[Developing] Pokemon: Everlasting Orchard (Dating/Farming sim Pokemon game)

Ugh. It's doing that thing again.

After I got a new laptop and transferred the game over I noticed that I couldn't download RPG Maker directly from the website anymore. So I used the free version of the game while waiting for Steam's Summer sale so I could buy it from there. (It was only a few days away at that point. It was like, $2.50.)
At first I was thinking "it's because I didn't have "cries" for all of the Pokemon, right?" but nah. RPG Maker XP through Steam have been eating some of the .DAT files without reconstructing them. I found what files they are from a previous build, (for the most part,) inserted them in and the game's working again. It's compiling right now. I'm guessing the fix will be uploaded in about an hour? Maybe two.
 
I literally made an account just to tell you how cool this is. I may not comment a lot but im very excitedly watching for updates!

That was a dev tile that I forgot to mark as "dev." (LOL) I removed it.

I also added a lot of stuff relating to your barn Pokemon and some of the berries. :)

Not for this game, no. I'm not even sure what I'd use one for. I rarely use Discord anyway since my laptop likes overheating whenever I do. (I mostly just use it in case I need to contact my brother-in-law for whatever reason.)

I fixed that in the latest build, (and add in a whole bunch of things) but the really weird thing about this is that that map doesn't even exist anymore. I don't know where you were teleported.
 
while this is definitely one of my more favourite games, and i look forward to every update, ive started to feel like getting to certain points with relationships takes way too long, like by the time im dating someone (and getting most hours out of every day) i've pretty much done everything else, to the point where all im doing is watering berries, talking to them, maybe do one other thing if its a special day, and then go back to bed before its noon, and i personally just kind of lose interest after doing that for a while, especially when i play from scratch every update just to try and find all the new things (and in case my old save breaks something)

you've got plenty on your plate and you can take my comment with a grain of salt, but its just my personal opinion, i want to do all the things without getting the urge to manipulate the save (maybe let the player give presents daily/x times a week with a bonus on their birthday?)
 
I just picked a starter and when i tried going out from the building, the screen got darker and it won't take any inputs. Is there something wrong on my end perhaps?

It's been a while since I've been on this website, but I saw this game awhile back, but it looked like you stopped working on this game or something. Glad to see it got updated, I didn't want to waste my time on a game that wasn't going to be finished but now that you're back and it looks like it'll be updated... I'm willing to play the game for a while and see how it goes because as someone who did play Stardew Valley, I was really interested in the idea of a Pokémon dating sim game with a mix of Stardew Valley.
 
I just downloaded the game and for some reason at the beginning where you first leave the professors office i get stuck right outside and I cant move no matter what I press, I'm not sure if its something i did wrong or what but I literally cannot progress.

"I keep doing the same thing and I'm getting burnt out" is like, the ultimate compliment in a way. This truly is a farming/dating sim game now!
I did add quite a bit of stuff, and I'm about to add a lot of things to do. (Though most of them probably won't be available for a while.)

And I'm not going to allow you to give more than one present a day though- that'd make dating waaay too easy! :P

I paused for about a year and a half to focus on sprite commissions (because I was making money off of it) but I stopped after something happened. I just didn't want to continue doing commissions after that.

I attempted to fix this problem. I kind of had to guess what the problem was, but when I tested it out (with the event that plays during that time) it worked just fine for me.
If it's still happening, it's possible that the problem is the size of the window, actually. I tested it out using the smallest window size. The RPG Maker I have to use for this (Essentials doesn't work on any other version) is over 20 years old and it might struggle with cutscenes where a lot is going on within the event.
My laptop isn't even a year old yet, but it can struggle sometimes during certain parts of the game if I'm playing on the "medium" sized window. So I'm guessing that it's a software issue. This is just a guess, though.

I'm not so sure this is a problem with the game if every single sound or piece of music is glitching. The audio sounds just fine on my end. I uh... I don't really know what to tell you.
 
just downloaded the game and it keeps telling me the fonts aren't installed even though they are...

kept getting a hanging script error so im gonna redownload the game to see if that fixes it
 
I got a new computer so the previous issues I had before should (hopefully) be fine now. I havent tested it yet (though I plan to after this comment), but I wanted to ask if theres a way to speed up the game? Just because I think I've done everything up to that big city (that I had trouble getting to before) like 5 times now and I have not been looking forward to doing it a sixth (I'm just impatient lol). Totally fine if not (I've heard there's been issues because of the games size, so extra features probably wouldn't help). Just wanted to ask if there was one already toggleable in the game that I couldn't find before.
