OOC: Yeah, you GMed Skie too. She'd jump at the chance to make a new aquintance. Stop doing that, alright?

IC:

"Nice to meet you Sheba." Felix said, now feeling considerably more at ease, despite the presence of Pete and his Bagon, the colour of his cheeks returning to normal again. "I'm from Hoenn myself. And yeah, Skie evolving into a dragon...it's a strange picture, isn't it?" he added, chuckling at the Swablu's excitement. "But pok?mon are such strange creatures. I've heard of a breed of remora pok?mon that turn into octopuses. Can't remember what they're called though...anyway as for 'Run Away'...I think my brother mentioned that pok?mon had something called 'traits' which they can use, maybe it's one of those?" he glanced at Sheba's note, briefly wondering where his own one had dissapeared before continuing. "I've no idea how to use them though."

"Swaa!" Skie exclaimed, finally noticing the dragon type who was trying to make contact with her and flapping over to the Bagon in her usual almost annoyingly energetic way, "Swaa-aaab-abluu!" she explained excitedly, apparently introducing herself as she performed a short bow as well. "Swaab-ab-ab-ab-abluuu!"

ooc:Woops sorry. I promise not to do it again and will edit that.
oooc:Hey, ? accent for pok?mon. Hold CTRL and ALT and press E to get one.

"Hi, I'm Pete," he said to the boy and girl, "and this guy here is Kyver, the Bagon."
Kyver smiled. "Bagon, Gon Bag, Bagon."

"You blockhead!"Pete said to himself,"You muck up in front of a girl!"

"I'm from nowhere in paticular. My dad was always moving around, being a pok?mon researcher, and my brother was endlessly preparing for the gym challenges," Pete continued, "then he got round to doing it and got all eight Hoenn and Johto badges. Now he's on the Kanto Badges."

Kyver was busy doing something bad in the corner. A weird smell drifted up from it.

The eevee peered out from Sheba's arms, a look of confusion on her face. Her ears twitched, and she glanced up at her trainer. Sheba, however, had her attention on Felix.

"Hoenn? I wet there on Holiday once, with my parents." She smiled at the memory, "It was a pretty botched holiday. We stayed in this tree village, which was awesome, and we saw loads of these big brown grass pokemon, callled... uh...Tropius... but it rained every day. We ended up just sitting inside and playing cards."
She rubbed her eevee behind the ears.
"Your trait's Run Away, eh, my sweet? Are you a bit of a coward?" she cooed, and the eevee yipped in answer. Sheba bent down, and put her on the floor beside Skie and Kyver, but the little eevee ran and hid behind Sheba's legs, her white fur on end.

ooc| no worries. Just thought I'd point it out ^^;

"Oh, I'm Felix. And my Swablu's called Skie." Felix replied, acknowledging Pete's introduction before he turned his attention back to Sheba's words.

"Fortree City." the boy said in a slightly dreaming voice, not a hard deduction considering the amount of tree cities in Hoenn "I've always wanted to see it. I've heard that it's so...beautiful, and I've been told that there are some really great pok?mon around those parts as well, but the closest thing to a trip that my family has any interest in making is the one to the pretty petal flower shop." he grimaced, obviously indicating that it wasn't really his idea of a great time "My mom's an amateur gardener. The Petalburg Woods were pretty cool though." he threw a glance at the Eevee who was busy hiding behind Sheba's legs, from Kyver and Skie apparently. "She sure is a shy one." he commented "But Run Away could be useful though, I wonder what Skie's trait is. Do you know, Skie?"

The Swablu tilted her head and looked up at Felix, her expression turning to one of immense concentration for a while. "Swaaa..." she finally replied, shaking her head and performing something of a shrug "Swaa-bluu."

