Chapter 61: The Darkness That Is... (Part 1)

(Dimentio)

Dimentio looked at the dying body of Solar and shook his head. "A part of Aetherion is lost forever. While I'm not sure of his... plans with Konan, this may be bad news, for now... Aetherion can never gain her true power again." Said Dimentio. "Oh well... we still have other sources of power. Heh, this will be fun anyway."

(Pluto)

Pluto looked on in horror. "L-lord Solar! Don't be too mad!" Yelled Pluto before freezing Solar's corpse. "I'm sorry, but I know you will understand." Pluto then smashed Solar's body into pieces. Pluto looked at Konan before saying. "However... if one of us exist... all of us exist. Hehehe...hahahaha!" Pluto then teleported away, laughing maniacally.

(Dimentio)

Dimentio processed what Pluto said. "What? Is that even possible? Could Solar still be alive? This hasn't been foretold. Crap... this might mess everything up." Said Dimentio as he vanished. "I hope Darkrai knows what he's doing."

(Orbital Leo Tribe)

A light on a weird-looking pod blinked, and the door opened. Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto stood around the pod. "Hehehe..." (T: That *****... I will get my revenge.) Said the voice. The man walked out, revealing Solar, having escaped his 'death'. "Hehahaheha!" (T: Hmm... it also seems that my mental regression has worn off... and the power of Aetherion is still in me!)

"Welcome back. I assume your second death was better than last time?" Asked Mercury, handing his father a robe. Solar took the robe and put it on. "I mean, you are in a better condition than earlier."

"Ha!" (T: Yeah, I feel good. I have to thank that girl, actually.) Said Solar. "Hehehehaha!" (T: Maybe one more, and I will finally be able to talk normally again.)

"Maybe." Said Mercury, looking out in the room. You see dozens of pods for everyone except Pluto, Lunar, and Neptune. "We have a long time to find out. Haha!"

(OOC: I'm sorry, but I still need Solar for later on.)

(Andrew)

Andrew slowly got up and tried to run after Solar, but since he had no clue about where Solar was, he just kept running aroound. "Solar! Konan!" Yelled Andrew as he ran into a clearing. He looked at Konan and said. "Konan! You're alright!"

"You idiot! Stay away from her! She is dripping with dark power, like Volkner was earlier!" Yelled Kalius, not wanting himself to die again.

"What?" Asked Andrew to himself.

(Volkner)

Volkner sighed as he looked at the TV. A week ago or so, he was in his gym, now he was in a hospital, having nearly destroyed the entire city. "Man, I hope Latios and Latias are okay."

'Volkner... Vooolkner.' Whispered a voice from seemingly nowhere. He looked around.

"Wh-what was that?" Asked Volkner as he looked around. The voice was gone, and Elisa, who had woken up, looked at him.

"What are you talking about?" Asked Elisa. Volkner looked at Elisa.

"Didn't you hear that voice?" Questioned Volkner. Elisa shook her head. "Oh, man... what's going on?"

'I will never leave you, Volkner... We are now truely the same man.' Whispered the voice once more. Volkner simply tuned out the voice.

(Rei)

Rei woke up in the waiting room, surrounded by a lot of people.

"It's Grand Lord Rei!"

"Quick, get him! He's worth 21,000,000!"

"No way, wait for the police!"

"Oh, crap!" Yelled Rei, unable to walk with his new limbs. After all, having not really walked most of his life, he couldn't do anything.

"Stop right there!" Yelled a man, walking in. He is 6'2" tall, and wore a black suit and hat. His tie is black, as well as his shoes. His skin is dark tan and his hair is a dark brown, going down to the back of his neck. His eyes are hazel, and his nose is a little long and pointy.

"It's Damien! The famous movie actor!" Yelled a random girl. Girls of all kinds started to flock to him.

"Grand Lord Rei has no limbs on the right side of this body, yet this kid has all of his limbs!" Exclaimed Damien. "Also, there are a lot of people who look like him in the world... with the exception of the missing limbs."

"Oh, so Damien's saying that the kid isn't Rei?" Asked a random person.

"Wow! I believe him! He's so cool!" Exclaimed a kid. With similar opinions, the other people went away.

"Kid, you're lucky I stuck up for you." Said Damien as he sat down.

"Who are you?" Asked Rei. Damien froze at that.

"You don't know about me? Well, I am Damien Anthroque, a human. I am an actor, and a producer from Jubilife City. I am here because my brother, who has been living here for a while is sick. I have come to visit him."

"Oh, really?" Asked Rei. Damien nodded.

"Damien, your brother is ready to see you." Said a nurse. Damien nodded before saying.

"Kid, you might see me again." Said Damien. "Maybe. Well, I have to go. Good bye, kid."

(ooc: Damien will appear from time to time as a side character. He has no real effect to the story.)

I'm not in the scene... I think I'm falling asleep

"Gado…"

"Hush, Atton. Stay quiet. Watch as they part. I need to pull myself together, remember and recapitulate. There are secrets of a millennium still untold. Now follow them, they might need help."

"Fine"

Atton's massive self began to pursue Skye, his eyes never fading away from the head of a dimmed Konan. So many things going through his mind moment, so many actions he wanted to do; every single one blocked at the will of a muffled alter ego. One whose once sadistic, but vigorous and vital spirits had been squatted with a conversation. One whose ability to think and react, as well as vivid optimism, had fallen into a complete state nihilism. The one with the muscles of a mountain, the serenity of a stream, the fierceness of a wildfire, and, above all, the kindness of a flowerbed, had now been turned into a mere object where every single square millimeter of his body was his Achilles' heel. It depressed Atton to see that the animal he had become was now tamed; and it confused him even more because he didn't feel a link with Gado now. He couldn't feel what he was feeling or see what he was seeing. For a time, they were two separate being, mainly at Gado's choice. But Atton didn't stutter in obeying, and he continued to walk at a steady pace.

"You know, Atton. There many things about myself, and even yourself, that remain untold…" Gado said after a long while of quite awkward silence.

"You say like if it I didn't know." Atton responded calmly.

"You don't. They're things you would've never found out of. Unimaginable. Things that even I am afraid to remember. Things that I don't even know…" The bestial said as Atton felt him grow smaller and smaller, shrinking in fear about images that could at any moment come back to his head.

"You know, Gado? Let them remain untold. In these days… I've learned more about myself than in my I had in my whole life. And this is really beginning to stress me out. I've been in the brink of dead already, I feel powers I can't control inside. If fear for my future, and I fear the lives of others. My head's a mess at the moment… In any case… All I see are familiar faces and worn out places. I want a break, and I'm unsure if I will ever get one." Atton spoke tiredly. His high spirits were, too, beginning to fade away. Maybe this was too much. The warrior of thunder wasn't prepared for this.

"But there are still many things you ought to learn"

"I've learned enough…" The young Leo hissed as he looked down at his punctured and bleeding hands. "Now focus, Gado. I'm beginning to feel as just an encumbrance now. You're a wimp, man; I mean, I know I can't understand your pains… But face it, will ya?"

There were a couple of silenced seconds, so Atton continued to walk, but all of a sudden, he felt a direct kick to the groin, bringing him to his knees. But there was no one around, and it had been a silent blow. Feeling like he was about to regurgitate blood, Atton looked up to see Skye walking away; but it wasn't much, of course, before he felt malevolent presences approaching him and Konan. Before he could even move, anyway, an unknown voice whispered "Good night" into his ear and knocked him unconscious.

(…)

It had been a while already since the last time Atton entered mindscape. This time, anyway, was special. He wasn't in the flawless, white stencil he always appeared, or on his usual clothes and with his outer-world injuries. This time, he appeared in a place clearly the epitome of purity. A green field with wonderfully colored flowers, the freshest aroma anyone could imagine, and a sky as blue as possible. A warm sun, with cotton clouds and merry Pidgey cooing. The whole place was leveled, except for a small hill in the center. Atton was wearing nothing but a pair of black shorts. It didn't take him long to realize he was in Gado's mind games again, but why he did this was unknown to him. "Gado, show yourself." Atton demanded as he walked over to the top of the hill.

"No, Atton. You must see this. It might save your life sometime, or it might be your demise. What you're about to witness… I'm unsure of where or why it took place. Maybe it was something that already happened, maybe it's something it will happen, maybe it's just a legend… But it will change the way you see yourself. No, look."

Gado's voice boomed in a tone of seriousness, and Atton presumed it was better to obey. He knew hits in mindscape hurt as much as in real life, and with Gado in control here; it was wise to play it safe. It was all inside his head, anyway; what could happen? Suddenly, a number of humans appeared in front of Atton, all lined up. There were probably around 10. None of them had a face. "What?" Atton asked as he looked around, hoping Gado to appear sometime soon.

"Life Sap them."

"Life Sap?"

"Don't act like you don't know what I mean. You might feel Ok, but you're hurt. I taught you Life Sao while inside the Mother Tree. You know, what you used to recover after Konan killed you. And what you used to transfer energy after Aetherion took over her."

Resistance was futile, Atton did know what he meant, but it had been some time already since he used Life Sap. In any case, he took his hand to the head of the first body, drained his energy as a luminous purple light lit on his hand, and then let the body hit the floor. And he did that with each of the 10 bodies, every single one of them giving a step towards Atton after the one in front of them fell.

As soon as he was done, the sky turned dark. A bloodlust dark with ominous clouds. The sweet scent suddenly smelled foul. A cadaver replaced every flower on the place, and everything nice went bad. No life could be sensed. Everything was decayed, rotten. But anyway, Atton had seen worse. Or had he?

"Behold, Atton; for a transformation is about to take place."

Out of the blue a number of zombie-like creatures began to come out, all armed with weapons such as bows and crossbows. Millions and millions of them. All with violent eyes and the position to hunt Atton.

"What do you want to prove…? We've been through worse… I… GAAAAAAH!"

Atton broke out in a loud roar as he felt a rush of blood to the head. He felt possessed all of a sudden, and not by Gado anymore. Something… Something much more maleficent. Overcome by pure evil.

His skin turned red, from top to bottom, and his eyes went from their usual blue to completely black, and his muscles grew more than when he turns Gado. Way more. So much more, actually, that the muscles cut through the skin at certain points, revealing the vivid flesh and pounding arteries. Not to mention he grew from his 6'7 to almost 8'0, bones cracking and breaking as he did. "What's happening?!" Atton yelled as he noticed that his teeth grew by a lot, piercing out through his lips. He looked down at his hands and noticed that his fingers began to tear apart as long titanium-like claws sprouted. The bones in his spine increased in size, forcing him to bend over slightly and giving him a hunchback appearance. When it seemed like it couldn't get worse, the each single vertebra broke through his skin, and his back looked like the one of a stegosaurus. Same happened with his elbows and part of his legs. Bony spikes came out, looking like swords. Atton yelled in pain again when the most horrible thing happened. Above his eyebrows, two devil horns sprouted out, at least 4 feet in length each. The only thing relatable to the Leo was the long, raven mane that sprouted.

"What's happening Gado?!" This hideous, monstrous, and bloodied being yelled as he fell on his knees. It didn't look like Atton anymore. Not at all. Hell, it didn't seem human. But Gado responded not. Not until the devilish creature roared loudly, pieces of flesh coming out of his mouth as he did, and rammed over at the army of undead. They threw javelins at him. They shot arrows. They stabbed him with longswords. And even though his skin was penetrated and an acid like substance came out, burning his own dermis and the ground it fell on, the creature continued attacking. The force of a rhinoceros on each of his arms, combined with the speed of a gazelle, the jumping force of a frog and the size of an elephant.

The thunders roared at his will. He would tear the head off of 50 enemies at once. His jabs would make craters on the ground, and his headbutts would cause a tremor.

"Taios" Gado hissed sensually in the deformed ears of the beast. For a moment, the wrecking stopped, and the animal stood straight, coal, murky eyes wide open. Yes, the army continued to attack him, doing everything they could to bring him down, and he barely even felt it. "This creature was one known by the wisest seers. As the ultimate warrior and last member of the Terrenal Leo tribes, the form of Taios was something I always wanted to achieve. But it wasn't possible. It was too late by the time I learned about it. Jackals were all over us. Not to mention it was too dangerous… You know… But I think it is just a legend. No one but I knew about it. And now you do. Enjoy.I can't imagine anyone resisting such a force. I mean, I never accomplished Taios. If I can't, no one can. I am Gado, last of the millenary Terrenal Leos. "

"And you're also a jerk! I didn't need to know this! It hurts! AAH!"

Atton collapsed, quickly losing all signs of Taios. Had it been real, or had it been a delusional game by Gado? He was good at mind games, anyway. Whatever it was, it put mindscape Atton into a near death state. Morphing back into Atton from Taios wasn't like it was from Gado. Atton's body didn't adapt. His muscle still punctured his flesh. Claws and bones retracted, but the orifices on the skin didn't vanish. Nor did they stop bleeding. His knees, hips, elbows, and all other joints couldn't recuperate from the sudden superstretch, so they were dislocated; if not fractured. Random scratches and bruises appeared all over his body. the horns on his forehead fell off, but the wounds did scar. Atton watched crying as one of the enemies approached, waved an axe up in the air, and then swung it down to his neck…

(…)

"Woah!"

Atton woke up when he felt a lukewarm snort directly make contact with his face. Panting, the Leo sat himself up, not using his arms, for they were to busy checking his temperature and pulse. As soon as his eyes quit being stupidified, Atton looked around. Veil was right beside him, gently petting his face with her own. The balminess in her self soothed the nervous Atton. Still semi-petrified, Atton looked at where his wounds were. Gone. He wasn't broken, nor scarred, nor bleeding. He knew he was in mindscape, but it still frightened him.

"Gado… Don't you ever do that again. Leave me alone."

Infuriated, Atton stood up, using Veil as support. "Where are we, Veil…?" He rubbed his eyes and then continued to look around. He was somewhere around Route 11, and he could see that because Vermilion was to the West. But, how had he gotten there? Or more importantly, who had kicked him and dragged his body there? Unaware of anything that could be going on at the moment, Atton sighed. More decided than ever, Atton clenched his stained fists as he watched his muscles contract and grown into a fighting stance and climbed on top of Veil. He began to gallop very slowly towards Vermilion, hoping to meet the group there for some explanations. Little did he know, of course, of such evil forces waiting for his arrival.

((Behold. My first post in many months. You might notice, my skills are horrid and my intelligence is deprived. To my eyes, this post is exceptionally 'not me'. Except the last part after the ellipses. I kinda like it. I'm aware this takes me nowhere in the Roleplay, but as I stated to some, I don't want to do anything big until I know where I stand. It was hard catching up. I didn't know even my exact location. xD But the hardest part is knowing Atton's relationship towards other characters at this point. Anyone mind elaborating :A
I'll become better in time (: ))

It isn't too hard to see, we're in heaven..

Ooc: Not much has changed, I don't think, save for the appearance of Lila. She's the reincarnation of the Goddess, and when she opens up a can of whoopass, she can use any of the powers that any of the elements. possess. I bunnyed Atton a little bit, for a post or two, letting them get chatty because I wanted her to meet him. He left her with Veil in the battle of the Shadow Dome with Andrew up against Volkner, and she charged in on her. So she's buddy buddy with Veil, too. That's what happened right before Atton started following Konan and Skye, but I suggest that you read at least those. As for this post.. Everyone's swarming Konan, so this will be a useless little filler, a heartwarming scene between her, Rei, and Elisa in the Hospital. Lulz. I want her to be completely surprised when Konan comes to skewer her.

"I'm sorry Lila, but I didn't see it. Kalius saw it.." Andrew offered her as explanation, and, realizing that again she had collided with a dead end, Lila glumly plodded onward, head swimming with the events she had managed to wrap heself up in in less than three hours. She sighed, body aching with fatigue, though in actuality, it had been less than thirty minutes ago that she had sat up in the hospital bed. Her stomach churned ominously, a forewarning of yet more unfortunate events to come. To Andrew's reply, she said nothing, only stared onward thoughtfully, pondering about this Kalius fellow. Obviously, she knew who he was, but how could she land a chance encounter with him? Even if she could, was that the route she really wanted to traverse? An alternate persona who wouldn't mind seeing her as stain in the carpet?

"While he told me the basics, he wouldn't tell me anything more. He's up to something, I know that much." Andrew pronounced, glancing back down at Lila. Neither one took note of the incredulous looks of disbelief coming from various persons making their way through the labryinth that the Hospital hallways resembled. At the very least, quizzical looks of puzzlement, and on the other end of the spectrum, venomous glares of outrage. Had Lila noted them, she would've pondered what they were all about, a newcomer to the world. But the fact of the matter was, Anthropomorphs just didn't mingle, especially in Vermillion city, where an Ownership status wasn't offered. Lila was unaware that Anthropomorphs, coming from tribes, some primitive, some modern, came from their own individual worlds, where they all lived as creatures of a single species, a single kind, no acceptances. Elders and individuals choosing to remain in the confines of these little villages retained the rigid values and behavorial codes, while wanderers like Konan, Atton, Iris, and Yuki were a little more lenient, interacting freely with humans and fellow Morphs alike. Still, even in large cities, Anthropomorphs and Humans' quarters were segregated, and Morphs, unable to live side by side with human, often had the sore luck of being forced to live in the dumpy, crime-ridden slums of town. If Lila's mother could've seen her now, she would've fainted at the mere sight of her innocently walking next to the sole remaining male of the Falcon race, hero or no hero.

"But that's not important. If I were to fall unconscious, then it would be potentially dangerous. But that shouldn't happen too soon." He waved this last comment off nonchalantly, but it had already sent Lila's head spinning. Fall unconcious? Why? What happens? Does he sprout horns? Does he turn into a Werewolf? ..Does he eat people? Doubtfully, as a small child will oftentimes touch a hot stove when ordered not to out of simple human curiosity, Lila slowly looked around the corridors they traveled for just a way to do what he warned against. Missing out on her most vital childhood years, she now had alot of catching up to do. Finally, they came to a set of double glass doors, and as Andrew sailed out them effortlessly, seemingly in order to reach another wing, reaching an broad expanse of varying foliage, from a bed boasting a cornucopia of flowers, to the Trees towering a good fifty feet above the ground. Lila gawked up at said trees, being born of the city, never quite having seen anything so big, so beautiful, so timeless. she wasn't one for symbols, but if anything were the inverse of her, it was this steady old tree. Immediately, she loved it, and ran up to it in childlike curiosity to attempt communication with it.

