Nice Pallet Town. It's much bigger then the original one xD
Btw I might already asked but which tiles did ya use?

I am using Punk Rocker's Rombase(OHH I GOTTA GIVE CREDIT@_@)
Btw can you see that slanting ground near Hero's House?
Those are made by me...You know it useful not to have stairs too to add nice effects
I got the idea by watching the Slowpoke Well Trailer of HGSS :P

Looks good. Is the waterfall significant or not?

That Pallet Town I don't really like. First, in all original Pokemon Games, there were trees around the whole map in every area. You might want to fix that. Second, cities don't have tall grass. I think you should cut all of it out. But without it, the town will look plain(actually it does already), so I suggest condensing the town and making its width... less wide. And cut out the waterfall completely. If you want a waterfall(which I think would be nice), make the cliff where the lab is on a little higher up. Other than that, nice work! (and nice tiles!)

You need to work on your Maps, Dark Prince.
I think it would be better if you add more trees and make the waterfall higher.

A Suggestion

Just a suggestion: perhaps you could add a very small cave under the piece of land that river also travels under. It might be a nice addition for later on in the game, and might also be a place to hide something there (maybe a rare Pokemon or a rare item?).

Maybe the area with the grass should be blocked off, that way you can't get into any battles without any pokemon. Later on in the game you could battle mr mime there in an event.

Oh I just forgot to tell this to you
The grass you are talking about is just some grass in Proffesor Oak's Ranch..Without any wild Pokemon :D
And Rakyu that's a nice idea
Thanks for that
I can make it some area to find some rare pokemon which can only be unlocked if we do some task :P

I think you should change more things about it. Here we go...

1. Put trees around the WHOLE town. Like in this image.
[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon Gotta Catch Em All!

This is a route in FR/LG. As you can see, there are trees SURROUNDING the whole route. ALL the routes and MAPS in EVERY MAIN GAME(including the old Gameboy Color and Gameboy games) had trees around the whole map, like this. Try changing it.

2. The space looks much better now, but still, it looks plain. Put more flowers and dot random bushes and trees here and there. You've done this already, and it looks very nice. But do it more. If that approach doesn't work, try putting more houses.

3. I can see quite a few tile errors. First, the bridge going over the lake isn't a bridge. It's a mountain. Try to put a bridge tile. Second, on the same bridge, there is no staircase leading down the right, and it looks weird to say the least. Make a custom side stair tile, or add more tiles on the right to make the bridge mountain larger, then do a loop and make a stair in front like the one in front of Oak's lab. If you replace the mountain with a bridge, you won't even have this problem. Finally, the huge mountain has a few errors. I have marked them on your map.
[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon Gotta Catch Em All!

First, at the bottom left, the second and third level of the cliff just END. Make the loop just like the first level. If you need to, redesign the whole map and move the lab somewhat over to the right to cover up the empty space and leave room for more levels of mountain on the left side and a bigger garden. On the bottom right, make the mountainside loop all the way across the top and connect to the top left hill where the lab is on. At the top left, behind the grove of trees, there should be a tile like the one on the top of the following image. That way it looks like the mountain ends.
[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon Gotta Catch Em All!

Also, in the same area, look at the cliff walls on the side. The first level should end one tile up and loop around using the tile I told you about.

4. The river. Change its width and make it narrower. I like how you changed the waterfall, but make the river narrower. Also, make the whole mountain less square. Give it... interest. Make it zig-zag this way and that. A real mountain isn't exactly square, right?

5. Change the bottom, where the sign is. It's bland. And plain. When you edit the mountain and make it zag, make it bigger and have it take up lots of space there. And add trees. And dot random scenery here and there, such as bushes and flowers. That should make it look better.

I'll keep on checking on this.

Looks better to me, but where is Oak's Ranch, is it in the cut out?

Yo Master, your map of Pallet Town looks better every time you update it.

Hey Dp! Doing a good job! Please dont quit and keep on improving^_^. I am not any sort of mapper or spriter but I think that the cliff where oak's lab is located(near the waterfall) appears hanging on the other cliff. Hope this helps:D!

The map is looking better, however I still have a few things to add ><:

As Pokedude said early, make the mountains more varied with less straight lines, here is an example of some mountains I did in a town (linky), see how the levels differ and it juts out at places?

I'm glad there is a border now! :D However there is a hole at the bottom left (as the gap between those trees is enough) and I think the gap on the bottom right should be gotten rid of too >< You don't want too many points of exit from Pallet town.

The middle of the map could do with some flowers, and there should be some big trees in between all those smaller ones. (Big trees look good when block edited with the other trees (: )

Slight tile error, bottom right of the mountain ledge, the last cliff edge on the top level should be a normal ledge not a corner :).

Thats it! Your mapping is improving greatly since you started, go for it.
