Pokemon: Hope (PG 14)

Yoshi didn't open his eyes. He had stopped crying but he kept them closed. "Don't blame yourself. Its my fault for being an idiot and going out alone. If I hadn't had left then Umbreon would still be here. He would still be an active member of the family" He was sad but didn't show it anymore. He showed anger. "I will finish Team ROCKET IF ITS THE LAST THING I DO!" He said covering Liliths ears so he wouldn't hurt them. He held her tight before releasing her and letting out Tauros. He returned Snivs and reached for Umbreons pokeball but then remembered. He didn't get rid of the pokeball. He stuck it in his backpack then said, "I'll meet you guys at the next city." Rave landed on Yoshi's shoulder and Tauros began to run off towards the next town.
 
Lilith whimpered after Yoshi left he had said no more going off on your own and then he left her. Duke growled his opinion of Yoshi falling at that as Lilith picked up the gun and her bag and ran off the way Yoshi had heading to the next town as well leaving a message for Natalie to head to Dewford Town. By the time she reached Dewford Town she had been caught by a group of Team Rocket and shot and killed them but during the fight her ankle snapped. When she finally stumbled into the town she was relying on a walking stick she had found to keep her standing.
 
Aero didn't respond to Snivs' plan. After Snivs repeated it, he said, "Never mind, Aero." Aero went into the cabin and looked at Natalie. Natalie was sitting against the wall with a blank expression, not moving since earlier that morning. Yoshi left, and Lilith also left soon after. Aero waited, but Natalie continued staring at nothing. Aero walked over to her and blew fire near her face. "Chaaaaaar!" he said. Natalie just blinked. Aero tilted his head and then pulled Natalie's hair so hard, she fell to her side. "I'm hallucinating!" she exclaimed, not even getting up. "Charmeleon!" Aero cried angrily. "All right, all right. Sheesh," Natalie said, getting up and seeing Lilith's message to go to Dewford. "We have to go home, remember?" Natalie asked Aero, reminding him about giving Sunday away to her mother. She walked out of the cabin and looked around. "I miss my car," she said with a slight grin. "Go! Skarmory!" she called, tossing a pokéball. "Can you go to Littleroot?" Natalie asked him. "Skar!" Skarmory replied in agreement. Natalie and Aero got on his back, and he flew them back to Littleroot.
Natalie got off Skarmory and told him to wait there. She went in her house as quietly as she could. "I want to do this quick," Natalie whispered to Aero. She tossed Sunday's pokéball. "This is your new home, enjoy," Natalie said to Sunday, patting her head. "Take care of... Mother," she said before leaving. She hopped on Skarmory's back. "Dewford Town next, Skarmory," Natalie told him. "Skar!" Skarmory replied, and flew over to Dewford.
 
When Yoshi reached Dewford town he was challenged to a Pokemon battle. He accepted it and used Snivs first. The kid used a Squirtle. He told Snivs to use grass mixer easily getting the win and continuing on to Dewford's gym. When he got there he asked for a gym challenge. The guy behind the counter said "The gym leaders not here right now." theres two gym leaders? Cool. Lilith wanna do a double battle challenge against the gym leaders here?we can easily win. Yoshi sent his telepathic message to Lilith hoping for a response.
 
(OOC: online on phone sorry it's slow) Lilith had found the Pokemon center just as she recieved his message. (Yeah sure after i make sure Nixie's okay. i got jumped by team rocket... Nixie was scratched badly and I think my ankle's either broken or sprained) she sent to him as she limped into the center.
 
Natalie walked through the town, not really knowing what to do next. She saw a small child sitting alone and crying. She looked the other way, trying to ignore the child. Aero ran over to the kid. Natalie looked at him and sighed. The child's eyes widened upon seeing Aero. He cried harder. Natalie walked over to the kid. "Umm… what's the matter?" she asked. The kid said in between sobs, "A man… said… he's…" the child continued to cry. A concerned expression formed on Natalie's face. "He's what?" she asked him softly. "Going to kill my mommy!" the child cried even harder. Natalie scratched her head, trying to think of what to do or say. "Where's your mommy right now?" she asked him. "I don't know!" he replied, sobbing. "Hey! Why are you making that kid cry?!" asked a guy who looked about twenty years old. "I'm--" Natalie tried to answer. "I'll teach you to mess with children! Go, pokéball!" called the guy, and he threw a pokéball. A Makuhita burst out of the pokéball. "Maku!" it said, punching at the air.
Fine, this is what you get for not letting me explain. "Go! Skarmory!" Natalie called, and Skarmory flew over to Makuhita. "Skarmory! Air cutter!" Natalie commanded. "Skar!" Skarmory flew above Makuhita and gashed it with his wings, defeating him instantly. The guy frowned at Natalie. "As I was trying to say before, I found him already crying. Have you seen a strange man around here?" Natalie asked, somewhat surprised that she talked so much, especially to a stranger. "No," the guy said. "But I know this kid's mom. I'm taking him home now," he said bitterly, mad that he was defeated so easily. The guy held the sobbing child by the hand and walked away. Natalie stared at them. "Hey! Do you need something?" called a woman who was watering her plants. Natalie continued staring and then noticed the woman. "Pardon?" Natalie asked. "Do you need something?" the woman asked again. "Ummm… yeah, where's the gym?" Natalie asked her. "Oh, the gym leader isn't here. But the gym is right over there if you'd still like to go," the woman replied, pointing to the gym. She turned back to her plants, not waiting for a response. Natalie looked where she pointed and walked toward the gym. She held out a pokéball and recalled Skarmory. She peered into a window of the gym, but it was hard to see inside.
 
