OOC: Once again Charon-chan, that is something I've just got to see. XD
IC:
"Good idea." Felix replied, nodding, "I'm sure we could all use something to eat after a hard day of education, right Skie?"
"Swa!" the bird pok?mon concured enthusiastically, resuming her busy zooming around Felix and performing an elegant loop in mid-air. It would practically be her first own meal ever and she could barely contain the excitement.
"And I'm sorry that people treated you like that." he added in response to her earlier comment "I certainly didn't mean to imply that you're...well, you know...because you're not." his voice actually sounded serious and properly present for once "I'm sure a lot of those people are just jealous because they really want to be like you but know that they can't. Anyway if it makes you feel better, I've got a bit of experience in the field of parental humiliation as well." he cast a quick glance about the room to make sure that no-one else was within earshot and dropped his voice as an extra precaution before continuing "Whenever my mom introduces me to one of her friends she calls me..." he blushed a bit out of embarssment over the thought "...she calls me her 'lovechild'." he concluded quietly "Care to guess how boys my age tend to interpret that?" the boy asked, shrugging and then dismissing the matter altogether after a while. It was strange though, he came to think, strange how easy it was to talk with Sheba. Felix wasn't usually very keen on sharing things about himself, especially with strangers, yet somehow it just seemed natural to do it now. Somehow he just knew that she wouldn't mock him for these humiliating experiences
"Anyway." Felix continued after a pause, not wanting to dwell on the subject of maternal embarassments "I think I know what you mean about books, and it's not like they're bad as such. I mean, I do read on occasion." he took a pause again, his voice retaining its almost unnatural degree of sincerity "It just that...well, once you've read through a book, the fantasy is over. It's like growing wings and just getting a taste of how great it is to fly before getting chained back to the ground you thought you had escaped and having your wings removed, never to be able to experience that wonderfull feeling again. I guess I just can't handle that too well." he concluded "Dreams are very important to me, Sheba. No matter how foolish they might seem to others." he stroked Skie once more as the Swalu zoomed past at a suitable spot. "That's why I prefer to keep the stories in my head where they can live forever."
"Now come on." he said, his previous carefree manner returning and a wide grin spreading across his face "Let's go see if we can find something to eat before we starve to death."
Skie rolled her little Swablu eyes at Felix's sudden mood changes, even though she hadn't met all that many humans yet she somehow knew that her trainer wasn't excactly normal. She didn't mind too much though. After all, even if he was a loon, at least he was a loon who had just promised her food.