Sheba laughed, bending down to scoop her eevee up again. It gave an evident sigh of relief, glad to be away from the other, far more boisterous pokemon.
"Not quite a champion battler yet, are you? We'll get there, though. We'll get there." Sheba cradled the little normal type in her arms once more, and grinned at Pete and Felix.
"Gardener, eh? Ah well, at least she enjoys it. My Mother is a internationally best-selling author. She wrote 'From oceon to earth', that was made into a film recently. My Dad used to bank, but now we can live off what my Mother makes." Sheba doubted Felix would of heard of even her most popular novels. They were the usual aimed-at-women sort of drivel, about passionate love lives in exotic places. 'From Oceon to Earth', was possibly her most action packed book, and it involved a beautifull young accountant, who decided to travel across the regions to find her love, who had gone away to train with his charizard. Sounds interesting, but it was actually a load of heart-wrenching, tear-jerking mumbo-jumbo.

She watched the swablu fondly. "It sure is pretty... so fluffy!" Her eevee gave an indigment squeak, and Sheba hugged it close again. "But you are just so cute!"

"From ocean to earth..." Felix repeated, the title sounded vaguely familiar "Is that a...you know...kind of mushy sort of novell? Because I think I saw something like that in my mom's bookshelf, and she's into books of...that kind." he shrugged, obviously denoting that he didn't share his mother's taste in litteartue. "And yeah, she sure enjoys her work, loves it in fact. But it looks quite funny when she goes about hugging and talking to her plants, you'd almost thinks she loves them more than her own children. Although I suppose that she thinks of them as such. She's always saying that gardening is all about love and carefull nurture, and that raising children is just the same. Sometimes she even quotes some of those sappy novells of hers." he shuddered at those memories "But at least she cares. My dad thinks it's all semantic nonsense though, he's an academic through and through, works for professor Elm as an assistant. We don't really see him around the house much."

At Sheba's later comment, Skie puffed up her plumage a bit more and assumed a slightly better posture, letting out a happy squawk and beaming at the girl, obviously enjoying the compliment.

"Yeah, she sure is." Felix concured, patting the Swablu on the head "But don't let the compliments get to your head, missy."

"Blu." the bird pok?mon puffed in a dismissive tone, as if to signify that she considered her trainer's last remark completely nonsensical, as if she would ever be vain.

"Just making sure." Felix replied with a chuckle "I wish I could understand what they were saying, though." the boy added out of the blue, his eyes gaining a slightly distant look to them again.

Sheba smiled. "We'll probably get classes on it. Like, 'poketongue for beginners'."
Sheba was probably as 'beginner' as you could get. Before this morning, her experiences of pokemon had been restricted to books and television. Her parents were both strictly self-reliant, and often said; 'the things you need pokemon for, aren't worth doing'.
"I guess you know quite a bit already, if you're Dad's a professor." she said, unable to hide the awe in her voice. She was impressed, that much was obvious. "I mean, what do qualified pokemon trainers do for a living? Other than become a professor or battle?"
Her father had told her, only yesterday, that attending a school that based it's curriculem solely around pokemon was a bad idea, because it left you with no job opportunities in later life. Sheba didn't care. She wanted a pokemon, but even more than that, she wanted to give her parents a kick in the teeth.

Occ: wow you guys moved fast since my last post. ok gotta do some catching up.
Yukiro walked into the large building of pokemon high. he had, had to take a bout to Cinnibar, "hmm this is pretty overwelming" he said approching the receptionists desk. as he came to a stop the receptionist looked at him. " can i help you?" she asked.
"Uhh, yeah I'm a new student here." he Yukiro replays
"Oh, ok go to that room over there and you'll be all set." she points to the room with a smile.
"ok thank you." he tells her and heads for the door. after stepping in the room he can see it was not a class room since there were no students. he walks around the room looking at the desks and sees one with his name on it. he touches the screen and sees a personality test and fills it out. at the end he gets a weird code NSHER. he looks up and a lady walks over with several aggs and looks down at his code with a smile. she puts two eggs on a desk and hands him the third thats in her hand. "good luck with that pokemon." she said walking away. he lloked at the egg for a moment ans it started to hatch. looking at the pokemon that just poped out was a sandshrew after the hatching a print out came out of the desk and Yukiro took a glance he should be at lunch right know. "oh boy here starts my education." he said running his eyes over his room number 467 he heads for the room. when he gets there he puts his stuff away and heads for lunch. when he reaches the Lunch room he sees a lot of trainers. he see's a group of trainers about his age and decides to say hi.
"Um, sorry to interupt, but I'm new and you guys seem to be new so, i just wanted to intriduce my self. i think we are class mates. I'm Yuriko." he says smileing at the three.

