Well, I'm merely happy by the fact that he's started posting again! I like
that Flarenix the hero's battling against. Very nice sprites indeed.

That's a great battle system, it looks incredibly like the group battle sys..
The sprites are almost identicle..
Well there are certain differences anyway. How did you do all of that?
If i'm not wrong, it's based on the group battle sys.
But you should wait till Phoenix replies

It is the group battle system. It's funny, because most of the graphics I ripped myself but the core of the coding was from the group CBS.
Yeah I have been updating the graphics lately.. It would be interesting to see how the two of them compared...

Some new in game screens:
[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon: Hidden Depths

Ixora Forest. Redesigned to look more like a forest.
[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon: Hidden Depths

Custom Menu. The bottom four options are fully functional.
[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon: Hidden Depths

PokeNav. The time display, ID, money and badge parts are complete. So is the Dates part. The interface isn't final. SaintBeast will probably make it more professional but that's how everything will look.
I have 2 more days of college and then a week off so progress and updates will be more frequent.

Wow that's kool! I like your textbox.. Looks good. The forest looks great.. Not like those crappy pokemon (insert version here) forests.. They are just too linear..
If you go to the Pokemon Shiny thread then there is a download of Pokemaster_Shiny's pokedex which he put up a while ago.. That would make a good start. I am working on an item system which you could probably use in your game.. You wouldn't have to change very much because it is designed for the battle system anyway.. Anyway Thx for the nice screenies and updates, good to see you still care about this project :).

Whoa dude you tottally rock at making this game. I don't know how you make it with RM2K3 without lots of variables and not running out.

You can have a total of 5000 variables and 5000 switches. I don't
consider it as easy to use all of them.

Anyway, I especially like that forest map. Dead ends, plenty of directions
are what make a forest. You've done an extreme amount of work! One thing
that I would change is the coordinates of the text box so that the Y coordinate
is closer to the menu above it.

I actually had some of the PokeDex code done already. I think though that I'll change it and use a map instead of using loads of pictures. That way adding 500 PokeDex entries will be a lot easier. I knew you were doing the item system so I didn't bother with it.

How did you know that..? Oh well.. All you need next is a pokemon selection menu and you're CMS is done :D!

500? That's a lot of pokemon.. Good luck with it :)

I kinda need a break from that now so I'm gonna go back and do some map refining because I feel that they're not as good as they could be.
It's good to hear a lot of dedication in your work. I'm sure that your work will *shine*

Thanks to my graphics artist, SaintBeast, who's given a lot of time to this project, this game should be looking a whole lot better now that he is working on chipsets as well as new Pokemon. I've seen about 20-25 sketches of Pokemon he has drawn and they are awesome and original and hopefully I'll be able to show a few of them in the next demo.

Those screens are wicked this game looks cool
i hope it never dies!!!!!!!!!
can't wait for the next demo

Cigarettes :chinese:

Thats not bad work! I've been working on a snow set but I never thought of doing the tree's like that... Anyway great work I can't wait to play it :) !