Abruptly, as neither her or Andrew could've predicted, a whole squadron of people.. Or morphs rather, appeared out of the blue. They were a team of Leos, and amazingly enough, Lila recalled this fact without extreme difficulty, as this wasn't the first time she had seen the likes of Sola, Pluto, etc etc etc. Lila flinched, still pressed up against the antique bark of the tree, luckily out of direct harm's way. Wide eyes stared in alarm at Andrew, the member that they wanted. They seemed not to notice Lila's presence, having not a vision sensitive enough to detect her potential, her own unlocked power, that is, the force to possess any given element.

The leader of the pack, an older, middle-aged scoundrel, promptly fired a fireball at Andrew. Before either Andrew or Lila could react to deflect it, the fireball made contact, and Andrew was brought to his knees.

"Gah!" Was all he exclaimed.

Lila's wide, lavender eyes surveyed the scene insecurely, momentarily hesitating on what to do, before unexpectedly, a low humming of sorts, the type commonly associated with healing, an internal force coming vaguely from somewhere within Lila, clearing her of all formal worries and linear thought. The transformatio was nothing drastic, in fact, with seconds her irises had shifted from lilac to golden, and her hair, as if drawn out through freaky extensions, now fell well past her waist. Without a single word to announce her presence, Lila stepped before the downed Andrew, a murky sphere of water brewing between elegant fingers, as fluidly, she took aim at the tribe. Before she could fire, however, Andrew had already jetted past her, successfully making contact of his own via connecting an instant wind blade to Solar.

"Hmph." Lila grumped, celestial power already ebbing away. "Mine would've been much more effective." Her powers taking an immediate chunk out of her former perfect health, Lila sagged tiredly against the wood of the tree in order to recuperate. She could only watch helplessly, still gone unnoticed as Andrew was slammed mercilessly into the side of the Hospital building. Struggling to her feet, she wavered, teeth gritting obstinately against her lower lip as she wobbled, refusing to succumb to the suggestive pulls of sleep, fearing that she might never wake up.

"Lord Solar isn't worth 42,000,000 for nothing!" The Leo appearing youngest in age declared. Lila was still struggling at a grandma's pace to get back to the fight scene.

"He is powerful... far more so than any other member.. However, his speech and behavior have suffered from it."

Power? Thought Lila, wrinkling her nose in a disgruntled fashion. What good is it without beauty, or love? How can someone be so out of grips with reality, that all they think of is fighting, and destruction? The world isn't meant for the likes of them, and so the simple solution is elimination. He seeks to take away the beauty and peace.. And I fear.. that he, as well as all these other syndicates, are only distracting us from the real purpose.. But what is the real purpose? Why.. why are they all gathered together? So many clashing personality and elements.. What are they striving for? The irony, was that this, all of this, was linked back to her. Yet she seemed to be the one so low in demand right now.

"Shut up!" Another of the organization snarled, holding a hand up for silence, as he stood, eyes closed, seeming to feel something different, a sudden change in the atmosphere, the wheels of fate shifting once again.

"I think Aetherion is weakened."

"Aetherion? Then that means Konan is in trouble!" Lila yelped, arms waving frantically over at Andrew.

"I've only seen her shift into Aetherion a few times, so that equals bad, right?" She continued, suddenly second-guessing herself.

As suddenly as they had appeared, the tribe vanished, and again, Lila and Andrew were left alone. She immediately stumbled over to the fallen Falcon, who only writhed feverishly in the dirt and grass. Concern showing through the lines of her face, she quietly placed a palm just above his center, lightly pressed against the frame of his chest, transferring as much energy as humanly possible, until she grew woozy with her own lack of energy, and had to close the channel off. She knew that when the time came, he would need it all much more than she did. As she pulled away from him unsteadily, Andrew faded into unconsciousness. Nervously heeding his warning, before dragging him to a cool, shaded place where he would wake up, either as himself again or Kalius, Lila scampered away, only looking back once at the boy who had saved her, hopeful that she had at least partially returned the favor to him.

-Inside the Hospital- Lila and Elisa make a break for it!-

Lila had not a facisimile of a clue where she might find Elisa, but she had the nagging feeling that she didn't have very long. For one, the little reverse Life Sap stunt she had pulled had left her on the verge of being KOed, by herself at that, for another, she felt that the authorities might've already been called and on their way if Elisa had made a quick recovery, to lock her up in some maximum security prison or something. There were only two existing Falcons on the face of the planet, and the other was a man. It left little doubt for the identity of the poor Falcon girl. And so, determined to give her the second chance Andrew had begged her to, as well as see her about her own identity crisis, Lila half-hobbled, half-jogged down the corridor of the building Andrew had been leading her to, searching without luck for any clues to Elisa's whereabouts.

Having a game of Where's Elisa, are we? Bane sniggered, appearing from the leather pack on her back, to the joy of Lila, as she had formerly forgotten all about his Psychic ability.

"Yeah. It's become increasingly more popular than the traditional game of Where's Waldo?. So how about giving me a hand, buddy old pal?"

"How about kissing my transparent ass, Lila. You sent me to the corner, and now you're only dredging me up because you need me. Screw you and the crap you put me through, Lila."

"Oh Bane, don't be sore with me.." Lila cooed sweetly, this time being the one forced to get down on her knees and beg, lest Bane not assist her, and she be left to wander the halls of this depressing hospital like a phantom. She knew this ghost well, and was well aware that reason wouldn't pull him out of his funk, so instead, she turned on the incentives.

"Bane, ifyou successfully help me locate Elisa, I promise not to recall you to your Pokeball.. For the rest of the day."

"She's in the room right across from where you're standing, sweetheart. The door with "Falcon/Volkner" makred on the folder outside." Lila facepalmed, but a promise was a promise. Either way, she couldn't dwell on this now. She had come to Elisa's door, and it would require all the courage she could muster to let herself be at the mercy of this powerful being. Cautiously, she peered uncertainly around the door, until she had caught Elisa in her sights, and had gained her bearings enough to have the plums to waltz on in there.

-To be edited, as my hands are positively throbbing, or if someone posts after me, i'll just work out a new post for this segment.-

((Oh, no, you see; I have been reading and stuff; not as thoroughly as I would've done before, I admit, but yeah. It's just that when your character's bunnied... Dunno, you need to think less objectively. But yes... I guess, I'll just go on like nothing happened. Eventually I'll catch up. Lol. But thanks. :D Now, no more OOC's or GP will send that vicious Hamster/Gerbil/Rat/Mini-raccoon? to go om nom nom after me. (: ))

(ooc: Well, Kalius tries to emerge and do evil again, whoopee. Also, random rants about fangirls that I have no clue where it came from. As well as the return of an old foe Kalius killed. And that same foe made a deal with the devil, so… yeah. I was bored and imaginative when I came up with this post, and I guess it makes Darkrai have another minion like Dimentio.)

Chapter 62: The Darkness that is… (Part 2)

Andrew looked around, while Konan was in front of him, he felt… something else. A threat that hasn't been released in a while. One that has been gaining power… Or, Kalius.

"Are you really that afraid of Konan? Heh, you have got to be kidding me." Taunted the falcon.

"Look who's talking, you wanted to be far away!" Exclaimed Andrew, but Kalius shrugged off the insult before saying.

"With the level of power you have, I would be scared! You had to rely on Alex to defeat Volkner. Now, I think that I should have a shot at the real world now. The last few times I came out I was in a forest, an Enel base, and a volcano. I never had a chance to kill anyone other than that ***** Corosa." Said Kalius, and before Andrew could reply, Kalius pulled him into his mindscape.

(Mindscape)

"Now, I'm being serious. I want out, and you're not going to stop me." Said Kalius.
"Oh yeah? Well I'm not letting you-" Andrew was interrupted by Kalius kicking Andrew before blasting him through a rock pillar.

"Kid, you don't stand a chance… wait. That theme sounds familiar." Said Kalius, looking around. "Don't tell me he can enter minds. That's a little overkill."

"Ahahaha! Like a test on the final day, I arrive unwanted." Said Dimentio appearing in the mindscape. "Ah, it seems that you two have some… issues."

"What do you want, Dimentio!?" Asked Kalius. "And can you turn down your music box? Your theme is blasting through this mind, and it's driving me nuts!" Dimentio snickered.

"No, it is perfect the way it is. It expresses my soul through it's tones." Said Dimentio, spreading his arms into the air.

"It's a freaking VIDEO GAME song! Who likes those?" Asked Kalius, causing Dimentio to giggle.

"That doesn't matter. I'm here to end your games." Said Dimentio snapping his fingers. Both Kalius and Andrew were trapped in golden boxes. "You see, for every molecule of oxygen in there, an explosion takes place. This attack has no use in space, but it gets the job done here on Earth. Or even in a mindscape." Said Dimentio.

"You bas-" Yelled Kalius, only to be interrupted by a snap. The boxes then began to explode on the inside, and when they were done, the two fell to the ground, unconscious.

"Ah, lying has such sweet benefits." Said Dimentio as he floated up to Andrew, placing some sort of chip in his head. "You see… I don't think your game will be over for a little while, so I just implanted you with a little monitor. It allows us to watch everything you think of. Don't worry, your most private thoughts will be safe… with Lord Darkrai, who really doesn't care about any… fantasies you have."

"I believe I have overstayed my welcome, now I must be off, Ciao!" And with that, Dimentio warped away.

(Outside)

Andrew's body, with both of his minds unconscious, fell to the ground, also joining the world of blissful sleep.

(?)

Dimentio smiled bigger, his never ending smile that only he could produce, whether he is happy, sad, hurt, angry, dying, or even about to kill trillions of people, this smile defined him. "Your potential… Paradise. Is still going to be fulfilled." Said Dimentio, picking up a small chip that was left undamaged from Andrew's fight with the Corosa-bot. "You shall be coming with me, as I pick up your new body. Your game isn't over, it will never be over… Hahahaha HAHAHAHA!" Dimentio laughed as he warped away.

(Volkner and Elisa)

Volkner looked at the door, hearing a voice outside. "I wonder who that is. Is Rei finally here?"

Elisa, looked at the door. Her body was still injured pretty badly, and simple movements with the upper body were all she could make.

"Oh god… maybe it's one of my… fangirls. They never leave me alone, and make rumors about me." Said Volkner. "No one likes fangirls, especially rabid ones."

(ooc: Random RPattz info. He got grazed by a taxi running from his fangirls, he could have died that day, but was lucky. Back to story.)

"They can't be that bad." Said Elisa. "But then again…"

(Flashbacks)

Rei wheeled up to the window of the Cerulean Gym. He looked down and saw a lot of grunts from the former Team Magma, Aqua, Galactic and even a little batch of Rockets. Rei picked up a brick he had laying there and said.

"I'm not going to go down there!" Yelled Rei, throwing a brick, hitting a random Magma member. "Jeez, it's a good thing they can't get me up here. What did I even do to get fangirls?"

"Maybe it's your situation?" Asked Samuel as he took out a gun. He walked over to the window and opened the window. "Get out of here before I kill you all!" Samuel fired a couple of warning shots to drive them off, and it worked.

"I wonder what happens to people who don't have the luxury of two-floor gyms and thousands of bodyguards… like Volkner or Riley?" Asked Rei, pissed off. "If it's the situation, I might as well become a good guy. How did they even get in Cerulean?"

"Um… I don't know… I don't think the guards would slack off. Not with Esuine running the show." Said Samuel, but the fact was that they were overpowered.

"Um… sir? Haven't you noticed that they were all wearing uniforms from rival teams?" Asked Elisa. Rei shook his head before staring at her.

"Fangirls(and boys) aren't people, Elisa. They are just leeches sucking off their favorite yaoi parings, and alternate universes to survive." Said Rei. "It's sickening, when you go online and read a good fanfics of the reality show Pokemon, and you see yourself paired up with Dash! I don't like him at all!"

(ooc: If anyone here is offended by that, just know… this is from Rei, and it gets him into character a little bit. Not me, because I haven't been stalked by anyone (that I know of… thankfully I'm ugly.) This is just his opinion, which unlike other OCs isn't a mouth piece.)

"Are you done angsting yet sir?" Asked Alex, walking into the room. "Because we have business to discuss… namely the bills." Rei nodded before being wheeled out of the room.

(End Flashback)

"Trust me, it's bad." Said Volkner. "It's nice that I'm noticed… but it's a little much. I just hope that there are no fangirls within a certain range. I don't want to deal with that right now."

Dimentio's head popped in out of nowhere, surprising the two. "At least your fangirls don't pair you up with an Italian plumber because you used them to get ultimate power." Said Dimentio before disappearing. (ooc: WTF? Random. This whole post is random from after Dimentio picking up Paradise's chip. Random fact, Dimentio is actually paired up with Luigi… for what reason I don't know, nor do I want to find out.)

"You have no idea, pal." Said Volkner, eye twitching. "No idea at all… wait, who was that guy?"

"Don't know, actually." Said Elisa. "I don't think that it is a fangirl(or boy), or she (maybe he) would have come in and probably end up killing you, and hurting me even worse for being in the same room."

"No, if they are rabid enough, they'd pull the plug. Especially if they saw me talking to someone other then them." Said Volkner as the door finally opened…

And Damien came into the room. "Is this Room 249?" Asked Damien, not seeing any numbers on the outside door. "Because they just told me to find Room 249, and I couldn't find either the number, or my brothers name."

"Um… this isn't room 249." Said Volkner. "This is room 221. I know that because the number is above the door… inside and outside the room." Damien looked at the doorway.

"That's kind of stupid, I really should pay more attention. Well, I'm sorry for wasting your time. Oh, and there's someone out here to see one of you, but is nervous for some reason. Good bye." Said Damien before walking out of the room.

"Hey, was that Damien Anthroque? I love his movies!" Exclaimed Elisa. "It's too bad that I haven't seen any of his new movies."

"Eh, they weren't that bad." Said Volkner. Now before I go onto another random discussion, I'm cutting off from these two.

(?)

"Will she be okay?" Asked a neko-tribe woman who walked into the room. "Will my daughter be okay, doctor?"

"I'm afraid not. Her mind is decaying at a rapid rate, it's like she is… attempting to fight off possession." Said the doctor. "I have never heard of this phenomenon, but her will is fading."

"I won't die!" Yelled the girl in an eerily familiar voice, radically different from what a ten-year old should sound like. "L-lord Alex! Lord Rei! I wish to continue serving you!" The girl struggled against the bonds, the things keeping her from hurting herself. "I won't let my spirit die!"

"Mom! H-help me!" Yelled the girl in her own voice, radically different from the voice just a second ago. "I-I'm scared… I don't want to die… please mom! I don't want to feel..."

"The pain of death!" Screamed the girl in both voices, both the psychiatrist and the mother backed up. "AAHHH!" This was the defining moment. Would the girl fight off the possessor?

"D-doctor? Wh-what can we do?" Asked the mother.

"I-I don't know… If we had a spiritualist here, we could perform an exorcism, but if the spirit casts off the original soul, than there's nothing we can do. Fortunately, or unfortunately, most possessors like to see their host's soul in agony, leading to them getting exorcised." Said the doctor.

"The pain!" Yelled the girl in the deeper voice. The heart rate slowed to normal. The girl, smiled a vicious smile. "I live! Ahahaha! I- I live again! Kalius, I shall get my revenge on you! I swear by the name Corosa DeBlanco!"

"M-my daughter!" Yelled the mother. "Alicia!" Corosa/Alicia broke through the restraints easily and got up. "Give me back my daughter!" The mother started shaking Corosa.

"Get off of me!" Yelled Corosa before punching the mother, cracking her neck. "D-did I do that?" Corosa stared in confusion before smiling. "If I can do that with such a weak punch in such a weak body, then what if I get a strong one? Hehe, hehehehe!"

"S-stop right there!" Yelled the doctor grabbing a needle full of sedatives. "You're not going to do anything!" But he couldn't do anything as Corosa tossed a hair pin she was wearing, going through the doctor's eye and killing him.

"Ahaha! If I can do this, then screw Team Enel! I'm just going to take over the world myself… in the body of a falcon! Ahaha! Kalius, I will kill your soul!" Laughed Corosa as she grabbed some clothes that fit her. Quickly changing out of the hospital gown, we now get a good glimpse of her.

She is about 5' tall with long white hair that goes down to her lower back, Her skin is pale as well. Her eyes are red, having no pigmentation, allowing the blood inside to color the eyes. Her nose is long and pointy, and cat-like ears on top of her head were a little small. Her tail is white as well. Her arms are short and rather thin, but the palms of her hands are long, as well as her fingers. Her claws are fairly long as well, made to rip apart opponents. Her legs are long and also thin as well, leading to her small feet.

Her shirt is a gray shirt that had a picture of Roark on the front of it. The shirt was a little tight, actually, and her black skirt goes down to her knees. She looked monochrome compared to the colors outside. Black and white, even more of a freak than other neko tribe members. Being of the eastern Kanto tribe, they usually have darker features, but the body Corosa was in was a sharp contrast, being albino.

"Hello world! Ex- Enel Admin Corosa DeBlanco is back! Not even death could stop me! Ahahaha!" Laughed Corosa looking out of the window.

"Ahaha! Like a bee to pollen, I have come." Said Dimentio as he appeared. "So you were able to do it after all. Ahaha! I knew it. Dmitri owes me forty dollars!"

"What? What are you talking about?" Asked Corosa, backing away from the man.