"Oh that would be great..." Felix replied, grinning slightly "I hope we don't have to learn to pronounce though, I'm horrible at pronouncing foreign languages. Oh, and I'm not sure I'm all that knowledgable." he added modestly, noticing that he seemed to have made an impression on the girl "My dad is mostly out doing fieldwork, but I learned quite a bit about the local pok?mon on the few occasions he let me come with him. It mostly concerns ordinary pok?mon like Zigzagoons and Lotads, though. And my siblings taught me a bit now and again." he smiled at the thought "Sometimes I even got to borrow my sister's Houndoom and battle with it." his eyes grew distant once more as he pictured these occasions in his mind's eye "Anyhow, as for what qualified trainers do for a l?ving...well, I suppose it's generally done by battling or working for various laboratories, but there's a lot more to it really. I mean, there's this big moving company in Hoenn that operates with trained pok?mon, and I bet a good psychic pok?mon could help you if you wanted to become a good psychologist or something. Then there's always work in pok?mon centers as well, not to mention contest coordinating, or the pok?mon day-cares. And of course grass and water types help out with gardening. There are lots of opportunities really, people generally just don't realize them."

Skie was feeling disgruntled and fluttered up to Felix's left shoulder, nudging the boy slightly with her beak. Felix absent-mindedly began scratching the Swablu behind her right ear, causing the bird pok?mon to let out a delighted squeal.

"Did you have any kind of career in mind?" he asked after a pause.

Sheba watched his swablu, as her own eevee watched it suspiciously from her arms.
"Well..." she paused for a moment, wondering whether she should divulge this piece of information with a boy she had just met. In the end, she decided she would. "I saw this boy while I was in fortree city... He was herding tropiuses, with his charizard. They worked so well as a pair, that's what made me want to start training pokemon. He owned a ranch, or something, and it seemed like such a lovely career..."
She trailed off, a wistfull look in her eyes.
"Still don't know what to call this little one." she tickled the eevee under the skin. It was amazing how easy it was to bond with one's pokemon - Sheba thought it would be a hard, back-breaking affair, but she had known the little white rabbit-dog for less than an hour, and she was already beginning to look up at Sheba like a trainer.

ooc| Urgh... I'm going out again. I might not be here for the rp this afternoon, Alter. If I'm not, carry on without me =) Oh, and the boy and his charizard are both really old characters of mine...had them since Sapphire came out in Japan. xD

Amy stepped up to meet her egg. The egg was pure blue, with a shell of a turtle. Opening it up, it had a Squirtle in it, and it blew a few bubbles to Amy.

"That's funny, Squirtle." Amy said. "Your name's Bubbles."

Returning the Squrtle into the Poke Ball, she walked back to her desk. Some of the others were talking to each other, already.

OOC: I think I've heard you mention guy actually. Wasn't he called Rod? A real cheerfull kind of person? Anyhow, enjoy your time out. ^^

IC:

Skie cocked her head towards the Eevee as she noticed the suspicious look that the normal type was giving her. "Swa-swwaabluu-uu-swa?" she enquired.

