Pokemon Forbidden

    Now, we all know why Ash only has pikachu in Hoenn, but can anyone else think of a reason why many pokemon are not allowed in Hoenn? My idea: strict pokemon immigration policies.
     
    Well if you say last Staurdays show then you see that Ask wanted to leave his pokemon there, Gary just wanted his Blastoise just like when he first started, and Ash wanted to do the same. Its not that Ash could not have all of his pokemon its just Ash wanting it to be like the first time he started out.

    One of the real reasons was, they wanted Ash to sort of do what people who picked up R/S must do. Leave all their old Pok?mon behind and get all new ones in Hoenn. Pikachu stayed because cute sells. ^_^;
     
    well... Pikachu is an obtainable pokemon as well in RS so no conflict of interest that... though they violate all logics of the pokemon game in the anime such as electric vs ground and iron tailing Pikachu... but still AG (japanese) is very enjoyable to watch ^_^
     
    If you are wondereing why you can't get pokemon other that those that can be catch in Hoenn in your Ruby/Sapphire game than it is propably because you didn't get far enough to open the feature that lets you trade with easier versions of the game.
     
    No, you can not obtain ones beyond the legit two-hundred, and never can trade back to the earlier ones.

    With Ash and Gary its Monkey see Monkey do! if Gary decided to go bungee jumping without a bungee...Ash'd do the same! ^_^;
     
    But then again, there's the problem with Team Rocket's (Jessie and James) pokemon. I don't think Arbok and Wheezing are allowed in Hoenn.

    But....won't you be able to go beyond 200 by transferring in what you catch in Collesium and Fire Red/Leaf Green?

    Pikachu is in R/S, so it does make sense, but didn't I read Brock brings his Foretress? I would think it would make more sense to have him bring Geodude and/or Crobat to Hoenn. And like someone said before, Team Rocket's Pokemon aren't in R/S, which would be trouble (make it double!) for Meowth. Jessie would only have her Wobbafet(sp)!

    Yes, that's right. You have to link up with those, and most likely can at any point in RS after you get the Pok?dex.