"You were able to pull yourself from the jaws of death, inadvertently dooming about a dozen other souls which Lord Darkrai, or one of his followers collected." Said Dimentio. "Like a zombie, you have risen from the grave. And that is good. I'm here to offer you a deal, so your imprint on the world is longer-lasting. Join us, and you shall be rewarded with a chance of revenge!"

"And if I say no?" Asked Corosa, getting ready to attack. Dimentio snapped his fingers. Corosa gasped before leaping out of the way, The ground where she was a moment ago exploded, tearing up the concrete.

"Then you die again. But maybe you'll actually come back, giving us more souls." Said Dimentio. "Either way, you will help us out."

"What kind of person threatens to kill a recruit!?" Yelled Corosa. Dimentio smiled.(Like he wasn't already)

"One whom doesn't care. You'll be treated like royalty if you do accept this." Said Dimentio. "And the power you'll get will be phenomenal." Corosa opened her mouth to speak, when Dimentio's eyes glowed. She saw a picture of herself, in the same body she was in now, but heading an army of ghosts, ghost-type pokemon, even Latios and Latias! Then a picture of her beating Kalius with the power. "You'll be a goddess, the new Goddess of Happiness, instead, you shall be the Goddess of Sorrow."

Corosa, being tempted by the visions and sweet words just asked. "Wh-where do I sign up?" Dimentio smiled even bigger then what he did before snapping his fingers. Corosa jumped at that, but couldn't move in time as she was trapped in a golden box of magic. "Wh-what's going on!?"

"Ahaha! To be of use to Darkrai, you must get to the divine Hall of Origins! But unless you possess an Azure Flute, you can't survive up there! So I place you in a state of half-life temporarily until you swear an oath to Darkrai. Lady Corosa, your divine hood is but one snap away." Said Dimentio coming close to Corosa. "Ciao!" He snapped his fingers, causing the box to explode many times, and when it stopped, Corosa was gone. "Ahaha! I love doing that! Now, would Iris join for a chance of her beloved?" Dimentio laughed more before he too disappeared.

"Maybe, but I need to discuss that with Darkrai."

(Back to Andrew!)

Andrew woke up, his consciousness finally having been restored. "Urgh… Big headache." Mumbled Andrew, looking up.

(?)

A certain Kecleon Morph looked up. "I wonder how Andrew's doing… is he still like last time?" Asked Marcus as he got up and began his walk. "After all, I don't want to compete for Caelum against a wimp." Marcus vanished, blending in to the background perfectly.

(ooc: Finally! I finally finished! Instead of introducing a new group, since the Enel arc will be closing… eventually. I just decided to bring someone back. And have her join Darkrai's forces. And because he hasn't been used since Cinnabar, Marcus returns… and he'll probably be gone for a long time before being seen again.)

Revival~ i won't let you die on me ;-;...

Konan started at Kalius. The longing for blood going everstronger. She mouthed the word 'blood' and continue to stare at Andrew or Kalius whichever was controllnig the body at the moment. She looked at Andrew and scowled but before she had a chance to reach out and claw Andrews eyes out he collapsed to the ground. Konan snickered and the darkness told her that she wanted her victums alive.

"Konan you have to stop this!" Aetherion AND Lunar Rosa yelled.

"Bloo...d..." Konan whispered to her two alternates.

"KONAN LISTEN TO ME DAMN IT!" Lunar Rosa yelled dragging Konan into mindscape and slamming her against a wall. "Now listen, you can't let him control you!"

"He's right don't listen to him you shouldn't let him control you!" Aetherion yelled. Lunar Rosa had Konan by the thorat.

"Damn that Darkrai.." Lunar Rosa yelled.

"L-lunar Rosa...?" Konan muttered. Aetherion let out a huge deep breath and Lunar Rosa loosened her grip, but then tightened it once again.

"Konan...I can't believe that with your locked memories...you harbored such a power....you need to find you memories..." Lunar Rosa growled as she let Konan down. Konan on her knees and clutching her throat looked at Rosa.

"Damn... Have any reguard for personal space...Jeeze..." Konan snapped.

Konan left her to alternates and came back to her reguler state of mind. She looked around her head throbbing furiously. She had definetly been through a LOT this past few weeks. What else would happen? Everything seemed so gloomy now.. What would happen could they actually complete their mission. And Lila, there was her. She knew of the guardians and..It was all so strange. Oh well, Konan and the others would have time to figure everything out. Lets just hope they don't die along the way.

Chapter 63: Prepare for Invasion!

(Cerulean Gym)

"Alright, maggots! Listen up!" Yelled Dmitri in his Lord's Uniform he stole from Alex. "The ones touched by the goddess are coming soon! We need to begin our preporations immedately!" The Admins nodded absentmindedly, with the exception of Samuel and Kanna. Dmitri walked out to the balcony, seeing a bunch of people outside. All ready to fight back. "Aww, they think they can stand up to us. That's so cute. Lord Darkrai! The slaves are rebelling."

"So you finally got them to rebel? That's good. Now it's time to take control." Said Darkrai in Dmitri's head. Dmitri raised his hand, and shadows engulfed everyone there.

"Hahaha! Can even the legendary heroes cut down this many people? Hahaha!" Laughed Dmitri as every single person there dropped their weapons. "Now, you all are apart of Team Enel. And the task I order to all of you is to eliminate the weapon wielders." The people outside saluted before walking away, to secure the border. "Knight Zeke, prepare the Devil's Machine, and prepare to fight the traitor Yohaku. Knight Samuel, go to your station and do whatever you need to do, target Skye. Knight Kanna, stay here and inform me of when the chosen ones approach the city, target Andrew. Lord Alex, Go down to the main hall, and wait for the heroes, I want you to mostly target Atton. Knight Elisa, fly around and make sure that no one is to flee, target your real self. Knight Alexander, prepare to fight against Iris and Lance. Knight Kevin, remain here and keep Kanna and I company, you'll be targeting Lila and Volkner. Knight Sandra, head with Zeke to the Devil's Machine, target Konan. And Knight Edward, prepare to fight Marcus, because he is coming as well." The Eight Knights and one lord bowed to Dmitri as they scrambled to their positions. Each were powerful in their own way, but Lord Alex... was the strongest. The only human that could fight was the most powerful, other than Dmitri.

"Grand Lord Dmitri." Said Kanna, as Dmitri looked away. He turned to the Sableye morph. "What about my grandson Sharon? He may still be a threat."

"That's impossible. He's dead, rotting inside Konan's mind." Said Dmitri, but Kanna shook her head.

"I'm sorry, but if an invader dies in a person's mindscape, they become a part of them, a lot like Kalius is to Andrew, or Rosa is to Konan." Said Kanna, deep in thought. "That girl must be under a lot of stress. Three other minds, and Darkrai's... approach." Dmitri chuckled at that.

"Relax, I'm sure she's fine." Said Dmitri. "After all, where else will we find amusement? Iris? No, she's too easy. Lance? Possibly. But the others are too strong willed. Konan? She's a broken, multi-souled individual with no past. She's easy, but fun to watch."

"Oh." Said Kanna. "If that's the case, then why not simply jail her?" Dmitri shook his head. "Too easy?"

"Yes." Said Dmitri as he turned towards the window. "Now, let the final game... begin."

(ooc: I can't write anything more for Volkner and Elisa until Umbreongirl posts. And Andrew's unconscious. The Orbital Leo Tribe aren't doing anything important, and the Darkrai cult is too uninteresting at this point. Dimentio and Corosa are with Darkrai, but nothing's really going on with them just yet. Latios and Latias are still in their slumber, so they're out... hmm, who to finish this up with... Ah, Marcus! He'll work.)

Marcus walked through the forests, his eyes scanning the area for attacking pokemon. After all, they have been restless, what with Team Enel, and the loss of the Goddess of Happiness. "Heh, it seems as if the pokemon are afraid of something." Said Marcus. He shrugged before continuing on his trek. Eventually, he emerged from the forest into Saffron City.

"It seems that Enel hasn't taken Saffron over." Said Marcus to himself as he looked to the distance. There were dark clouds far north of Saffron. "That can't be good."

(????)

Sharon is seen floating in a dark void, his body unmoving. Suddenly, in an action he never would have thought would happen... his eyes opened, signifying his awakening. "Wh-where am I?" Asked Sharon. A humanoid shadow appeared out of nowhere and said.

"Welcome back... Goddess touched warrior: Sharon." Said the shadow. It was the little bit of power responsible for the little state she was in. The whisper of Darkrai.

(EDIT: Well, this is the new end. Next post is the interaction between Darkrai and Sharon, and something with Andrew)

Somebody get me through this nightmare... I can't control myself

((Everybody else is doing it, so why can't I? I'm bringing up my own little malicious characters, and because I'm utterly lost in the RolePlay, and I've never had less of an idea of what to do; I'll do what anyone would've done. I'll turn my character into an antagonist. A lethal one, that is. If anyone wants to get rid of a character now, it's a good time :A I'm sorry because the post is so crap for an event so big, but I didn't feel Ok while typing. I've never played a bad guy. xD. Anyone, it should keep me entertained, and he should meet the group soon. What a surprise are they taking. So yeah, anyway, enter Odette.))

Atton was pretty close to Vermilion now, and, knowing this, he dismounted Veil. He walked next to his Pokémon until they were able to see the houses in Vermilion. It had been a quiet trip, and none of the three entities (Gado, Atton and Veil, of course) there had made a sound. Yes, it wasn't a long trek, but it could've been time for Gado to say something to piss off Atton; or at least put him into a state of thinking. Since Atton told him to leave him alone after Gado revealed their ultimate form, Taios, it was like the bestial was strapped down to the ground with duct tape on his lips. But, thinking about it, Atton kinda enjoyed it. Nevertheless, he was almost at Vermilion now. He was standing on top of a hill with a couple of trees, somewhere close to the Diglett Tunnel. Unconsciously, Veil quickened her pace, soon leaving Atton behind. Atton sighed, casually taking his hands to his pockets; but as he was about to continue walking, he felt a strange presence behind him…

Atton turned around suspiciously, and the only thing he could see was two slender arms holding a large dagger, ready to impale him on the neck from above. "Whoa!"Atton yelled as he stretched his left arm, his enormous hand and strength managing to stop both of the opposing hands with ease. "Gah!" The figure yelled as it stomped the heel of its shoe, a knife coming out from the front as it did. It threw a kick aimed at Atton's gut but the male managed to stop it with his other hand. Again, easily; for the creature could in no way sport as much strength as the Leo. Angry, the Leo roared, closing his hands on the opponent's limbs and then throwing it away with noticeable force. The enemy was so slender that it easily flew 20 feet up in the air and another 20 feet in distance. Before it fell, though, it managed to flip itself in the air and land on two feet. There Atton finally got to examine it… Or actually… Examine her.

In front of him stood a female figure, probably around 5'10, with the body of a professional gymnast; a curvy body, but at the same time incredibly slim. She was very light, too, that was why Atton could throw her so far away; and she didn't seem to be very strong, for even though Atton's muscles could be matched by few, he didn't struggle in halting her attacks. She had long, platinum blonde hair that easily reached her mid back, it was perfectly straight, and she had no fringes on her forehead. Translucent green eyes and red lips found their place in her small, pale face. Her ears, however, were the ones of a red fox. She was wearing quite a peculiar outfit, for it seemed like it was specifically designed for what she was doing: killing. It was a silver spandex suit with black details, and it was one piece; meaning it went from neck to toe. It looked like it was very tight, but that didn't stop the figure from being very agile. It seemed, too, that her stiletto boots were part of the suit. She was armed to the teeth, firearms and knifes being evident all over her outfit.

Atton did this complete examination in a matter of seconds, and as soon as he snapped back to his senses, the female stretched her delicate, thin hands to her hips and pulled out two 9mm handguns. An evil smirk was placed on her head as she began to pull the triggers, shooting at quite a fast speed.

"Oh sh—" Atton muttered as he somersaulted sideways, putting himself behind a tree for cover. He could hear the bullets hit the bark, and he saw a number of them fly past through him.

"Dammit!" Atton yelled as she continued to shoot, keeping Atton in the same place. "Who are you?!"

"You will… Know of me later." The female spoke sensually. Atton immediately recognized the voice as the one that had knocked him unconscious not too long ago, before learning about Taios. Infuriated, Atton noticed how she had stopped to reload, and instinctively, he looked around. He grabbed a rock and then sprung out of his cover, throwing the projectile at her and hitting her on the stomach, making her drop both of the guns. Consumed by the will of annihilating, Atton mindlessly rushed at the woman, knowing that one single blow from him would render her unconscious. However, as she saw that Atton was rushing, she smiled. She made a very high jump, one that was, in fact, the same height as Atton. He landed on his shoulders, the heels of her boots almost piercing through Atton's flesh. The Leo yelped as he was brought to his knees while the girl jumped forward, landing on her hands, and the kicked the Leo in the neck twice by spinning on her own head.

She arranged her hair at the time Atton was standing up, and now he could hear another gun cocking. The female had pulled out a sawed-off barrel shotgun, and was now aiming at him. Since he was really close now, though, Atton managed to turn around with a loud roar and slap the gun out of her hands, 12 pellets coming out as he did and shooting a nearby tree. Many Spearow flew out of the treetop as the bullets hit. The female flinched, and Atton saw this as the perfect chance to end this. With a demonic look on his face, muscles contracted, and lion fangs visible, Atton grabbed the girl by the neck with both of his hands and then lifted her from the ground, applying a lot of pressure.

"WHO ARE YOU!?" the Leo roared as the woman went from pale to blue. He didn't realize that his chokehold wouldn't allow her to speak. As soon as he was about to apply more pressure on his thumbs, presumably to kill her, the woman kicked her heels together, the same knife blades coming out again; and then she landed perfect kicks on Atton stomach, both blades successfully penetrating. The Leo yelled in pain as he dropped her and fell on his knees, bleeding. The woman struggled to regain her breath, but as soon as she did, she reached for an object on her back. Atton was sure it was a sword or knife and he was going to die, but no, instead, it was a syringe with a transparent liquid inside.

The female recklessly slammed the needle against Atton's neck, and it was a matter of seconds before his eyes began to blur and his senses were cut. Soon enough, Atton was unconscious.

"Sleep tight… Atton Ignus."

(…)

"But doctor, are you sure that he will be able to handle it?"

"He has too. He was the one with most body mass out of the whole group, and he also seemed to be the most resilient. Not to say it seemed he was of weak spirit. If it succeeds, we will rule the world with him; and if we fail… His death won't keep me up at night, I assure you that."

In a strange room with dim lights, two doctors were operating on Atton. The Leo was face down, his arms and legs being strapped down to the surgical bed we was resting on with chains and locks the size of cereal boxes. They made a large, vertical incision on Atton's neck, and after disinfecting and doing a whole lotta other stuff, they inserted a strange chip-like object the size of a small cracker.

"His vital signs are quickening, and his body doesn't seem to reject it… Presto!"

"Looks like we've created a demon..."

With this, the other doctor pulled out a syringe. It had a sticker with a biological hazard symbol. The doctor smirked.

"We need more than a demon. We're making a god..."

(…)

Sometime, somewhere.

Atton woke up.

"What happened?" the Leo asked to himself, wincing in pain as he rubbed his head and eyes, vision still blurry; but muscles feeling stronger than ever. After a yawn, Atton stretched, feeling… Mechanical. He still wasn't aware of his surroundings. We was too busy noticing how a small number of his ball-and-socket joints felt robotic; like metal rods had been inserted into his body. After a shock, Atton noticed his attire. "Ah!" he yelped as he flinched backwards, for he saw how he was wearing an outfit very similar to the one the female was wearing. The only differences were that this one was completely black, it was made to fit Atton's muscles, hugging them tightly, and it didn't have high-heel boots. It felt funny, like it squeaked every time Atton moved. He also carried no weapons; on his belt, only several vials with a pink liquid inside were found. His skin smelled funny, like several chemicals had been used; and he had numerous scars. Not scars of wars or accidents, but scars that had been professionally made and healed by doctors. After examining himself, Atton looked around at the room. It was a large room with white walls, impeccable except for a speaker box on a corner.

"God… Where am I?" Atton whispered to himself as he heard something. He turned around to see the female from earlier walking in, casually.

"You!" Atton yelled as he ran towards her, hand enclosed in a fist.

"Atton, stand still!" she said without even moving, and as soon as she did this, Atton obeyed.

~What?!~ Atton thought to himself as he tried to move. But he couldn't. He did as obeyed. The female walked over towards Atton and seductively caressed his neck with her hand as she circled around him.

"My name is Odette Ames, fox anthropomorph, and from now on, dear, you shall do as I order." Odette said. "You shall not resist it. You can't. You will just obey."

"Yes ma'am…"

"Now, Atton, turn around and stand still."

Atton, again, did as ordered. He turned around while Odette took cover behind him; and then he saw that one panel on the wall pulled itself back and away, revealing a large Gatling gun with 12 barrels. "Fire." Odette said as the submachine gun began to fire, on bullet per barrel, all connecting with Atton's chest and stomach. Atton stood still, taking the bullets, and while he thought he would die, he noticed that he hadn't even stepped back. Atton looked down at his self and saw that he wasn't even bleeding; yet, the holes of the bullets were there. He was pretty sure, too, that a bullet had punctured his heart. But the chip on his neck was controlling his bodily functions. It commanded the heart to heal itself and to pump less blood while the wounds were open. The gun withdrew and then another long barrel was displayed. This one then shot a long javelin that had a longsword for tip. The spear-like object pierced below Atton's ribcage, but again, he didn't move. Odette then stepped in front of Atton and pulled the projectile out.

"Atton," she began to say, "my people and I have physically enhanced you to turn you into a killing machine. 'Why?' you may ask. Well, we have been tracking you for a while now, and we've come aware that you and a group of people are in search of certain objects. I want you to bring those objects for me. And, Atton, you will kill anything that comes in your way. Capisce?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Perfect. Atton, battle stance."

