3rd Gen Pokemon Emerald Monotype Challenge

    Ok..

    Here's the rules:
    - You only can use one type of Pokemon.
    - If the pokemon evolves into something not its type, you cannot use it.

    Example:

    If you use Normal as the type

    Bidoof (Normal) into Bibarel (Normal/WATER)
    ^
    Not acceptable.
    -
    - Your challenge ends when you beat Steven and the Battle Fronteir.
    -HM slaves (of different types) are allowed, but cannot be trained.
    - You can catch Pokemon for your pokedex, but cannot train them.
    - If a HM slave or Pokemon you caught that is not the type you pick for the Dex levels up, you MUST release that pokemon.
    - Starters are allowed. So if you run a Normal(type) Monotype Challenge, you can still use Mudkip, Torchic or Treecko. (if you pick normal, you'll seriously need to consider this option.
    - One person per type.



    You must post your progress after every gym, E4 member, Steven, and Fronteir Brain, Rival battle, and Wally batte beaten. Match Calls included

    Fire- WATER PKMN TRAINER (O_O' little ironic though.)
    Water- Brien
    Electric - OPEN
    Grass - Pika_Master414
    Psychic - Wulf
    Ghost - gothic_kid
    Dragon - OPEN
    Steel - JollyRogers *or something like that*
    Dark - CrkrJack
    Poison - Aaronburnsyou
    Fighting - Cody B
    Ice- DARK_SANDSLASH
    Rock - OPEN
    Ground - OPEN
    Bug - Trainer Kat
    Flying - BidoofMaster

    Also, I could use a banner for this challenge >_> Whoever makes one gets any type they want taken or not (if it's already taken, the person already there is still able to continue with that type, and if it's not, another person can still take the type as well.)

    Use these banners, and put them in your sig, depending on what type you choose.

    UPDATE!

    ALL DUEL TYPES ARE PERMITTED!

    however, they must always be the type you are using

    example, if I am flying, I can't catch a magikarp and evolve it,

    I must catch a garados.




    As I am assisting with this event, I will expand on the rules.

    This is ,Infact, A race.

    We are deciding what exactly will be the prize (possibly something on diamond/pearl, if someone donates)

    All winners will receive custom banners of their team, the trainer sprite of their choice, and the place they were in the race (first - third)



    Basic Rules (Subject to Change)

    1. Must update journey every week, preferably more often.

    2. If you are doing an emulator, please show screenshots of your badges, and the team you used. If you are using your game, like me, take a picture with a camera (if it shows up) and give us proof of acheivements.
    This is not required, but useful as proof.

    3. Duel types are permitted, in the circumstance that they are caught as that type of Duel-Type, and remain it.

    Examples:

    Mudkip is Mud/Water, as is all it's other evolutions.

    Wingull is Water/Flying, so is pelipper.

    Tenticool is Water Poison, well, you get the idea.


    This post will continue to be edited as we find the need to add/edit rules.

    Um, I'm not sure how often I'll be able to play, but I'd like to give the Poison type a try.

    Questions:
    -Are dual types allowed? (Ex// Poison/Flying, Poison/Bug, etc.)
    -Specifically how soon do we need to have a pokemon of our chosen type by? (Ex// Ice types don't appear until Shoal Cave, which is in Mossdeep)

    1. Depends. If it was a dual type at the first stage, then yeah.

    2. If you have a far off type, you can use a replacement until then.

    Hmmm... i think i'll go dragon...

    Can i use trapinch? Since there is no other dragon types available until like just before the E4... (also all dragon types are dual types XP)

    If not i'll go with flying. Question can i use gyarados with flying if I catch it as one?
     
    Since there are no Pure Flyings, yes, you can. But you can't evolve it from a Magikarp.

    Also, Yes you can get trapinch. You might want to get 6 of them then, lol.

    Plus Rayquaza counts as a Dragon.

    So, which type do you want?

    and also can i have persmission to use Corphish, Cactnea, and Shiftry....

    I have a Ralts and a Mudkip.
    Quite chalenging, since Ralts only has one offense move.
    I had a lot of trouble on the Gym Leader's Nosepass the first time, but managed to use a lot of growls and double teams to defeat it.

    I'm gonna need a cutter Pokemon soon.