"A ranch owner." Felix said, nodding "I see you've obviously put more thought into this than I have." he smiled again "I mainly wanted to become a trainer because of two reasons; one, both my siblings are trainers, and I got to live with theirs so long that I've grown to love pok?mon." he scratched his Swablu behind the ear a bit more "I don't think I'd be able to live without them anymore. And two..." he seemed to become slightly detached from the present world again as he took a brief pause "...I've always wanted to fly. To travel to places I've never been instead of learning about them from some dusty old book. To soar like a bird without a care in the world. To experience everything that life has in store for me, both good and bad..." he came a bit closer to the present again, grinning sheepishly at his own enthusiaism "I suppose that sounds kind of silly." he added "But that's what I want. As for your Eevee." he took a glance at the snow-white creature cradled in Sheba's arms "How about...Iumi? I don't know if it means anything in particular, she just looks like an Iumi to me."

OOC: I forgot how fast these move... ^_^;

"Well, I guess the better eggs take longer..." Silver held an egg with vanilla swirls on it close to him in his arm, waiting for it to hatch. It sure was taking it's sweet time. Silver was about to put the egg down when there was a cracking noise. Hatching time had begun.
A large crack split through the egg, cutting right through the swirls. Silver wanted to lift the top off the egg, but didn't because the Pokemon decided when it wanted to come out, not the trainer. The top shot off the egg almost suddenly, and Silver had to scoop the Pokemon out of the egg and use the other half to catch it. As he set the eggshells on a table, something fuzzy brushed against his shoulder.
Silver looked at where he put his Pokemon to see what it was. It was brown and white, with a fuzzy tail and pointy little ears. An Eevee, like the one he had back home.
"If this thing eats half as much as Mom's does, I had better have a snack handy at all times..." Silver grinned and rubbed it behind it's ears. The Eevee pressed against his hand, getting the absolute maximum from his scratching. Silver tried to think of a nickname for his new partner.
"Fuzzy? Nah, too little-kidish. Squirrel? Too obvious. Fluffy? Nope, this is an Eevee, not a cat. Hmmm..." Eevee yawned and curled up in a ball in Silver's arms. "Well, I guess you'll stay as Eevee."

OOC:God this is fast. Been at a friends.

IC:Kyver glared down at what he had made. It was brown and smelly. It was.....

"Hey, Kyver, what the hell are you doing with that Pok?choc past its eat-by-date?" yelled Pete angrily. Kyver rubbed his stomach. "Oh, you're hungry," Pete understood. He went into the canteen. The food was amazing, both Pete and Kyver got seconds.
Afterwards, Pete headed to his afternoon lesson, Item Science. The lab in which it took place was muggy and full of different gases. The teacher, Miss Haines got them learning on Fusion, and today was the easiest bit-Berry Fusion. Pete was given a Pecha Berry, and a Sitrus Berry. He used the Duo Needle and Mix-Marker to make a hybrid berry- the Sitpech Berry. He gave the small poisonneedle to Kyver then gave him the Berry. Kyver's stats on the palm changed. He got an OK rating rather than a PSN rating. Pete got top marks. He checked his watch. 15:27. Someone had mentioned that there was a trip in a week to the Safari Zone. Ahh well, tonight there were battles.

Yuriko sat next to a boy who had mixed two berrys to heal poison. He hadn't done as good as the boy next to him. " hey you seem pretty good at what your doing. i was wondering if you could help me next class?" he asks the boy "oh by the way my names Yuriko." he says. "hey, are you going to the battles tonite." Yuriko asked the boy.

{ooc| That?s the one! He?s like a child? *smiles fondly*}

Sheba grinned. ?Well?I was home-schooled, and I pretty much breezed through it. Got all the top grades, got accepted into every grammar school I applied to, and all that. Then I thought? is this honestly what I want with my life? Letters and numbers??
She paused, suddenly extremely deep for a twelve-year-old.
?Maybe called her?Lumi? She is quite bright?? the little eevee gave a squeak of approval. ?I meant colour wise! But who knows, you might be a genius too.? She cooed.