Atton pushed one foot back to gain more ground, lifting his fists up and preparing for what was to come. He wasn't thinking now. He was only a subject of homicide, and there was nothing he could do about it. The indestructible chip on his neck was connected to several parts of his brain. Not only would removal probably kill him, but resistance would hurt him. Anyway, the barrel from where the javelin came from disappeared, and then, out of the blank, 3 bowling balls were shot at him at the speed of a bullet.

"Hah!" Atton yelped as he threw a punch forward. Not only did he stop the metal sphere; he smashed it into little pieces. And his knuckles didn't even hurt. He did the same with the other 2 balls.

"Everything's working out as planned. Now, Atton, stand still. This is the final part of the test. And it'll ensure nothing can stop you."

The largest panel in the wall then opened, and one large gun came out. Atton didn't move, nor did he even feel the still fresh wounds from the bullets and javelin. Again, they weren't bleeding, however. The first things to come out were large icicle spears. Three of them hit Atton, one in the shoulder, one on the leg, and the other one near a shin. The temperature of the room suddenly dropped, and the goal was now obvious. They were trying to simulate a fight against ice. Atton clenched his fists, oblivious to the temperature, and raised his body heat so quickly that the icicles piercing him melted. After this happened, the temperature was then elevated; and fireballs were shot. Atton was wildly hit by them, and a couple of millimeters of his skin were peeled off. But he just stood there, like nothing had happened. Oh, and so it went on with each of the elements. Fans that simulated air cutters strong enough to cut him in half left the scratch of a paper cut, and the most poisonous thorns in the world didn't even make him dizzy.

Atton had resisted the strongest attacks of the elements with firearm wounds open and he didn't flinch. Atton was invincible. After this, Odette walked over to Atton again, and now she grabbed one of the vials on his belt. "Atton, you might have noticed that you didn't take any damage. But the wounds are there and open. Take this." she said as he made him drink the contents. In less than 10 seconds, his wounds were closed, and any remains of foreign objects inside his body, namely the bullets, were dissolved in corporal acid. The chip then ordered the heart to pump more blood than usual to regain the lost blood. "Your body," she proceeded, "will regenerate in come minutes. But if you need quick remedy, take these potions."

"Yes ma'am."

From the ground, a strange pod came up all of a sudden, and because Odette commanded, Atton got it. It had a cylindrical shape and had cushion inside. The glass door on the pod was closed. "From now on, I shall communicate with you through radio. You will hear me in your head because of the chip. I might sometimes come out to give you new vials, or I will send some of my people. Now, go, Atton Ignus, find those weapons."

Atton nodded.

Odette walked out of the room and the one panel on the ceiling was opened. The pod was propelled upwards like a rocket, reaching an unbearable speed whose heat and pressure would've crushed anyone. But not Atton. Not now. After at least 10 minutes of travel inside that device, the pod abruptly landed on Route 6. Right below Saffron, and above Vermilion. Atton broke the glass with a punch and then stepped out, cracking his knuckles. No, he wasn't possessed, he wasn't under some sort of spell. He was bloodthirsty. And nothing was going to stop him from getting what he wanted.

Chapter 64: Whispers of Darkrai

(????)

"The goddess' toy has regained his consciousness. It seems as though something brought you back. The goddess Aetherion." Said Darkrai as he looked at Sharon. "But it doesn't matter. Your sight is imperfect." Sharon backed up, his diamond eyes filled with fear. The lord of nightmares was intimidating, and his power... god-like, and this was his shadow.

"Ahaha! Everything is but toys to us." Said Dimentio as he warped in. "Your fear is natural, and justified. Even I get shivers in front of him." Darkrai's head turned to Dimentio.

"So you're finally here, eh? Good, now we may begin." Said Darkrai. Sharon tried to look into the future, but found that he couldn't.

"You... I won't join you." Said Sharon as he got ready to fight. He had no chance against the beings before him, but he would go down fighting. "And I will take you two down, even if it means my death! It's what the Goddess would want for me!" Both Darkrai and Dimentio began to laugh.

"Ah, you have no clue of what you're babbling about. Your state right now is like a confused toddler, babbling and incoherent." Said Dimentio before tossing some sort of blast, knocking Sharon back quite a ways. "But I see you do not wish to join. So I shall finish you off here and now. Cry like the coward you are. For the Lord of Nightmares will kill you."

"Silence, Dimentio! We shall make our departure. Return to the Hall of Origin. I understand you have brought in a new... partner." Said Darkrai. Dimentio laughed before warping away. "Now, you are trapped in Konan's subconscious, none of her souls even know of your remaining existance, and won't be able to find out... You'll never be heard of again." Sharon, in a fit of panic, ran towards Darkrai, but he disappeared... gone somewhere in Konan's subconscious.

(Volkner)

Volkner sighed as his head hit the pillow. He stared at the ceiling, as there was nothing else to do. The TV was off line, due to the Shadow bubble he made earlier, and the magazines were boring. Elisa looked at Volkner, unsure of what to do. The man was refusing to talk anymore.

'Voooolkner.' Whispered a voice. The Gym Leader sat up quickly and looked around.

"Elisa, right?" Asked Volkner. The falcon morph nodded, saying nothing, as Volkner continued. "Get out of here. Something's going to happen, and I don't want you in here when it does."

"Wh-what? what's going on?" Asked Elisa, confused. Volkner looked around before responding.

"I don't know. But you need to get out of h-" Stated Volkner before the room turned dark. Both people were shocked to see the darkness, but only Volkner could see the being in the center. "Too late."

"Aah, it seems that you can still see me. Quite impressive for a human." Said Darkrai, the voice being heard by both Elisa and Volkner. He looked at Elisa before saying. "Is your leader here? I need to talk to him." Volkner got out of the bed and grabbed a magazine. "Oh no! I'm sooo scared! The mighty Volkner has a Pokemon Weekly magazine!" He threw the small booklet, but it never made it to the shadow.

"Elisa... run." Said Volkner as Darkrai's eyes glowed purple. The next moment, Volkner was asleep, having had Dark Void performed on him.

"Volkner!" Yelled Elisa as she got out of the bed. Hearing where the sound came from, and seeing slight distortions normally unseeable. (That and she used Foresight, finally.) She got up to Darkrai and punched him in the face.

"Ah! That wasn't very nice. Now, I wonder what will happen if I make you live out your fears... let's find out." Said Darkrai as his eyes glowed yellow. Elisa grabbed her head before falling to the ground, unconscious. "Heh, one less Falcon. Given another chance, and you died before you got out." Darkrai warped away, having planted metaphoric seeds of... something in their subconscious.

(Andrew)

Andrew slowly got up, his head in incredible pain. He looked up and saw that Konan had calmed down from her rage earlier. "Konan? What happened?" Asked Andrew, looking around. His eyes landed on Solar's frozen head. "Y-you killed Solar? What the hell just happened?" Andrew looked around, in case there was something else, or just in case Kalius would begin to speak.

(ooc: It's not very good, but oh well.

Konan wandered through Vermillion anxiously wondering...waiting. She had lost Skye when she had zonked out and Atton... Lila..where were they?

"Miss Konan it seems we've found you. You've had us worried for quite sometime." A male looked at her along with the rest of the group. Iris, Lance, Yohaku, Yuki, Skye. There were only three people missing. Lila, Atton and Andrew. The jackal smiled warmly at her as Konan ran torwards the group.

"We've discovered quiet a few things whiel you were off having your little aventure." Yuki scoffed. Konan looked at her confused.

"Y-You have?"

"Yes!~ Yes~" Iris squeeked and ran to Konan clasping her hands. A warm smile on her face.

"It seems the girl you met at the supermarket.. Lila.. is more then she appears to be. Although we aren't quite sure what she is yet. We are sure of one thing. She IS one of us." Yuki said in a cold harsh tone.

"And we've figured out our weapons and why we have them!" Iris squeeked once more. "I'm Arbor Knuckle of the forest because I'm te forest element and I can pack quite a punch!" Iris smiled as her knuckle appeared and Konan could have sworn she saw an outline of the legendary celebi above Irises head.

"I'm Incideia. Axes of the fire." Lance told her and two gold and red marking axes with flames on them appeared. "I have them because i am a fire element and can withstand extreme heat." Again Konan could swere she saw an outline of Moltres above Lances head.

"I am Aqua. Bow of the water." Yohaku said. "I am this because my clan usually specializes in water elements, and I usually have a calm, serene personality but can become violent when angered" Konan saw the outline of Kyogre above Yohaku's head.

"I am Letum. Wand of the Dead. I am this way because the ookami clan has always specialized in necromancy and the dark arts. It fits my personality because I sometimnes wish people were dead..." Yuki smirked. Konan saw the outline of Giratina on Yuki.

"Skye is the Staff of Spirits. We do not know why this is but only he can confirm this."

"Andrew is Caelum. Sword of the Sky. Its quite fitting considering his element is air and he is the last of the falcon tribe." Yohaku said.

"You lady Konan. Are Nivosus. The stick of ice. You are of the neko tribe. The various neko tribes have always been infamous for their ice powers. Ice is appropriate for you because we think the ice represents your memories that are frozen over and are waiting to be melted." Yohaku smiled. Konan could feel the outline of a Lugia it was stirring inside her and it felt icey and cold yet so warm and familiar.

"Finally Atton, Tonare is the daggers of thunders. It is well believe that his clan specialized in the thunder element. Although we have yet to prove it." Yohaku finished.

"How does Lila fit into this though..?" Konan asked. A frown formed upon Yuki's face.

"We do not know." Yuki smirked. "But there IS something that binds us to her."

"We believe the next weapon, my weapon is located in Cerulean. Yuki's in Lavender. possibly as well as Skye's.. Unfortunetly Andrew..I have no idea. We believe the sword of the sky is actually..IN THE SKY. Yours lady Konan may be in the Seafoam islands. And Andrews may be in the powerplant. Quite a difficult journey ahead of us considering everything thats going on the moment. Our first place to go is Cerulean, team Enel will most likely be waiting for our arrival. So we've got to plan this out carefully.

"Right..." Konan whispered.

"Our first priority. To grab Atton, Lila, Skye, and Atton." Yohaku told the group. "Split up and find them they are more then likely around here somewhere...I have a bad feeling about Atton though.." Yohaku muttered the last part under his breath.

And with that. They split up.Determined to look for their missing comrades.

Chapter 65: In Blackest Night (Part 1): Andrew and Alex vs. Dimentio!

Andrew is seen wandering around near the hospital. There was no one around it seemed, as he hasn't run into anyone. Suddenly, Alex popped out of his pokeball, surprising Andrew. "Well, it's great to be out of there." Said Alex as he stretched.

"Hey Alex, are you okay?" Asked Andrew. Alex nodded.

"Actually, I feel better than before, why?" Asked Alex. "Oh, you still think I got badly hurt during the battle? Well, I was only exhausted."

"Oh, hey... is it me, or is the area around us starting to move?" Asked Andrew. The air around the two started to distort. "Wh-who's there!?"

"Like the jingle of bells, I come with grace!" Said Dimentio as he warped in. Andrew and Alex both got in a position to fight. "Ah, so you think you can take me on? Clearly you do not know who you are dealing with." Dimentio landed on the ground before bowing. "I am the master of dimensions, pleaser of crowds, and local magician for Lord Darkrai's forces. I am Dimentio."

"So? I fought and nearly killed Gohma." Said Andrew as he got ready to fight. "A being of god-like power. What makes you think you can beat me?" Dimentio giggled as he flew back into the air.

"I am a being with power far greater than any of the guardians. I can fight you with only... 30%, and crush you like an elephant crushes a mongoose." Said Dimentio as he blasted a ball of ice at Andrew, who flew up into the air to avoid it. "Fast you are, but it means nothing to me." Dimentio disappeared at that before re-appearing behind Andrew. "Who can teleport." Andrew looked back before flying away, distancing himself from the jester. "Run away like the little swallow you are, but no matter where you go-" Dimentio disappeared before reappearing in front of Andrew. "I will catch you." Before Dimentio could strike, Andrew punched him in his mask, knocking him back a little.

"Aerial combat won't work here. Dimentio is fast. I have to get back to the ground." Said Andrew before getting kicked in the head by a Dimentio. As soon as he regained focus, he saw not one, not two, but eight Dimentios.

"Ahahaha!" Laughed the Dimentios, all in unison. "I can bend space and time to fit my will! You can't defeat me!" Each of the Dimentios fired an attack, one which each elemental weapon possess. Forest, Fire, Water, Death, Spirit, Sky, Ice, and Electric. Andrew tried to dodge them all, and was surprised when only Forest actually hurt.

"Wait a minute." Said Andrew. "You can make illusions. Wow, that's not that cool a power." Andrew flew over to Dimentio and rammed into him... only to find out that it was fake.

"Look who's talking, bird boy." Said Dimentio as he looked down, noticing that Andrew was landing. "So you want to fight on the ground, eh? Well, I'll be happy to oblige." Dimentio looked up and before he could move, he was struck by a bolt of lightning. "Ah!" The illusions disappeared. "That hurt a little."

"That guy stood up to a Thunder at full power, and it hurt a little?" Asked Alex. "That attack beat Volkner!"

"He was a pawn, I am a like a Bishop." Said Dimentio as he landed. "And now it's time to kill you." Dimentio fired an attack mixed with all elements. Andrew and Alex both dodged, the latter firing a Thunderbolt at Dimentio, who deflected the strike.

"Take this!" Yelled Andrew as he flew towards Dimentio, who just surrounded himself with magical energy, causing Andrew to fly into the magical box. "Ow..." Dimentio dismissed the box before shooting a blast of Water at him, knocking him back quite far, and weighing his wings down to the point where he couldn't fly.

"You forgot about me!" Yelled Alex as he shot another Thunder, this time at point-blank range.

"AAAAAHHHHH!" Screamed Dimentio as he flew back. He quickly regained his focus and landed before getting punched back to the ground once again. Andrew jumped back as Dimentio got up. "Grr... that actually hurt. Too bad you can't do much more than that. I mean, I'm only running on thirty percent here. What would happen if I went up to forty or fifty?"

"I won't let you." Said Andrew before transforming into his Propero state.

"Neither will I." Said Alex as he zipped up towards Dimentio. "Thunder!" Dimentio rose a shield before Alex's lightning hit him, effectively shielding himself, but what he didn't expect was Andrew, flying at him much faster than before. Dimentio had no time to put up a barrier in his shock before getting slammed into.

"Wind Barrage!" Yelled Andrew before firing a rather powerful gust, knocking Dimentio into a light pole. Dimentio regained his composure, but was then assaulted with more wind gusts then before, leading up to a rather strong gut punch, knocking him back, but not really showing any signs of doing much damage.

Dimentio glared at Andrew before shooting spheres of darkness at Andrew, who was able to avoid them. "Too slow!" Yelled Andrew. Dimentio growled, but before he could shoot a ball of electricity, he got struck by another Thunderbolt.

"Where is that dog!?" Yelled Dimentio as he looked around. "I know he's here somewhere!" The next thing Dimentio knew was pain in his hand. He looked down and saw Alex, biting him. "There you are! Now get off!" Dimentio began to shake his hand in an attempt to shake Alex off, but he was holding on too tight.

"Let go, Alex!" Yelled Andrew as he ran in. Alex let go just in time for Andrew to punch Dimentio in the mask once more, however, this time he was sent flying back by another gust of wind. "Mach Punch!" Andrew flew towards Dimentio, his wings having dried off, and he punched the jester, actually cracking his mask.

"Enough!" Yelled Dimentio as he sent out a shockwave, knocking Andrew into the sidewalk. Fortunately, the people below have evacuated earlier when the two began fighting. "You are starting to get on my nerves, like an energetic fly. That's what you are."

"Heh, I would choose your words more carefully." Said Andrew as Alex landed on Dimentio's head. "Or you will get in trouble with someone."

"Take this!" Yelled Alex, blasting Dimentio with yet another Thunder, knocking the jester into the ground.

"Graah!" Exclaimed Dimentio as he struggled to get up. "M-my limbs are locked into place, I can barely move!"

"Yes, he got paralyzed!" Exclaimed Andrew, but Dimentio disappeared, reappearing in the air momentarily, free of his paralysis.

"Ah, that was annoying, but now I'm back to normal." Said Dimentio as he began to charge another elemental blast. "And now you will die! With one less weapon candidate out of the way, our master will have an easier time with filling the world with sorrow, and getting rid of all of those who were touched by the Goddess." As he prepared to shoot the attack, a neko girl appeared out of nowhere. "What?"

"Dimentio! What are you doing!? You were ordered to keep an eye on Team Enel!" Exclaimed the neko girl.

"Ah, Corosa... So you are awake? Well, Darkrai's Shadow is finished with its job, and has gone somewhere... I'm not sure which Temple it guards." Said Dimentio, looking at the ex-Enel admin. "But it doesn't matter. Just let me finish this up."

"Do not disobey the words of your Goddess!" Yelled Corosa. Dimentio rolled his eyes.

"You only came back from the dead." Said Dimentio. "We can't make you a goddess in one day. It takes months. You must wait, like wine does to gain flavor."

"What's going on?" Asked both Alex and Andrew. Corosa, actually noticing them, turned around.

"Ah, so you are here, eh Andrew? Well, tell Kalius that the next time we meet, I will kill him. Tell him that Corosa DeBlanco is alive again!" Said Corosa before teleporting away.

"It seems as though I must go." Said Dimentio. "We will meet again. Ciao!" Dimentio then teleported away.

"We got lucky, didn't we?" Asked Alex. Andrew nodded as he detransformed.

(ooc: That's the end of Part 1. Woohoo, Part 2 will come... eventually.)

I lost my fear of falling..

Standing just outside the door, sealed shut matter of factly, contemplating flinging it open, or subtly sliding in and then beginning her campaign to recruit Elisa at least for the celestial journey she wasn't even sure she herself was invited on yet, Lila tentatively elevated a fingernail to chapped lips as if to nervously begin gnawing at it.

