs it.

I'm pretty sure this thread is used to post the spreads that have most benefited oneself. This has benefited me. I don't care about your conventional uses for a Focus Sash or how much Torterra needs one.

Without the Focus Sash, the Lucario I have used to sweep countless teams was decimated by incoming Flamethowers, Earthquakes, and Close Combats (considering Ambipom, it's BPer is weak against Close Combat, it was a common one).

I tried Leftovers, and I'm not a personal fan of Choice items. So this set has given me the most success and it is this set I share with the PokeCommunity.

As said, reread what I have posted, & stop taking it personally. This is about discussing all viable options, so if someone were to look here, they'ed know his options.
 
Actually Sash kinda sucks on Torterra since it has no business staying in on Ice Attackers and Yache Berry will be a much bigger help with those IMO.

Also focus sash IS a bad item and SR ruins it 100% of the time and hail and spikes will also drown Lucario. Safety nets are wastes in most cases anyways.

Will you two read my post? I said using Focus Sash on Torterra is just as bad as giving HP EV's to a Focus Sash user. Since Torterra is defensive, Focus Sash is a waste, just as giving "survivability" to a Sash user makes no sense.

Also Luke is a beast with CM if played correctly T_T

I put it like that to show how ridiculos that sounds. Why would heneed to survive Ice Beam? The same way HP EV's on a Sash user makes absolute 0 sense

Just kidding. Gliscor counters everything.
 
Cresselia, Celebi, Slowbro, Weezing, Gyarados.. Basically a lot of pokemon that can cripple (paralyse/burn) it. After 1 SD he still won't be 1HKO'ing most of them with Extremespeed / Close Combat / Crunch.

Steadfast

vacuum wave
aura sphyre

Yeah, out speeds stuff.
 
What would be a good mixed set? Inferior as it may seem, it's still an option. Which is why I love Lucario. And Infernape.

But not Shuckle.
 
Mixed Lucario is weaker because special walls not named blissey will beat it really (and a few others but in general...) and Bulky Waters (especially Swampert) will really cream in while it dies from Life Orb recoil.

But should still be listed, despite being inferior. Nioovelty sets were given before, as was the case with Golem.