Pete noticed the student next to him had asked him a question. "Uh-huh, I'm really excited. I've always enjoyed battling. My brother had a Hitmontop, a Pidgeot and a Mightyena and he used to battle my dad a lot. So yeah, I'm definately there. Oh and lessons are done for today," he said back to the boy, "I'm Pete and this is Kyver, my Bagon. Kyver pepped out a growl of agreement. "Hey, we're allowed into town now. I'm going to train up. Wanna join me?" asked Pete to Yukiro.

OOC: Oooh, that's kind of funny with the nickname idea. Because 'Lumi' is finnish for 'Snow'! XD You might have known that though.

IC:

Top marks? This time it was Felix's turn to be impressed. He had never seen a top mark student who wasn't an insuferrable narcisist and bookworm "Genius?" he echoed, chuckling a bit "Perhaps, but a very whimsical genius in that case. I've never been a top-grade student myself." he grinned at some of his school time memories that came flashing past "It's not like I was that terrible at anything." he added "I mean, my dad did make sure that I learned to read and write at a very early age, and it wasn't like the schoolwork was hard or anything, I just couldn't seem to bring myself to do it properly. My teachers were always telling me that I could achieve great things if I just put my mind to it but..." he took a brief pause, his right hand drawing a circle in the air as he attempted to find the right words "It was just that all that stuffy reading and paperwork made it all so boring, you know? All those wonderfull things and beautiful sights, I couldn't help imagining what they were like in real life." he shrugged "I realized pretty soon that I could never become a professor like my dad. My heart just isn't in it." Felix took a brief pause, contemplating Sheba's idea for the name "And Lumi sounds like a great name." he added, smiling in approval "If it comes intuitively then it comes from the heart. And in the end it's always best to listen to your heart." he trailed off once more, his eyes growing distant as he petted Skie in a half-attentive manner "Man, I'm beginning to sound like my mom now." he laughed, shaking his head at the ridiculousness of the thought "I'm brooding too much again. Anyhow" he said, casting a quick glance at a clock on the wall "it looks like it's about time to get to class. It looks like I've got..." he traced the little piece of paper, this one which he fortunately hadn't misplaced, with his right index finger until he came to the desired spot "Nothing at all." he concluded, folding up the piece of paper and slipping it back into one of his pockets with a contented smile "Lessons are over for the day it seems. So, want to go take a look around town?"

"sure i'd be glad to. Your the only one whos actually talked to me today he said putting his things away. oh this is Rizzor hes my Sandshrew." he says. " how old is your brother, he must be a good trainer to have those pokemon." he said a little in aww. " My dad was a good trainer but he went MIA in the feild studying a pack of Scythers. My mom didn't want me to become a trainer. but i told i had to." he said to Pete. "i can't wait to battle." he said patting his Rizzor on the head. "San.. Sand... Shrew."' it said almost in agreement.

Bending down to put Lumi back on the ground, Sheba couldn't help glancing up at Felix, and examining him out of the corner of her eye. She hadn't known many boys - or girls, for that matter - her own age when she was home-schooled, but for some reason, talking was coming naturally.

"Because I was home-schooled, I guess I never had a chance to boast about my brains." she said wryly, as if reading his mind. "Loads of people have treated me harsly 'cause of that. When my parents introduce me, they say: 'this is Sheba, our little child prodigy, you know?' and they drone on about me for hours. Most kids turn up their noses."
she sighed, and ran a hand through her short blonde hair. "I guess I've always loved books. They're a way to get past the body's limitations, y'know? I can forget I'm just a short little blonde girl, and imagine I'm a warrior. Like you and your dreams of flying..."
She glanced at her own timetable, which was stapled to her pokemon's form. "I have biology first thing tomorrow, but today I have a blank time table. Maybe we could get some food, too?" she asked, stroking her chin.

{ooc| It was a lucky guess. You said Iumi - which made me think of the Illuminati... which made me think of just Lumi. Ho ho, Sheba's based off my friend... Coran's based off my other friend... just wait until you meet the character that's based off me.}