"Thop it, you sillly gooth. You'll ruin your cuticles." Bane interrupted her nervous intentions absentmindedly. She had only been vaguely aware of his presence since he had informed her that the room she sought out was only a mere few feet away from her. Lavendar eyes rushing to Bane, she wordlessly poised the same finger she had been set to chomp seconds before over colorless lips.

"Can you just give me a few seconds? I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about this without making a complete babbling idiot of myself. And unless you can give me some meaningful insigh of how to explain to this girl that we need her, though she isn't in fact a weapon wielder, nor am I, without sounding like a stark raving mad lunatic, then i'm going to be forced to recall you."

At this, dropping his formal playful charade, Neon eyes flashing a flare of outrage as a bony hand wrapped itself around Bane's thin waistline, he leaned in, and down, craning his neck so as to stick his face in that of Lila's, eyes shifting tempestuously, distorting from the neutral yellow they had been before, to the traditional blood-infused irises of an Umbreon morph, and finally to a seething, brooding orange, pallid lips twisting into a displeased frown.

"Now listen here, missy. You and I had a deal, remember that? And i'll be the ass-end of a Tauros before I let you go back on your word."

"Oh yeah? Are you under the impression that all Pokemon belonging to their masters have a regular say in how often or not they traipse around, nosing into business that isn't their own?" Lila snapped back, her trembling nerves finally getting the best of her, and following the sigh, a dull throbbing, beginning at the base of her brain, and escalating evenly to include her temple. Pressing a hand tiredly to the side of her head, Lila instead switched to a different tactic.

"Bane, surely you're the most aware that before today, and for the past two months of my existence, I have been, quite frankly, a social hermit. I haven't even been outside the neighborhood since I got there, and so my diplomacy skills are rather lacking. The situation will only be made infitisimally more stressful if I let you in on this, so-"

"Yeah, yeah." Bane dismissed her thoughts in a dreary tone of voice.

"Now i'm just waiting for you to shut up, and cut to the chase. I know any second now you're going to beam me up with that glaring red ray of death, and so we might as well get on with it. Daylight's a'burning here, and if i'm inevitably going to be shoved into that dark hole again, might as well be now. I'm hankering for a nap."

A slow smile sprawling across her features, secretly grateful that her companion would harbor no ill will against her for doing this, before the moody Shuppet could change his mind, Lila rituistically dug around for Bane's Pokeball in her pocket, fumbling with the button before aiming the sphere at the Pokemon disguised as morph, to the astonished expressions, and glares, of the various nurses, doctors, and attendents shuffling through the hospital corridor.

"Bane, return." Lila ordered, to which Bane, put off by her one of authority, leered at her.

"Lila, suck on it." He responded curtly, before flipping her his trademark gesture of endearing good will and affection, temporarily fading into transparency, and then fading altogether. For a long moment, the corridor was quiet, only the distant shuffling of papers, and the usual jabber of keyboards and voices on telephones reminding Lila that she was still conscious. Drawing in a deep breath, and straightening her jacket, Lila slowly pulled open the thick wooden body of the door.

The room was dark, but not so dark that Lila's weak human eyes couldn't see various shapes and shadows taking form, one particularly sinister shadow, hovering maliciously in the center of the room, as if to draw all the surrounding life into himself, loomed above the little human girl. Letting out a piercing shriek, Lila immediately turned tail to flee, but upon jarring the metallic device that would trigger the door's release, found tht classically, the door wouldn't open. Staring out the foggy pane desperately, Lila's lilac eyes scoured the outside corridor hopefully, silently begging, pleading, anyone to see her signs of distress, and pull her from this nightmare.

The feeling of foreboding, the tingling, chilling gut-wrenching sensation of dread flooded into Lila, probing her, searching her, sfiting through individual thoughts, and memories of her own, all the while a low, throaty chuckling, beginning as a low snicker, but soon accelerating into a booming laugh, ripped her to face the dark entity with terror-stricken features. Backing up as far as humanly possible from Darkrai, Lila blindly glanced around the room, unable to deter anything, not a single bed, or lamp, or clock, or even the two former inhabitants of the room, Volkner and Elisa. It was as if Darkrai had mutated this room into an alternate dimension, and the door Lila had stood just outside of so apprehensively was with good reason. Who could've known, or possibly warned her, that the second she would peel open the forbidden door, the former room would now be a deformed, warped dimension, the likes of which she could easily be trapped inside forever.

"Lila..." The sinister voice hissed alluringly, though Lila knew as well as anyone that this seductive taunt was a mocking one, one intended not for sexiness and wooing, but for a gloating creature, a patient feline who finally knew that the little mouse he had sought for so long was in his clutches. He had her cornered, and pressing herself desperately against the wooden frame of the door, Lila could only squeeze her eyes shut and push him away with her mind.

"I'm sure you're aware that this all ends now, don't you? It all ends with you, my puppet, for without you, there is no Goddess. The others were late in realizing that you are their beloved Goddess' reincarnation, and that their true mission, their secret mission, aside from snagging the weapons that would reconstruct your heart, was to guard, and to wield, you. Once you die, the world dies, and will be plunged into an eternal realm of darkness!"

These words spoken, Lila's fear suddenly diminished, and finding herself standing just a little straighter, her paralysis brought on by the beast yielding to undeniable courage, gritting her teeth against the putrid rank waves of rotting flesh and stale, suffocating plague that Darkrai was emitting, wordlessly shut her eyes, honing in on something, on herself.. Or a foreign part of herself, rather. An inner consciousness that was hers, but wasn't.. And strangely, no longer seemed to exist, and felt like just the echo of a dream that had been before Lila had emerged, the echo of a voice, and echo of the Goddess whom Lila had descended from, reminiscent of a time where all had been balanced, the Goddess herself absent, having been ripped away from Lila, but all her power, all her strength, thought to be contained only in the gilded weapons falling from the sky, theother half of that power now arousing in Lila herself.

"Has the thought of brushing your teeth once in awhile crossed your mind?" Lila spoke, and after this, smirked. Darkrai's own sickeningly sweet smile faded, and now, suspiciously drawing closer to Lila, his eyes widened, realizing what was happening. He dealt out a quick dark void, intending to consume and smother the girl before she could break what was inside of her, his strategy including a quick death now, rather than the drawn out torture and paralyzing dear-inspired illusions he had planned to create, but with a wave of her hand, somber lilac irises closing momentarily only to open, and reveal the determined liquid gold ones, ones that chilled the Lord Darkrai to his bone as they searched him, him being the one exposed, the one vulnerable to Lila now, and as Lila took one step towards him, found himself retreating against the wall.

Infuriated that anyone, a human at that could unsettle him so easily, Darkrai boldly fire another Dark Void, as it hit Lila, this only serving to unleash the elemental power that had been brooding inside her, pressurizing against the surface, waiting for the opportune moment to explode. And this was that moment. As Lila became engulfed in darkness, she smiled sweetly. Behind Darkrai, the glass of the windows shattered violently, exploding into his back, as various vines snaked in, colossal vines, several feet thick in diamete, mammoth vines stretching a good forty feet from the ground, and into this designated window, snaking themselves around the shady form of Darkrai, but only before morphing to reveal the dagger-like curved blades of thorns. Wincing in minor pain, but easily shaking himself free of the vines, irritably, Darkrai, the master of illusions, brought out eight perfect clones of each of the elemental warriors, exact replicas of the Goddess-touched warriors, all having the same common theme: being horribly maimed and mutilated.

Easily dispelling the illusions as exactly that with the assistance of Caelum's Foresight, Lila now raised a fist, openining it to reveal several gales of blistering, frigid wind, the occaisional dagger of ice jetting out, to swallow Darkrai up, as he had done with the Dark Void, and to carry him ruthlessly out the same shattered window the vines had wormed their way into, driving him mercilessly into the ground, where he then was frozen over, into a fragile encasement of ice. Wrathful features frozen comically in time on the black pavement of the city street, several people strolling past, noticing the frozen Lord, came up to poke at the surface of the ice, peering through the frosty pane of the ice's outer shell, examining the dark creature inside before the ice was shattered, and in a fury, a seething Darkrai emerged, snarling at the gathered people before vanishing, warping himself back up to the hospital room, where again, he tried to affront a Lila, who simply stood, eerily still, anticipating him all along. As he staggered towards her, obviously weakened, but still retaining the majority of his power, opted for a more physical solution, aiming an effective punch to the face of Lila. Deflecting this punch with a barrier of light, inspired from the Staff of the Spirits, Lila then focused this sudden flash of light on Elisa, who Lila, in her borrowed Foresight, had been able to depict lying on the floor, draped in unconsciousness.

Lending her the energy of the Spirits, Lila watched as the light flooded into her, clearing the poor Falcon tribe member of whatever nightmare she had been suffering under Darkrai's cruel hand, and smiling in relief as Elisa's facial features relaxed, her mouth loosening into a thoughtful smile, instead, dreamt images of restoring the Falcon race, and again roaming the face of the earth in vast numbers, Elisa at the head of them, penetrating her mind, and lulling her into a deeper, more peaceful sleep. Turning her attention back to Darkrai, Lila's eyes narrowed as a powerful, vindictive bolt of lightning jetted from the sky, directly into Darkrai, sending fluid jolts of natural energy, thousands and thousands of volts through him, electrocuting him, until his rank odor was disguised by a new one, a satisfactory scent of barbequed Darkrai. Dragging himself, blackened and charred, from the spot, Darkrai struggled to lift an arm, determined to land a blow to the waiting Lila, who stood, completely stilled, golden eyes looking down on him in disgust, seething with disappointment, and judgment, soon after, the doorknob beginning to rattle violently.

Darkrai, distracted by the sudden interruption, turned in disbelief that anyone would be foolish enough to interrupt a battle such as this one, between the Goddess of Happiness herself, and of the Lord of Darkness himself, surveying Lila's placid expression in confusion, before the wood of the door splintered all together to reveal a legion of living corpses, all of them fresh from the hospital underground, unfortunate patients who hadn't triumphed accidents, or natural diseases. The zombies, posessed by Lila, spoke not a single word, and made not a peep, leering dangerously at the Lord, staggering, directed by Lila, now the mistress of the dead, who stood among them, arms crossed, a smug smile emerging on her face. Her eyes were dancing in excitement, as she pointed decisively to an unprepared Darkrai, who was then at the mercy of the army of the undead, many of which had harbored fear for Darkrai in their previous lives, this fear transpiring into hate, as only too happy to comply, they took their opportunity to beat, clobber, and pummel the Lord to their heart's content. After a couple minutes of attempting to fight his way through the crowd of fifty or so deceased, finally ending their undead reign in a powerful blast of Dark Void, thoroughly exhausted, and on the verge of defeat now, Darkrai, drawing himself up in the shadows, attempted to vanish within them.

Realizing his intentions of fleeing, Lila only shook her head, outstretching an arm, letting her head fall, fatigue shining in her golden eyes as she expended the last of her energy, this time a searing flame springing up out of nowhere, as if following a stream of gasoline, making a beeline for Darkrai. As if they were the flames of trinity, the inferno esily sprang up, until they were flames of a good ten feet high, grazing the ceiling, and charring the white plaster there a somky black. The flames, Lila's final verdict, dispersed every last shadow, lighting the room up brilliantly, the darkness created earlier by Darkrai easily dispelled. Crimson eyes bulging wide in terror, and on the verge of being consumed in the heavenly flame, Darkrai, aiming a glare infused with fear and hatred at Lila, spat at her.

"May you perish in the flame, human. And after your demise, may my new world be filled with so much more pain and darkness than it would've been had you never interfered!"

And with that, he vanished, nearly bested by the human girl, but not quite. Lila, however, after expending such a huge gush of energy uncustomary to herself, and already fatigued by the day's demanding events, collapsed to the ground, coughing violently for the time it took her to hit the floor, and surrounded in her own raw and mighty power, blacked out, Lilac eyes swimming in tears that her only destiny was, after all, had come to an unglamorous and tragic end, to perish, her efforts to save and protect every Goddess touched warrior she had unintentionally created to gone unnoticed, which may just have been for the best, for to die accidentally in a fire would be so much less upsetting to the others than knowing that Lila, had in fact, perished trying to save them all. In trying to end Darkrai, she had ended herself, and missed him completely.

As Lila's unconscious body finally dropped to the floor, Bane's Pokeball rolled from her pocket, ambling slowly to a gradual stop, the Pokeball itself shaking violently, as Bane struggled to break free, fully aware of what was going on, but from his position, just as trapped as Lila, and unable to do a thing about it.

"Excuse me, sir; you can't go through without proper identification."

Fearless. Reckless. Atton hadn't looked back since his pod landed. A few teenagers had past him, giving him an estranged look; but the bold Leo in the ridiculous outfit didn't mind their existence. His eyes were set in the checkpoint right in front of him. If he went through that small building, one which presumably had a guard inside, he would be on Route 5, and Cerulean would be minutes away. Once he was inside, he expected to receive Intel on where the item he was looking for would be. Cerulean wasn't that big or important of a city, though; and spots were scarce. Hidden somewhere inside the Gym, on Cerulean Cave, or somewhere near Cerulean Cape were probably the only places where a divine object could be hidden. Atton tried to ponder for some seconds, but he wasn't allowed to do so. That bloody chip forced his feet to continue moving, closer to the destination and blurring his mind. Soon enough, he was in front of the door of the structure, and Atton's instinct told him to leap through the trees on the sides to avoid the guard. The foliage was really dense and troublesome, but being a feline, Atton would've no problems. In any case, he didn't do so, and instead, just walked right in.

The guard inside spoke, but Atton ignored him. Instead, he proceeded to walk, but had to stop once the guard spoke again.

"Sir, step back, now! You're not allowed to go through without proper identification!"

The guard yelled loudly, fear eminent in his voice.

"Proper ID?" Atton asked as he took a small step back so he was right in front of the guard. He didn't look at him, but instead just turned his head to a side slightly and stared at him through the corner of his eye. The guard was shivering. He tried to discretely take his hand to the holster on his side to pull out his gone, but his nervousness made every single one of his moves clumsy and noticeable. He couldn't grab it, though, and his pupils shrank in fear as he saw what was coming.

"IS THIS GOOD ENOUGH!?" Atton yelled viciously as he swung his open hand to the guards face. The male let out one small yelp before Atton's hand went through his face. Yes, the vicious Leo had punctured his face, and his claws weren't even fully out. The hand, or better yet, arm, went so deep through that Atton's elbow was where his throat began, and he could easily see more than 3/4ths of his forearm from behind the guard's head. Pieces of skull and brain were dropping to the ground both from the front and the back. Forcefully, Atton withdrew his arm, bringing the brain out with it. The grey matter fell right on top of the counter, and then the body of the guard fell right next to it, horribly stained in blood. Atton's hand –the only part of his arm that wasn't kept inside his warrior suit– was wet with blood, but the rest of his limb wasn't. Apparently, his suit was liquid proof. Drops just slipped down.

"Access granted." Atton smirked as he continued to go forward. Once he was out and the rays of the sun hit him once again, he looked around and noticed the Day Care man playing with some baby Pokémon in his front yard. Atton exchanged glances with him, furious looks being shot from both sides. Something rather suspicious happened then, because the man took the collar of his coat closer to his mouth and murmured something as if he had spoken through a microphone or radio. Before Atton could do anything else, the man hurried inside his house and –presumably– locked his door.

"Atton," Odette spoke through Atton's chip, "what the hell was that, dear?"

"What the hell was what?"

"You're not meant to be funny, Atton. That guard right there, you could've just killed him without saying a word. Yes, he's dead, but what if was carrying some sort of radio or microphone that captured your voice? We don't want the whole army on you."

"You said I was invincible."

"I'm not taking any chances."

Saying nothing else, Atton continued to walk forward, a slow but threatening pace. He examined his surroundings, making sure and thread that could be around was exterminated before it would actually get in his way. As he walked, a stinging pain hit his stomach, and the Leo was brought to his knees. A voice spoke inside of him, a voice that urged him to back to Vermilion. The voice said something was wrong. Someone needed his help. A very dark presence was around. He had felt this few times before, and each time it had been something really serious. Fretting, the Leo stood up in a rush and turned around, his massive calves protruding as he prepared to start a crazy sprint back. As soon as he gave one single step, however, a jolt of electricity flooded his body, and Atton fell flat on his back. His insides were burning.

"Atton, what exactly are you doing?"

"I want to go back. I need to get back to Vermilion, something's not Ok."

Odette laughed kindly, sincerely amused at Atton's remark. The evil and seductiveness in her voice was far from gone, though.

"Oh, Atton, foolish Atton. You're not going back. We have to get to Cerulean before those pesky people you traveled with get there. They will be an encumbrance…"

"They are no threat." Atton said coldly, reminiscing how elemental objects where thrown at him and remembering what Odette said back at the… Laboratory facility Atton woke up just a short while ago.

"Dammit, Atton, I said we're not taking a risk! Get your ass off the ground and get to Cerulean city, stat!"

"Yes… Yes ma'am, I will."

Without further do, Atton stood up, dusting his suit off and continuing his way north. Cerulean was just a minute or two away, the city outline was now on Atton's eyes, and nothing would stop him from getting… Whatever he was supposed to get.

"So...thats...the Goddess?" Konan whimpered a little bit as she saw the picture in the book Yuki had taken out. The picture was of a beautiful women. Who was smiling gently, and holding a gentle ball of light in her hands. Her hairs was golden and very long. Her eyes were gold, and her skin very white. The dress was long and golden, she was in the hall of origin watching over the happiness of the world.

"Artists assume this is what the supposed Goddess of Happiness would look like" tiny writing under the picture said.

"Hau..hau...She's beautiful!" Konan exclaimed.

"We looked over it while you were gone...and we said we didn't know what Lila was to us....looking at this picture..who does it remind you of?" Yohaku's face turned serious. Konan stared at the picture.

"L-Lila?!" Konan squeaked.

"Exactly." Yuki intervened.

