Hack of: Fire Red

Well,my first hack didn't go well,but i didnt expect it to. I was really just trying to get the feel of hacking. Im better at mapping,and i now know what it REALLY takes to make a hack. Not just mapping all day ;PI also have a better tileset,now onto the story,hopefully this wont get ruined!

Story: The story...well...there is no story,really. I thought it would be really cool to just have a hack without all those boring storylines eg: You find out Dialga is terrorizing the city of ____ and you must stop it!" I mean c'mon, dont you think it would be fun to play a game where you can CHOSE to battle leaders, or just battle for fun? With new maps and a dp tileset,this is possible ;P TELL ME WAT U THINK OF THIS ERM....STORY.

100% fun
gym leaders are optional
Cool new starters i always thot would be interesting..
Do things the way YOU wanna do it,not protecting the region from evil Palkia -_-
Loads of new events
New rivals,and old ones from the series!

Hehe, looking goods, I like the idea of just sort of training if you feel like it, and doing whatever you like. It would be great for casual players, who don't like following a story, because when I do that, I forget what the story is. Good luck!

Thanx Vengeance and Gold Tom! Yea,i hate all those cool new games with a bad storyline. I jsut thought it would be cool to go through towns/cities as u like.Only real part will be optional missions for TMs.So Vengeance ull be my scripter?Gold Tom.if you like you can too! anyhow by for now...ill start mapping some more tommrow



EDIT: olmost forgot. Any ideas for a new name?Happiness was the pre-name i guess. I'm thinkin Pokemon Laid Back?

Well the story is.. there is no main story. Like, "become a Pokemon champian, beat all 8 gyms" "save the world from the awakening of groudon" ect.. it's just like. Free roaming sorta thing, with side-quests. I think, you do what ever when ever.

Thx 4 the ideas! I was thinking....If i can insert dp pokemon then munchlax will be only starter,if not,they will be Aipom,pikachu,tailow. Wierd mix,and pikachu and tailow mite not be in,give ideas! Thx. I just gotta edit 1 More city (fluerona town -_-) and connect 1 more map before i hand the .ips over to Vengeance so he can script. In the beggining there wont be too many scripts in the beggining,a couple of trainer battles once in a while,few rivals etc. A fun little events (of evil) will take event in Fleurona Town so be prepared for some newbie fun! Anyways sorry 4 no updates recently...heres some screenies~~!

Well it should not take u longer than the weekend.I shall give it to u around Friday/Sat after eeveon is finished with the signposts -_- and all u have to script,really is some trainer/rival battles,and....i guess thats it. ull be scripting Pallet(Starter Town)where u meet some rivals,i already changed the Pokemon.

Thx Tim! Uhh well about May,that old person is just supposed to resemble Ash,ull find out later ;p the ledges will stay (no u dont jump into the trees because i changed them backwards)anyways thx everybody.

Oh and Starter town(pallet town) went over a HUGE makeover,its olmost twice as big with new connecting routes,closer to the sea,and 2 rivals ;)