A jolt of shock went through her, was Lila a..goddess? No, that can't be right, it can't be Lila. Its just a concidence... There was no real similarities between Lila and the goddess. The only thing that resembled anything close to the two was the aura they both had, and Konan wasn't a Lucario..It was just a concidence.

"Guy....do you feel something...strange?" Iris broke the silence.

"I feel it..." Lance agreed.

"....." Yuki had nothing to say while Yohaku sweatdropped and said "She agrees and so do I. Theres something wrong." Yohaku said. The distinct stench of smoke in the air.

"A fire!" Lance yelled and outstretched his charizard wings. "I'll go check it out!" Lance yeleld and with that in a big whoosh of wind he took off flying torwards the smokes.

"Oi, Lance you jerk wait for us!" Iris yelped and ran after him. Konan following and by instinct the rest of the group following they came across a burning abandoned house. Lance was looking at the burning buildings second floor. "Guys Lila's on the second floor!" Lance yelled.

"What?!" Konan yelped and ran torwards the closet door.

"Miss Konan!" Yohaku stepped in front of her. "Miss Konan please wait we need to think before we go in there!"

"But Lila!" Konan yelled.

"If you both lost your lives then that wouldn't do any good we need to THINK!" Yohaku calmed her. Lance landed firmly next to the group.

"Its fire if we open any doors, that will cause a flashover! That could cause the building to collapse. We need to work together. That idito Atton isn't here when we need him."

"I'm here...sorry I'm late...ehehe..." Skye sweatdropped.

"Right on time Skye, we need as much help as we can get." Lance smiled. Skye sweatdropped, thescratches on his body stopped bleeding but were clearly visible. "I being a fire type can get through this easily, but the risk of a flashover, and the building collapsing is to great for me to go in on my own."

Just as suddenly as Lance had said that a piece of debris had coem falling down from the sky, by quick instinct Iris used vine whip and through the debris away. "Owie thats hot!" She pulled back her vines and blew on the burned portions. The group looked at Iris who sweatdropped. "It..was...was in the spurt of the moment I got scared!" Iris defended.

"We've found Irises role... you catch the outside following debris and if you find that a certain beam in the building is going to collapse hold it down with your vine whip.

"Eh, but I can't..go in there..." Iris whimpered.

"Who said anything about you going inside the building.. Yohaku's element is water so he'll be fighting the fire with Yuki and Skye."

"Can do!" Skye saluted. Yuki scoffed while Yohaku nodded.

"There is a pond nearby, I'm sure we can make do." Yohaku smiled.

"Damn, Atton, nor Andrew is here... No matter. We have to get in there! Konan your with me on this!" Lance yelled as two fire like axes emerge out of no where. "Let me go in first, back up.. if theres a flashover I'm the best to resist it." Lance used incendia to cut through the almost melted glass of the door, and just like he had said, a large burst of fire came from the building.

"Laaannnnce!" Konan let out a scream, but much to Konans amazement Incendia had cut straught through the flame. Konan let out a sigh of relief when she saw him standing there unharmed, and unburned.

"Told you I'd be fine Konan! Haha!" Lance joked, Konan had to resist hitting him at this point.

"Oh instead of my vine whip I can use arbor!" Iris squeeked as another large piece of debris came fallnig down, with an instand Iris used arbors vines to catch the piece of debris and throw it out of the way.

"We've got the water ready, get ready to go in." Yohaku calmly replied. The group nodded, and with that Konan and Lance went inside the burning building.

The visibility left was almost zero, Konan could barely see a foot ahead of her, and about a minute in it was already hard to breath. Konan was coughing violently as she tried to keep up with Lance, who was cutting down the pieces of debris that was standing in their way. They had finally reached a flight of stairs but right when Konan was about to step on the first step. Lance grabbed her and shook his head.

"Hold you breath." He said. Konan nodded and took a big gulp of air that wasn't already smoke infested and felt Lance pick her up and fly her across the stairs into the only room that they saw. There Lila lie unconscious and under a mountain of debris, just like Bane he was conscious however.

"Bane!" Konan yelped, turning to Lance she begged him to get them out.

"You'll have to get them out Konan, I can get the debris, but if I cut the debris I'll have to hold the building from collapsing.

"B-but what about you...?" Konan questioned him. He merely smiled. Konan watched as he cut through the debris to get to Bane. Grabbing him from out underneath the light wreckage Konan pulled him aside, Lila would be a bit trickier to get to, se was stuck near a beam that needed to be cut to get to her.

"I'll be fine." Lance reassured and sliced the beam causing it to come crashing down. He held the room to keep it from falling. Konan grabbed Lila and in pure adrenaline grabbed Bane to. The adrenaline pumping through her Bane gave her the ability to pick even Bane up, with the two in hand. She gave one last glance at Lance who ushered her to go. Konan nodded and ran down the stairs which were collapsing as she ran down them. Again in shere adrenaline her senses were pumped up, and she was running super speed.

The exit of the building came into view, and with one last burst of energy sprint out of the building.

"Miss Konan!" Yohaku yelled as Konan collapsed to the ground. Covered in ashes and soot. She was coughing heavily and had dropped Bane and Lila in the process. "Wheres Lance?!" Iris squeeked she punched another remaining board.

In between gasps and coughing Konan said " He's still inside! He's holding up the building!" but almost as on que the building began to collapse, and all time seemed to freeze. Konan could only watch as the building fell.

"LAAAANNNNNNCCCEEE!" Iris screamed as the building succumbed to the fire.

-A few minutes later-

The fire had been put out, and Lance was no where to be found. Yohaku was looking down solumnly, Yuki seemed only emotionless as always, Iris and Konan were clinging to each other crying, while Skye was trying to calm the two down.

"Lance..." Iris hiccuped.

Loud coughs were coming from the debris. "LANCE!" Konan yelped as she saw shuffle from under the debris. And sure enough Lance was shuffling up from the debris, coughing ludly, and was covered in soot. Konan and Iris went to glomp him.

"We were so worried!" They both yelled simultaineously.

"Hehe... The Lancinator is populer with the ladies, maybe he should get hurt more often?" Lance joked.

Konan and Iris proceeded to smack him, and they all broke out into a laugh. Even Yuki made a little bit of a smile. The whole group was in merry spirits as they waited for the two to wake up. They had no idea where Andrew or Atton were, but that could wait. This was a merry moment in a dilemic time. And they all wanted to enjoy it with all their hearts.

"We should get to Cerulean. Thats where the next weapon is!" Konan smiled. Lance picked up the unconscious Lila and carried her bridal style. While Yohaku in a humorous fashio flung Bane under his arm. The group was off to Cerulean city.

Chapter 66: In Blackest Night (Part 2): Rei, Volkner and Elisa!

Volkner dropped to the ground, exhausted. He still wasn't healed all the way, and he had to drag Rei, who still couldn't walk too good, and Elisa whose muscles are still too stiff to really move, out of the burning building. "Oh god... the pain." Volkner dropped to the ground before coughing up blood.

"Are you okay?" Asked Rei, not really caring one way or the other.

"I-I think I'm going to be fine." Said Volkner as he picked himself up. "As long as I don't have to carry both of you again."

"Well, you might have to carry Elisa. It is still pretty difficult to use my new arm and leg." Said Rei as he got up. In mere moments, however, he fell to the ground.

"We have a long trip ahead of us." Said Volkner as he grabbed Elisa and began to walk. Rei attempting to follow, and actually doing a nice job at it.

(Enel Base)

"Sir! There is a Goddess Touched coming this way!" Said an Enel agent. "But we ran a scan on him, and he's grown to have a level of power surpassing even yours!" Dmitri turned around in his chair, an unamused expression on his face.

"It must be Atton. After all, there were two missing from the fire site, Andrew and Atton. And from the sound of it, Andrew fought against Dimentio, so this has to be Atton." Said Dmitri as he got up. "He's no threat."

"But sir! We found out something interesting." Said the Enel agent. "Atton seems to be controlled in part by a chip in the back of his neck. How it is effecting him is unknown, but it seems to be holding him to someone's will." Dmitri stroked his goatee.

"It sounds a lot like something someone would do, but I don't know their name." Said Dmitri. "I assume that another party is trying to take away Lord Darkrai's control of the world... that's not good." Dmitri turned to the Enel agent and smirked. "Inform Samuel, have him track the signal to their base. We shall inform Lord Darkrai immedately. Soon, the Enel division of Lord Darkrai's reign will be the dominant one's... just because the Cult's leader has a 250,000,000 pokedollar bounty on her head doesn't make us look like chumps!"

"Why did you say that?" Asked the Enel grunt. "That wasn't even proper English."

"Shut up." Said Dmitri as he blasted the grunt back with dark energy. "Tell the Elisa clone to scout the remains of the hospital, make sure Lord Darkrai's plan doesn't derail."

"What is his plan, anyway?" Asked the grunt. Dmitri said nothing, prompting the grunt to forget about the question and run.

"Heh, Lord Darkrai will be pleased that I caught this new threat before it could become one." Said Dmitri as he walked to the wine rack. "Now, it's time to have a drink."

(Andrew)

"Andrew!" Yelled Alex, pointing a paw towards the hospital. "We have to get there and help contain the fire!"

"... No." Said Andrew as he began to walk away. "If I were to help, then Konan can't develop her strength farther. She needs to get more powerful."

"But what about Lila!?" Exclaimed Alex. Andrew smiled.

"I wish I could help, but in all truth, there is nothing I can do. I may be able to fly, but I can't fly with people that well, and that might kill us anyway." Said Andrew. "I guess I'll meet up with them in Cerulean. I'll apologize there, but right now, I don't think I can face them." The smoke started to fade until it was gone completely. "Let's go." Alex looked back at the hospital before jumping on Andrew's head, which, in his new body, was actually pretty hard. Andrew smirked as he began to fly away. "I'm sorry guys, but... I have to go. I have a bad feeling that there is something that's about to go down in Cerulean, something worse than a Hospital fire."

"I just hope you know what you're doing." Said Alex.

(Volkner, Elisa and Rei)

Volkner dropped to the ground, exhausted and in pain. Sure, falcon tribe members weren't that heavy, but he wasn't that strong, and was still injured. And he didn't know where his pokemon were. He guessed Darkrai had them, else Dusclops would have used them in his fight. Rei was behind him, having a better time actually walking than before. "Volkner, are you okay?"

"Yeah, a regular human would be fine after being electrocuted and pounded by a fairly powerful pokemon, being attacked by Darkrai, and dragging you out of a hispital, and nearly getting crushed in the process." Hissed Volkner as he attempted to get up. "I don't think I can get up, Rei. I need you to carry both Elisa and myself."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa... Even if I have a robotic arm, there are a few problems to be addressed. One, my human arm is weak, I haven't used it as much as you think, and the second thing is that I am having trouble using it. It doesn't work like a flesh and blood arm. It requires concentration to use, and I can only concentrate on either my legs, or my arm at one point in time." Said Rei, walking up to the downed Volkner. "I'm not worth 21,000,000 poke for being physically strong... but for ordering people to do this, and to do that. That's it."

"Great, we're doomed." Said Volkner.

"Need a hand?" Asked a man as he walked into the clearing. It was Marcus.

(ooc: Cliffy? Who knows?)

Harder, better, faster, stronger... Waaay stronger

"Odette! We've got trouble!"

Somewhere in Kanto, inside the laboratory Atton was worked on not at all too long ago, a scientist in a large control room voiced that phrase over the PA. The room the man found himself in was truly impressive, for it had technology the Mossdeep Space Center could only dream off. In front of him, at least 8 monitors of no less than 70 inches across were arranged in a semi-perfect rectangular shape. Semi not because they couldn't arrange it that way, but because it looked a lot cooler with a few misplaced things to show of the massive amount of wires. Each monitor, too, contained information about Atton. One screen kept track of heart beat and some other bodily functions, another one was a complete text log with a speech to text translator that kept everything Atton said and heard. The main monitor, the one that wasn't only placed in the middle, but was slightly larger than the others, displayed what Atton was seeing, first-person view. Under that, many colorful sticks, lights, and buttons made up the control panel. The rest of the room was eerily dark.

"What's that, Thadeus?" Odette asked with a stern tone as a door to the room slid open to a side, the attractive female walking inside as it did. Instinctively, Odette looked around, staring at each of the screens individually. She tried to find out what was wrong before Thadeus had to tell her, but a lot of things displayed on the monitors were coded and hard to understand. She approached Thadeus, who was sitting on his large leather chair, a put her petite hand on the shoulder of the aging man.

"There was a quick, but radical increase in radiation inside Atton's body." Thadeus spoke as he stretched his hand and types some weird and long code on the keyboard. When he was done, one of the screens displayed the outline of Atton's body. The silhouette was colored with different shades of red, green, yellow and blue; each color representing some sort of radiation on Atton's self.

"You see that right there?" Thadeus said as he pointed to a part of Atton's body, but the screen was far away from Thadeus reach, so his pointing was useless. It looked like he was just pointing at a random spot. Odette, however, knew how to read the radiation graph, and she immediately noticed the difference.

"Yes, I see it." Odette said as she typed something. A text box appeared next to the silhouette and several non-understandable codes typed themselves in. "It is weak, though; and it only affected him for some seconds. What do you think it could've been?"

"Judging by the looks of it," Thadeus said as he took his wrinkled hand to his bald head, "he could've been submitted to a strange type of photography or video, maybe even a body scan of some sort. My guess goes for the latter, though, because the Alpha Chip rose nearly .000002 degrees in temperature because of the radiation."

"Do you know who did the scan, or where did it come from?" Odette asked as her facial expression turned to one of anger.

"Good god, woman!" Thadeus exclaimed as he threw his hand and feet up into the air in dismay. "Like it's not enough we have the technology to capture such a low amount of radiation caused by a remote source; now you want me to see who did it and where? You're never pleased, are ya?"

Disgusted at Thadeus' remark, Odette took her hand to one of her guns, but she stopped herself from doing anything when she remembered how Thadeus had always been loyal to her and that he was old and was probably going through a state of andropause.

—"Fine, then. Does it stand a threat?"
—"I doubt it. You and I know what Alpha Chip is capable of, let alone put inside the body of a creature with millenary power."
—"You're right. Let's remember, though, Atton has the chip, we don't. Anything interested in Atton is of our concern and puts us in peril. Cut down any sort of electromagnetic wave that comes out of here so there is no way we can be tracked down. The link with Atton won't be broken, don't worry about it, that can't be tracked. It's not a sort of signal anything would be able to read. Keep me informed. I will go tell Atton where to search for the weapon."

"Roger." Thadeus said as he inputted another code. Odette walked away, wondering what could have happened right there. That could've been a lost Pokemart scan ray that somehow his Atton, or it could've been a beam to burn Atton's intestines. She wasn't at all concerned, however, for she was confident about the monster she had created.

Now, back with Atton.

The Leo was already in the range of land that was denoted as Cerulean City. In fact, the small fence that marked the southern part of the city was visible already. With fire in his eyes, Atton continued to walk, but all of a sudden he was stopped when the voice of another person called him.

"Hey, you, stop!"

Atton looked to a side to see a man with a crossbow aiming at him.

"You're Atton Ignus, aren't ya?!" The man said with a fake tone of bravery. He wanted to look intimidating with his crossbow and all, but his legs and hands where shaking, and Atton could smell his fear. One thing made him uneasy, though. Why did this man know who Atton was, why was he holding a weapon against him, and why was he so scared? For all Atton knew, he wasn't someone people would know. Baffled, Atton raised an eyebrow, but he didn't answer the man's question.

"Answer me, idiot!" The man said, and without further do, he shot the cocked arrow, knowing that he'd hit Atton for sure. The image he was forced to look out, however, stunned him. The weapon went on the planned course, but when it got close enough to hit Atton, it just went right through, like if Atton had been a ghost. At the same time, too, a blurred image of him bending to a side appeared and disappeared. Fact was he moved at an unreasonable speed to dodge the arrow (think Agent Smith from in the first Matrix movie).

The man yelped in pain as he stepped back, loading another arrow. Imposingly, Atton took a step forward. The scene was repeated, and there went another missed arrow. The third time, though, Atton didn't bother dodging, and an arrow went right through his stomach, making a small hole in his tight outfit.

"Hah! Gotcha!" The man said as he waited for Atton to fall to his knees. But that never happened, and Atton didn't even flinch before he gave another step forward. Frightened, the man shot two other arrows, both connecting successfully in Atton's chest and shoulder. But the Leo never stuttered, and he continued walking towards the man.

"No, you crazy beast! Step back!" The man said as he tried to load another arrow, but because of his nervousness, not only did he break the arrow, but he dropped the crossbow to the ground. With a girly yelp, the male turned around and began to run away. Atton carefully removed the arrows from his body before looking up and see the male attempting an escape. With a pissed off grimace, Atton decided he wouldn't let this man leave. The only question was how would he dispose of him. He was at a relatively long distance, and Atton wasn't equipped with projectiles; so he did the next best thing. Atton jumped 10 feet up into the air, and when he came down, he slammed his fist against the ground. For a second, nothing seemed to happen, but soon enough a crack appeared on the ground, and it advanced forward at a great speed. Eventually, the opening on the ground reached the running man, who couldn't help but to break his ankle and fall as his feet fell inside the crack. The man let out a loud scream as he saw Atton approach.

Atton looked down at his prey, so weak, so scared. In a way, he was surprised at his own power. If he could do that to the ground, he'd probably be able to cause an earthquake if he jumped a little higher. But that was something he'd figure out later. For now, Atton reached down, picking up the crossbow, and stabbing the side of the man's head with it. Loads of blood came out. As Atton reached back up, he could see smoke coming out from Vermilion. But he ignored it, and he turned around, proceeding in his way.

At last, Atton was at the fence. He could jumped it with ease, but instead he walked over to a tree that blocked the entrance. It was a thin tree, the ones that people were supposed to use 'Cut' on; but he had a much better idea. Something more subtle. Atton hugged the tree, and after some pulling, he forced the tree out of the ground. He threw it up into the air, easily reaching the height of a building that was 5 stories tall. The tree slammed the ground behind him as Atton stormed inside Cerulean.

"Honey… I'm home."
((Yay, Zeta, thanks for including Atton in your post. xD. If you hadn't done it, I wouldn't have really known what to post. O: I'd really love you, though, not to find out anything else of Odette's secret lab O:))

(A/N: This is actually not too bad in my opinion. Final Part of the 'In Blackest Night' Trilogy, tried my best for this post... okay, maybe not. It is just two fights with some talking. But still! I'd like to think I did the fights good.)

Chapter 67: In Blackest Night (Part 3): Chaos Overdrive

(Enel Base)

"Sir, the signal cut off." Said a random Enel member. Dmitri glared at the soldier.

"What!? Damn it! We almost had them!" Yelled Dmitri in rage, clenching his fist. "What else is going to happen?"

"Umm... sir, there are eight intruders within 50 miles of our base. Six of them are incredibly powerful. The most powerful one has entered Cerulean City." Said the Enel agent. Suddenly, the darkness wrapped around him.

"You are dismissed." Said Dmitri coldly as he clenched his fist.

"SIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRR!" Yelled the agent as he exploded. There was no sign of him. Dmitri growled as he looked at the path to Saffron. There was some sort of Leo Tribe Member pulling out the tree.

"Fine... I think I know what he's here for." Said Dmitri. He grabbed a microphone and said. "Attention all Enel personell! There is an intruder with a threat level of Very High heading our way. If he shows up, then... let him through. Do not attack him, and lead him to my office! I wish to converse with him."

Dmitri then looked back outside and smirked. He had scoped out his full powers, and he was about even with Alex, but with high elemental resistances. If the Leo tribe member were to attack him, he could overpower and possibly kill the beast. However, if he were to agree with what he had to say... there would be no need to fight.

Dimentio looked at Dmitri, narrowing his eyes. The Gyarados morph was rapidly changing his mind, but why? "Ah, it seems as though the black pawn painted himself gray. An... interesting development."

Dimentio warped away, not having been detected by Dmitri, the security cameras, or any of the Knights, or Peasants.

Dmitri laughed as he looked around. "Lord Darkrai, if there is a more tempting offer, then you will be useless to me. You already made me the Titan of Water, much like you made the Meteokyer the Titan of Fire, and Gohma the Titan of Forest. You can't take it away, and with the amount of power I have, I think you would get killed by me." Said Dmitri. "Hahaha!"

"DMITRI!" Yelled Corosa as she walked into the room. "Your Goddess demands your attention!" Dmitri looked at Corosa before facepalming.

"You aren't a Goddess, Corosa." Said Dmitri. "But if you want to talk, I'll listen."

"I am a goddess! Lord Darkrai and his Latios confirmed it!" Yelled Corosa. "But I do have news. I hear the leader of the Darkrai Cult, what's her name... Ellen? Yeah, that's it... Ellen is in control of Latios and Latias. So there goes your promotion."

"... I hate you Ellen. I really do." Said Dmitri as Corosa disappeared. "I hope to Darkrai that Corosa doesn't tell Ellen I said that."

(Marcus and Volkner's Group)

"So that's what happened, eh?" Asked Marcus. Rei nodded as Volkner attempted to get up. "I guess I'll help you out. You lot are pathetic."

"Well, at least I didn't lose to a bird... how many times? Three? Four?" Taunted Rei. Marcus growled before punching the ex-crime lord.

"Those were flukes. The first time I was worn down by Rosa, the second time I was taken by surprise by an even stronger spirit, the third time, I was somewhat drunk, and the fourth time he had another transformation that came out of nowhere." Growled Marcus. "Listen, there is something powerful around here. And while this isn't in my nature, I will help you get to Saffron."

"That's all we need." Said Volkner as limped over. "And that's all we want."

"Heh, do not underestimate me. I can defeat any of the chosens original forms." Said Marcus before turning his back to the three. "Hm? I heard something."

"Heh, so it seems that you heard me. I'm not surprised." Said a cloaked man as he jumped down. It was Edward, a member of the Darkrai Cult, as well as a Knight in Team Enel. "But guess what? It doesn't matter if you can detect me, you won't be able to fight me."

(Andrew and Alex)

Andrew sighed as he landed on the route. His wings were getting tired, he wasn't used to flying with a Manetric.

"Andrew, what's wrong?" Asked Alex. Andrew smirked before saying.

"Not much, actually. I feel guilty that I just left them behind, but it is for their own good." Andrew began to walk, with Alex running aside him. Suddenly, Andrew looked to the trees. "I know someone is in there! Come out!"

"Heh, you found me, eh?" Asked a man as he jumped down from the trees. "I am Enel Sub-Knight, Erik." The man, now known as Erik smirked, his teeth sparkling. "And you won't survive past today!"

"Heh, newly appointed, eh?" Asked Andrew, getting ready to fight. "Let's get this over with!" Andrew flew after Erik.

(Dmitri)

"Heh, Edward and Erik are in place. Let's see how powerful the members of the Darkrai Cult really are." Said Dmitri, looking at the two fights from his computer screen.

(Marcus vs. Edward)

Edward laughed as Marcus attempted to strike at him. He dove into the shadows, avoiding the strike, before reconstituting behind the hunter. "Wh-" Began Marcus before getting kicked away by Edward.

"Ahaha! I am a lot more powerful than you! My element is Earth/Shadow!" Laughed Edward as he manipulated the earth.

"Heh, Earth isn't resistant to fire." Said Marcus before running at Edward. He swung his fist, but Edward ducked before shooting another shadow ball at the chamelion morph, blasting him back. Marcus quickly deflected the blast before running at Edward once more.

"Hehe... this is rather pathetic." Said Edward as he made a shield. "And now, it's time for the death of the great hunter Marcus!" Edward smiled as he punched Marcus to the ground. "Any last words?"

"Yeah, do you really think you are powerful? Those attacks were fairly weak." Said Marcus as he got up. He smiled before disappearing.

"You have the power of invisibility!? No, you're blending in." Said Edward before jumping back, avoiding a punch.

"What? How'd you avoid that?" Asked Marcus, still blending in. Edward smirked before shooting another Shadow Ball, this one exploding on impact.

"I can still see you. Your party tricks don't work on those who serve Darkrai." Said Edward as he clapped his hands. A wave of shadows engulfed Marcus, making him visible, as well as knocking him back. "Heh, is this all you have? This is truly an easy fight. I thought you were supposed to be as strong as a Titan."

"Titan?" Questioned Marcus. "The definition of a Titan is a person or thing of enormous size, strength, power, or influence. Technically I am a Titan. I am a person of enormous power."

"Heh, very funny." Said Edward as he readied to attack. "You can't beat me by yourself! Elisa is unconscious still, Volkner is too weak, and Rei can't do anything! You're doomed, hunter!"

"Heh, you'd think so." Said Marcus as he got up. "I know exactly what you're talking about. I saw one in the Cinnabar Volcano. The Titan of Fire, or the Guardian of the Legendary Axe Incienda or something like that."

"Heh, you know a lot. Why is that?"

"You know what?" Asked Marcus as he kicked Edward to the ground. "You hear things while you travel around the world. A lot of things." But Edward kicked Marcus' right leg hard enough to trip him. Taking advantage of the distraction, Edward jumped up and prepared to fire an attack.

(Andrew vs. Erik)

Andrew punched Erik in the face, knocking him back quite far. "Oww... that kind of hurt." Said Erik as he wiped the blood off his face. "It looks like this might be fun." But before Erik could do anything, Andrew slammed his knee in Erik's face, before kicking him back.

"Fun? This is easy. You are weak, you know that? A lot like Gohma, actually. If I figured out his weak point earlier, and if I was as powerful as I am now, I could beat it one-on-one." Said Andrew as the winds around him began to pick up. "Now, I'm going to finish this quickly."

"Heh, Water Mines go!" Exclaimed Erik. Suddenly, something on Andrew exploded, knocking him to the ground, and injuring him fairly badly. "Heh, and now to finish this." Alex jumped in to fight, but was trapped in a water sphere. Erik sirked before forming a ball of water.

(Enel Base)

"Hehehehahaha!" Laughed Dmitri as he saw his opponents on the ground. "This is the end of those two meddlers! I wonder why I didn't think of this sooner!"

"And so I arrive, like a spider to a fly buffet!" Said Dimentio as he warped in. His theme music playing.

"Ah, Dimentio... here to watch the two candidates for Caelum die?" Asked Dmitri.

"I'm sorry, but no. You see, I am here on official orders from Darkrai. And unofficial orders from Corosa. I am here to eliminate you." Said Dimentio as he snapped his fingers. Dmitri gasped before jumping back, avoiding a small explosion.

"Wait, what!?" Yelled Dmitri. "This isn't fair! What'd I do!?"

"You dared to betray Lord Darkrai. That's what you did... but you are still useful to him." Said Dimentio as he snapped his fingers once more. Suddenly, three red rings surrounded Dmitri. "Now your mind shall be as blank as your loyalty. You will serve only Darkrai." Dimentio snapped... and nothing happened.

"Wh-what?" Asked Dmitri as he opened his eyes. "What's going on?"

"Gotcha! ~Hehehe! Do you really think I would kill you? I mean, you're still useful." Said Dimentio. "After all, you are the Titan of Water. And I don't want to be the wielder of the weapon."

"You jerk! Why did you do that!?" Yelled Dmitri. Dimentio shrugged.

"I was bored. Now, I must be off. Ciao!" Said Dimentio as he disappeared. Dmitri looked around before letting out a sigh of relief.

(Marcus vs. Edward)

"Hahaha! Before you go, I think you would like to see perfection." Said Edward as he removed his cloak. Suddenly, his skin began to sparkle. "Hahaha! Do you like it!? This is the after effect that Darkness left on me! Personally, I love it! There should be a book on people like me, it'd be popular!"

"You're hideous." Said Marcus. "Villains don't sparkle... I mean what the hell!" Edward laughed.

"I'm perfect! I look perfect! I feel perfect, I act perfect! I AM PERFECT!" Exclaimed Edward as he wrapped Marcus in darkness.

"Urgh, you call this powerful? I can break this easily!" Exclaimed Marcus as he broke through the shadows. 'Wow, this guy is getting on my nerves.'

"Hahaha!" Laughed Edward as his hands were engulfed by darkness, making them shadow claws. "Now die at the hands of a perfect being!" Edward jumped towards Marcus, in an attempt to skewer him, however, he dodged before kicking the 'perfect being', knocking him back.

"Seriously, you are a little tough, but you can't win. I'm a little out of your league." Said Marcus as he took out his gun. "And I haven't had to shoot at you yet." Marcus took aim and fired, but Edward seemed to feel no pain.

"Hahaha! That is useless!" Laughed Edward as he wrapped his dark claws around the gun, he squeezed and crushed the barrel.

"Damn you! That's the third gun that broke!" Yelled Marcus before punching Edward.

(Elisa, Volkner and Rei)

"Wow, Marcus is pretty strong." Said Rei. "I wish I had hired him instead of Mercury. I mean... damn!" Volkner looked at Rei, before looking at Elisa, who had finally regained consciousness.

"Volkner? Wh- where are we?" Asked Elisa as she looked around.

"Long story short." Said Volkner before coughing up more blood. "Hospital burst into flames, so I had to drag both you, and your seven hundred pound child crime lord over there out of the building. I don't even know how I did it, but since I was still injured, I pened my wounds back up."

Rei snickered before saying. "I helped him by having my feet on the floor, with roller skates I stole from someone. So he pushed me out, and carried you."

"Still, it was hard to do either way." Said Volkner. "Especially since I don't really work out too often."

(Marcus)

Marcus growled as he deflected a Shadow Ball. This was getting annoying, and he couldn't finish him off with his gun. "Damn it!" Exclaimed Marcus before kicking Edward in his sparkling face, knocking him back, and breaking his nose.

"M-my nose!" Exclaimed Edward as he touched it. "You broke my nose! You'll pay for that!"

"Oooh, a vague threat... I'm sooooo scared." Mocked Marcus before kneeing Edward in the ribs.

"Ah!" Gasped Edward. "Stop damaging my perfect body! I'll kill you if you don't!" Edward got up before getting kicked by Marcus, once again in the nose. "Stop hitting my nose!" But Marcus simply stomped on Edward's nose once more.

That had to hurt.

"GRAAAAAHHHHHH!" Roared Edward as he shot off a giant wave of darkness, sending Marcus high into the air. "THAT'S ENOUGH! I WILL NOT ACCEPT DEFEAT! I AM PERFECT, I CAN'T LOSE!" Edward's entire body was then engulfed in shadows. "AHAHAHAHA!!! NOW YOU WILL LOOOOOOOOOOSSSSE!" Edward's voice was starting to get more high pitched then before.

"Are you really that sore of a loser?" Asked Marcus, seeing Edward's form engulfed in shadows. 'Wow, he might actually be tough. I was holding back until now. I just hope his power didn't increase too much'

(Andrew vs. Erik)

As Erik moved to shoot the water attack, Andrew kicked Erik's arm, causing the blast to shoot up into the sky. "Is this all you got? I haven't had to transform."

"Grr... I'll kill you for that insult!" Exclaimed Erik as he shot a bunch of water attacks, but Andrew avoided them and dashed for Alex, who was trapped in the water sphere. "No! If that dog is freed, I'm doomed!" Erik shot a water tentacle, grabbing Andrew's leg.

"What?" Questioned Andrew as he tried to get away, but Erik's hold was too strong.

"Time to drown!" Exclaimed Erik as the tentacle grew and broke off, becoming another water prison. However, Andrew transformed into his Propero state, and using his enhanced speed, he escaped the dome before punching Erik. "What? But how!?" Andrew simply kicked Erik once more, but the water from the orb he ued to trap Andrew blocked the kick.

"Wind slice!" Exclaimed Andrew as he kicked with his other leg, cutting through the water, before kicking Erik once more. However, the sub-knight was far from finished as he shot some needles of water at Andrew, cutting various places, but not doing too much damage overall.

"Haha! Your friend looks a little... blue." Said Erik, pointing at Alex. Andrew growled before shooting a gust of wind, granting him a second. In the state he was in, he was fast enough to travel the fifteen feet in a second, before grabbing the Manectric, but the orb of water resisted, by trying to drown Andrew. "Ahaha! You can't beat me!"

However, Andrew pulled harder and was able to free Alex, dispelling the water sphere. "What?" Asked Erik, looking at Alex. He was still conscious, but barely. He didn't look like he was going to drown.

"I'm fine, Andrew. Don't worry about me." Said Alex, coughing out some water. "Kick that guy's ass for me, and I'll help you as soon as I am able."

"Okay." Said Andrew as he looked at Alex. "Now, onto you." Andrew looked at Erik, who was smirking. Alex was gone, and he was winning... until Andrew kneed him in the face, knocking him onto the ground.

"Grr... you won't win. Your Manectric was the only way you could beat me, and now since he can't fight... I will beat you." Said Erik as he got up. "Say goodbye to your life!" Erik smiled as he formed a water spear. "DIE!" Erik jumped at Andrew and lunged, but the falcon mrph flew up into the sky.

"I'm afraid you won't beat me." Said Andrew as he shot a Gust down. Erik smirked as he swung a water tentacle at Andrew, breaking through the gust before slamming into the bird morph, causing him to fall to the ground rather painfully.

"Heh, it's time to die." Said Erik as he formed a knife of water. However, Andrew rolled out of the way.

"That was close." Said Andrew, grabbing his arm. "But I'm afraid that I'm not going to lose. Not now."

"Heh, too bad." Said Erik, smirking. "You believe that, while I drown you!" Erik moved to shoot water at Andrew, but was hit by a bolt of lightning. "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" Erik fell to the ground, dead.

"Thanks, Alex." Said Andrew. Alex walked up to Andrew and smiled.

"No problem." Said Alex. Andrew nodded before grabbing his arm. "What are you doing?"

"Popping my arm back into place." Said Andrew as he began to move his arm, causing him pain, but he eventually popped it back into place. "Much better, let's go."

(Marcus vs. Edward)

"Hahaha! With my darkness armor, I will smite you! You don't think I'm perfect!? That's foolish!" Laughed Edward as the darkness began to change shape. Two wings of darkness burst from his back, and he grew a tail. His nose and mouth also formed into some sort of snout. He looked more... draconic then before, but it was only the shadows making him appear as such. There was a visible aura of darkness around Edward, showing his power, as well as how much darkness was in him.

"You think that scares me?" Asked Marcus. Edward smirked as he discharged a dark wave, knocking him into the trees. "Wh-what? I could barely even see that!"

"Hehehe... I'm not an Enel Admin for nothing." Said Edward as he extended his arm to pin Marcus down. "The only one that is stronger than me is Alex."

"Heh, you're pathetic." Said Marcus as he tried to get out of the hold. Edward just laughed.

"Ahaha! I'm so powerful! Your struggles are useless, hunter!" Laughed Edward as spikes grew out of his back and tail.

"Heh, now this is getting interesting." Said Marcus as he was engulfed by flames. Edward cringed before letting Marcus go.

"What? I thought you couldn't use your powers!" Exclaimed Edward as he held his injured hand.

"Just because I never showed them, doesn't mean I never had them." Said Marcus. "Unfortunately, it hurts me to use them. Seeing as lizards and lizard morphs are weak to fire naturally.

"D-damn." Said Edward. "Oh well, I'm still the ultimate being!"

"Heh, don't throw that word around." Said Marcus, smirking. "You'll look foolish in front of someone stronger."

"I'll kill you!" Yelled Edward as he extended his arm. But Marcus took out a knife and cut clean through it. "AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! THE PAIN!" Edward screamed as his arm fell to the ground. "You'll pay for that, as soon as you reach Cerulean! Ahaha!" Edward then disappeared.

"Urgh... I'm so glad he left when he did. I don't think I could have won at that rate." Said Marcus as he sat down. "If you three don't mind, I need to rest."

"Not at all." Said Volkner as he and Rei were shocked by what just happened. Elisa, the only one of the three with quite a bit of power was less affected, but was still a little surprised.

Marcus gambled with Edward, and won. But will he be able to win next time?

(End of Chapter)

(OOC: Yeah, this took 6 1/2 hours to finish. Granted, I was doing other things, like looking up Dr. Weil's theme from Megaman Zero 4, and Megaman ZX, but still. It took forever, and I wanted to leave off with this chapter. And yes, Marcus does get hurt by using his fire powers, yet he gains strength in heat? Unusual, but... oh well. Sucks to be him, stuck using physical powers when you have a powerful element to use. And if Edward is different, blame that on his sparkles. He gained them, and a better body than before, giving him a superiority complex.)

ooc: Nice post zetta =O

The group had been walking for several hours. The sun was settinng just when they had arrived in Cerulean. Yohaku seemed kind of anxious to be here. Konan looked at him, he merely smiled back.

"This is team enels base of operations I believe..Lets hope they don't already know we are here." Yohaku said to the group.

"Psh, I could take them." Yuki cocked her head and gave an ignorant smile. She knew what she could take and obviously she felt Team Enel was of no threat to her.

"Thats not the problem, this isn't like when we were at Vermillion, this is there actual base of operations. If we get caught here..we are dead." Yohaku explained.

"And how do you know so much about this Yohaku?" Skye asked.

Yohaku's hidden animalistic jackal features twitched anxiously, and his red eyes shifted to the group. Konan, Yuki, Lance, Iris, and Skye looked at him waiting for a story.

"I am a traitor to Team Enel. I was sent on a mission to kill you all." Yohaku calmly stated.'

Konan squeeked a little bit as Skye stepped in front of her. A small angered glare on his face. His blue eyes glaring into Yohaku's own red eyes. Konan could only help but remain silent, Yuki to was looking down, she could sense the hurt Yuki was feeling. Lance also glared as Iris stood in complete and utter shock.

"B-But, you didn't want to kill us right?!" Iris squeeked.

"No. I didn't. I was sent to spy, and to kill you. And when I didn't follow orders, they dubbed me a traitor to Team Enel. When I met Konan, my job was to collect Aetherion, and Attons third form as well. I was to spy on you, collect Aetherion, and then kill you." Yohaku's eyes grew solumn. "For mere moments, I came close to killing Atton. I nearly froze him to death... Then the darkrai cult interfered. I'm glad I did... or I may have did somehing I really regretted." Yohaku told the group.

"Tch." Skye glared.

Yuki said nothing. She merely walked up to him, and gave him a hard smack to the face. The Ookami girl was gritting her teeth. "I knew it." She stated. Yohaku said nothing. His cheek turning red from where Yuki had smacked him. Konan could only look in horror. Yuki and Yohaku from the time she had vaguely known them had got along great. Konan felt it was time to say something.

She moved Skye out of the way. "The past is the past. If Team Enel knows Yohaku is a traitor then well thats bad....but if they don't..We could use that to our advantage." Konan had a mischevious smile on her face. The group fell silent, everyone was a bit confused until Iris spoke up.

"Oh hey! I get it! Yohaku could pretend to capture us, and then we get our chance to strike!" Iris squeeked. Yuki still realyl silent merely nodded. Skye seemed to switch modds rather quickly. Yohaku to was silent.

"I'm sorry.." He said, Skye only walked up to him and game him a firm pat on the back.

"Haha, no time to be sad, we got some ass kicking to do!" Skye said. Lance gave a loud "YEAH!" The group laughed. The group trudged onward to Cerulean.

---To be continued---

(OOC: At the end, there is a lost on how each Enel member fights. Edward, Lord Alex, and Grand Lord Dmitri will not be fought just yet. Edward is gone, and Alex and Dmitri are in the base. Sooo yeah. I also listed bounties, which indicates how dangerous they are. Dmitri and Alex are obviously the most dangerous. But anyway, let's go on to fight Enel, and finally end that subplot.)

Chapter 68: Cerulean Arrival! The Beginning of the War on Enel!

(Enel Base)

"So it seems that the traitor Yohaku is here." Said Zeke as the Devil's Machine was completely charged, "Begin the seperation tactics! I want to fight my former peon!"

"And Konan as well." Said Sandra as she looked up. "Remember, she's heading this way too, and I want to cut her. I want to make her bleed." Sandra then got out her knife. "And afterwards burn her body." Zeke looked at Sandra before backing up, nervous.

"Yeeeeah, let's just get them here." Said Zeke before turning back to the Devil's Machine. Suddenly the platform holding the mecha descended, a panel sliding over it. "Perfect! Now we can really fight."

(Enel Base)

Samuel smirked as he got in his body armor. "Heh, this will make sure I will survive!" Said Samuel as he fired a beam, destroying the table. "I can fly, I have various guns, and a charge beam! That Skye won't have a chance! Ahahaha!" Laughed Samuel as he sealed himself inside.

"My Knight." Said an Enel member. "They are approaching now."

"Excellent. Now I shall destroy them with this!" Laughed Samuel as he sat down. "Now to wait until they split up to get the keys to my barrier."

(Enel Base)

Kanna smiled as she looked at the group. "Ahaha! My target Andrew is fairly close by. They have entered Cerulean City, much like the Chosen group and Atton." Said Kanna. "I might as well get to my room, I am, after all, a key." Kanna then teleported away. Dmitri smirked as she left.

"Heh, I suppose I should get redy. Activate the barrier!" Exclaimed Dmitri, pressing a button. Suddenly, a large indestructible barrier formed around the Enel Base. "Now to get in, they need to kill all eight Knights. Time to issue the challenge." Dmitri laughed as he too disappeared.

(Enel Base)

Alex sat in the throne that was put in place over the pool, waiting for Atton. He was the defense inside the barrier.

(Enel Base)

F. Elisa flew around, looking down on the people below. Looking for her real self, and whoever she traveled with. There's nothing much going on here.

(Enel Base)

Kevin looked around, he was the weakest, so he had to deal with Lila and Volkner, the two powerless people. He smirked, at least he would be useful. "I must go, myself, sir." Said Kevin as he jumped out of the window.

(Enel Base)

Alexander smiled. Unlike his similarly named Lord, Alex, he was one of the weaker ones. Forced to fight the two weaker members, who ironically already obtained their weapons. "Heh, if I fail, then I don't deserve to exist in the new world." Said Alexander as he saw the main group.

(Marcus' group)

"Well, I got you to Cerulean." Said Marcus as he looked around. "But I must leave and heal my wounds I got while facing that Edward fellow. I wish you lot luck." Marcus bowed hs head before disappearing.

"Okay, we made it." Said Rei, looking inside Cerulean. "Now... Elisa, Volkner, Dmitri likely has a powerful defense other than the troops, so keep your guard up."

"Um... why are you telling us this?" Asked Volkner. "You're just as vulnerable as I am. If not more so." Rei sighed before saying.

"That's not the point. The point is, keep your guards up. I'm not sure what traps Dmitri laid, so... yeah." Rei climbed over the fence. Volkner and Elisa following.

(Andrew)

Andrew flew into the trees before Cerulean, so he wouldn't get shot down or something. "We have to get in." Said Andrew. He looked at the gate, and the guards were sleeping. Andrew zipped right in, getting past the guards quickly.

(Dmitri)

Dmitri appeared in the sky, above Cerulean City. He quickly spotted each invader. He smirked before shouting, amplifying his voice so that they could hear. "I know you 'chosen ones' are here! If you want to get into the main Enel Base, you have to kill each Knight under my control! There are eight of them hiding in houses across Cerulean City! Each one of you will fight a different Knight, because if more then one being kills a Knight of mine, or the person isn't the designated fighter, the Enel Base will not open to you!" He smiled as he fired some sort of pulse. "Each one of you have been selected to fight an Enel Knight. All of you now know where your opponent is! If you defeat them all, the Enel Base will open! And you will get the chance to fight me and Alex, and obtain the Water sword whatever it's called!"

Dmitri inhaled before continuing. "Now you shall die! You shall know the power of those above five million!" Dmitri then teleported away once more.

(Andrew)

After hearing the announcement, he flew in front of the gym, only to be blocked by a barrier. "What the? What is this?" Asked Andrew.

"I think it's a barrier." Said Alex, sitting down. "I think you might want to wait until the barrier is down... soooo, yeah. We need to fight whoever is at that house."

"Okay." Said Andrew, blankly.

(Volkner's Group)

"Okay, I think I see Konan's group." Said Elisa. "I'm going to go to them and let them know we're here."

"No, we're coming. If we're caught, we'd get killed." Said Volkner. "So we're going to follow you."

"Yeah." Said Rei.

After a minute or so of arguing, the three quickly made their way to Konan's group.

I found some kind of Fairtyale.

At first, it had appeared that Lila, in her regeneration, would finally have a single lapse of peace. Most people prayed for beautiful dreams, sweet, blissful scenes of wishful thinking, but for the girl whose every last second of vulnerability in her sleep had been plagued with chases, poisoned with sickening sacrifices, and the ever-eminent recurring theme of her own death, a gray void would've been nice. However, an external force much more malevolent than her own dreamt-up gorey tragedies had tasted the unconscious mind of the Goddess, and intrigued with the possibilities of snagging the celestial child in her sleep, slowly began to ebb into her consciousness. In the arms of Lance, Lila's smoothed features twitched, blanching as if she had just bit into something sour. The natural heat radiating from Incedia's person should've done wonders to soothe the resting girl, but instead, as if the difference in degrees were enough to say, boil her, and were scalding her, Lila broke out into a feverish sweat, gasping helplessly, a beached creature of the sea, the heat only sending trills of merciless flame into her being on contact, or perhaps it wasn't Lance at all. Perhaps the infectious disease quivering with vengeance pressing on her own mind with enough pressure to crack her soul was the one responsible for the discomfort. But as the chosen ones of Lila carried on in ignorance of their Goddess' suffering, the peaceful void Lila should've been laid to rest in suddenly darkened, tainted with a foul taste of the only one able to strike within her mind...

Lavendar irises snapped open in self-awareness, as immediately, the girl erected, without a single moment to spare, a hand flying to lips so flawless, they appeared to have been painted onto the girl's China doll face, as trembling, she forced herself to her feet, stumbling not once, but twice, in an attempt to gain her balance. She surveyed the scene unfolding around her in awe-stricken horror, fascinated by the abrupt change in scenery, what had been the bleakness of her mind was now a living, breathing hell, the walls of her mind transformed into an uneding oblivious of wrathful flames, and despair. A rank, pungent odor permeated her being, sending a series of chills down the petite girl's spine, and unable to reach an equillibrium between the choking heat and the chilliness, she only sank miserably to the ground, the ground, which had formerly been just empty air, now shifting into the charred, ashy remnants of a burnt building. A building that hadn't gone down alone, perishing not until it had claimed a good dozen or so lives with it. Lila couldn't be sure how she knew all of this, but a rapid succession of images barraging her made her nautious, as she shrank away from the intricate design furtherly contributing to the macquabre scene, a disgusting display of human remains carelessly laid over one another, all across the broad expanse, as if their sheer numbers held no significance. From its cemented resting place not a foot from her person, Lila discovered a chipped human skull, leering tauntingly at her, teeth bashed out here and there to make the gaps inbetween appear as soulless as the eyes. Again, lifting herself from the ground, Lila discovered three identical to the first one, which she had been sitting on.

She opened her mouth to scream, but the toxic odors wafting into the room, and filling it as a gas chamber during annihilation would forced their way down her slender, mortal throat, coaxing the tissue on the journey down to perish, to cease functioning, and become black, to swell, and enlarge, so that in this personal hell, the Human Goddess known as Lila would choke and writhe, as she experienced what would be anyone's nightmare thricefold around her. As the foul, infectious toxins traversed the canal leading through her body, they reached untainted lungs, it taking but a single court from death to persuade them into joining, and her heart, though a bit more resilient, took but a tiny bit more of serenading before it too willingly collapsed. Lilac eyes swimming with hot tears, Lila forced herself to press on, what was only a wounded beast to the sniggering flames charging mindlessly through them, for even had she been able to fight, it's doubtful such rebellion would cross her suffocating mind, and the only primal instinct left was to flee, though had she known anything at all about the brutal cemetary of this unforgiving God of death, she would've realized immediately that as she progressed from the entrance of this underworld into the bowels, it would only get worse. True to his sadistic thirst for suffering, the unrelenting Prince of darkness watched from the shadows the girl was blindly crashing into, a mocking grin growing ever wider as she flailed past a once-pristine pond, now intoxicated with sludge, and reeking of decomposition, the depths dark, but surface clear enough to allow Lila a gander in, a decaying skeleton, meat still clinging to the arched bones of his ribcage, as he stared on helplessly, his smile not a grin, but moreso a woeful one, a sad grimace of pain, as pathetically, he stretched a quivering hand from the polluted depths to wrap around Lila's ankle. A pierce scream choking finally from her, Lila coughed the poisons killing her up, only to lose all strength finally, as death took its toll, sending her crashinng to her knees next to a similar pond.. This one reeking suspiciously of steam and hot blood. Forced to her knees, unsummoned tears springing to her eyes, time froze her in this frame, this forboding, miserable frame hovering doomfull over the pond, Lila could oly stare into the crimson depths in dread as inevitably, corpses, and those who were nearly corpses, drifted slowly, but decisively toward her, as if against their will. An agonized moan escaped a Gyarados, whose large, gaping jaws were gasping desperately for something, something clean, something breathable. A Froslass' eyes were similarily squinched in pain, as occaisional shrieks emitted from her sent hot bubbles to the surface. A Raichu, now immune to the pains his comrades suffered, floated on without direction, cheeks detached. A Mareep, still very much alive, bleated in torment, bulging eyes and innocent weeps a direct parallel of Lila herself.

"GAHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Make it stop! Make it stop! Please, oh Arceus, Darkraise, anyone! Make it stop! take my soul, rip away all my powers, take my brain, my vital functions! Rip my life away, just get me out of HEREEEEEEEEEEE!"

She shrieked, the spell being broken as she wrenched herself from the kneeling position she maintained over the pond. The muscles in the calves of her legs rotten and useless, she resorted to dragging herself against the charred ground, the rigid bumps of bone only serving to hinder her movement. Finally, her efforts leaving her exhausted and without much will, Lila let out a moan that soon escalated into a wail, searing eyes closing against the flames, the rank, rotten smell, the boiling animals, the pleas of the Skeleton, everything, submitting herself to joiningthem, soul already signed over in her head, as the entity from the shadows only expanded his grin, stepping forth to claim the mind, soul, and powers of the new dark Goddess he was to create. He had begun his descent to the platform where she rested, the concoction of the various fears he had brewed in collaboration with her self-conscious, only for another form to breathlessly reach Lila's side before him, dispelling the grin, and grinding the dark entity to an incredulous halt. Tearfully, Lila glanced up to behold a form, the single most beautiful sight Lila had laid eyes on in her entire three months of living, a living, breathing, picturesque statue of a man, hovering compassionately over her. Instinctively raising a hand to block any assaults the man might fire on her, a weathered hand only caught the wrist of this appendage, rather than pulling her up, using her resistance to pull him down into a kneeling position at her side. Two charcoal horns began somewhere above either of the boy's temples, the bony structures menacing in themselves, but on the boy, appearing as if they had been placed on him as a sentence, a sentence to keep all others from discovering his otherwise impeccable beauty, and dark magnificence. A leather tail hosting a minature spade at the end trailed the chalky ground, and wings of the same fabric, vast, powerful wings of black leather beating harmlessly, a contradiction to themselves, the air they breached was what captivated Lila's attention next. Tears rapidly drying up, emotions of panic, doom, and dispair dissipating in a matter of moments gave way to sheer awe, and as the heart-shaped face framing the man's gentle features pressed itself closer to her own, familiar hazy neon eyes, gaseous and brilliant, shifting occaisionally to yellow, occaisionally to red burned into her own, and in that moment, Lila's heart felt as if it had caught fire.

She could scarcely breathe as the man's chapped lips parted to reveal an over-extended pair of razor canines, that grazed the outer regions of her ear as he whispered into it.

"The nightmare won't last long..."

And with that, the boiling sensation faded, the flames died down, the toxins, no longer seducing Lila's vital organs and now strangling them, faded reluctantly, leaving only herself, the Demon kneeling at her side, and the Shadow entity, her swore as he felt his own power ebbing away, and therefore, stole unwillingly from her mind, needng to recover from his second conecutive failed attempt.

"Wolfsbane, your reign of protection over her will soon be short-lived. Make the most of what you have, for once your time is up,it's up for good."

Eyelids fluttering open with a gasp, Lila's sat up to almost send herself catapulting over the side of a pair of arms. Glancing blankly up, her eyes met those of Lance, who grinned connivingly, a playful foxy light entering his eyes, as secretively, he pulled her significantly closer to his chest.

"Your own personal knight in shining armor has saved you, once again. First, from loneliness, and now, the flames that would've accounted for your surefire death. How about a little kiss to return the favor?"

Lila sweatdropped, and uncomfortable with the sudden chumminess of her and Lance, or the obvious friends with benefits status he imagined she owed him, scanned the remainder of the group for aid. If anyone were to put him in his place, it would be Iris, but to Lila's amazement, it was a fully recuperated Bane who came to her rescue.

"Back off her, casanova! Can't you give her a little breathing room? She just woke up from the coma of a lifetime, for Chrissakes! Besides.." He tacked on with a conspiratorial grin.

"Her morning breath is rank, and if I were to hit that, i'd at least give it another ten minutes.." He cackled, not quite the heartfelt save Lila had been dreaming of, but a rescue nevertheless. Lance grimaced, smiling silent gratitude at Bane, and then willingly handing her over to the disguised Shuppet.

"You can thank me later.." Bane whispered with a final wink. Lila could only smile in obvious affection. The dreamy Bane had retreated into the depths of her imagination, and the old one was back. Order had been restored..