Lilith winced in pain as her ankle was bandaged. "You'll have to make sure you don't put much pressure on it for at least a week that's a pretty bad sprain" Nurse Joy said before turning her attention to Nixie whose face was bleeding from a scratch that was going to leave a scar diagonally across her face.

"I'll make sure of it. Thanks Nurse Joy." Lilith said standing and practicing taking a small step without putting a lot of pressure on her left foot. God D**mit! she thought forgetting Yoshi can hear her thoughts as she put a little to much pressure on her foot.
 
"what the...." Yoshi said hearing the word God D**mit! He walked towards the door as two girls walked in and went into the gym room. "Hey kid. The gym leaders just showed up. You waiting for a friend?" The man behind the counter asked Yoshi. "Yea i'm waiting for someone." Yoshi said waiting for Lilith to show up even thought he knew she was injured. He walked around outside for a couple seconds and ran into Natalie and Aero. "Oh hi guys." Yoshi said startled to run into Natalie here. "The gym leaders just returned. I'm waiting for Lilith to show up." Yoshi said as he watched a little boy the probably the same age as those girls were. theres three gym leaders?!?!?! Yoshi thought, he knew Lilith could hear him. "Natalie would you like to join me and Lilith in this gym battle. Its a triple battle." (yea thats right. I brought the Unova culture to Hoenn)

Once Nixie was taken care of Lilith carefully made her way toward the gym. She was careful of her left foot and was walking with a limp putting next to no pressure on her bad foot. When she reached Yoshi's side she gave him a kiss on the cheek. Nixie looked around wondering where Snivs was as she touched the scar on her face.
 
Snivs saw Nixie and looked at the Scar on her face. "What happened to you Nixie?" Snivs said walking up to Nixie. Yoshi supported Lilith from her left side so she wouldn't fall over. He pressed a button and Tauros popped out. Yoshi put Lilith on Tauros's back because his arm had fallen asleep waiting for the gym leaders to come. "You know that its a triple battle. Waiting for Natalie to see if she comes." Yoshi said watching Tauros lay down next to Yoshi's feet with Lilith on his back. Yoshi was thinking about Umbreon. (you know i'm considering making a Pokemon montage of the Pokemon that I had that died. XD) He thought about how loyal the Pokemon was. His grave wasn't far from where he was. He looked at Lilith asking her hoping she already knew the answer. If she wanted to come see Umbreons grave before they battle the gym leader's.
 
Nixie hugged Snivs "Team Rocket jumped us" she whispered "I got hurt protecting Lilith after she was hurt" she added looking into Snivs eyes. Lilith looked at Yoshi "Thanks" she said when he put her on Tauros's back. When he asked her if she wanted to see Umbreon's grave she answered quickly not having to think about her answer. "Of course Yoshi"
 
"Okay lets go" Yoshi said hopping onto Tauros's back. Tauros walked there. When they reached there he took out a sharp pocket knife. He engraved his name near where he engraved family and friends. He gave the pocket knife to Lilith. "Engrave your name under family or friends. Your choice" Yoshi said. Snivs said "Wont they leave us alone for once. They are probably mad because we took over there HQ in rustboro city." Snivs said trying to comfort her. "They messed up your beautiful face." Snivs said sadly. "Act least you did what you thought was best. I love you because of that." Snivs said giving Nixie a huge hug.
 
Lilith took the pocket knife from him and engraved her name right next Yoshi's before she stood and hugged him "I still blame myself" she whispered resting her head on his shoulder. there was a slight breeze that caused Lilith to shiver and move closer to Yoshi and over the horizon they could see the sun just beginning to set. "I wasn't going to let them hurt her again" Nixie said snuggling close to Snivs blushing as she kissed his cheek "I love you because your protective of those you care about"
 
"Don't blame yourself for what my actions caused. It's my fault that I let Snivs......God father die like that." Thinking of how Umbreon treated Snivs like his own son. He probably had kids. They must have died and thats why he let himself give up that easily. "Do you think....He had his own kids once. Do you think that Lilith?" Yoshi said watching the sun set. He could hear something moving in the bushes next to Umbreon's grave. Lilith couldn't hear it but he could. What came out was a bright light. It was Umbreon's spirit. He said "You are pure Yoshi. Don't let Team Rocket get to you. Like your destiny foretold." Umbreon said. "Wait what destiny?" Yoshi said looking crazy in front of Lilith. "Wait Umbreon!" Yoshi said as the bright light disappeared. What was he talking about? Yoshi said forgetting that Lilith could read his mind. Don't let Team Rocket get to me. Like Your destiny foretold?
 
"Natalie would you like to join me and Lilith in this gym battle. Its a triple battle," Yoshi asked. Natalie quietly nodded in response, still staring through the tinted window. Lilith and Nixie came, but soon left with Yoshi and Snivs to see Umbreon's grave. Natalie still didn't move. Sneasel broke out of his pokéball. Why do all my Pokémon do that? Natalie thought. "Snea! Sneasel!" Sneasel said, hopping on Natalie's head. "Hey!" Natalie exclaimed in protest. "Oh never mind. You can stay on…" she said. Aero huffed angrily. Natalie's eyes widened and she quickly turned to him. "Don't think you can try this too. You'll crush my bones and I'll be a limp pile of bloody flesh," she told him, looking up and seeing other people giving her crazy looks. Natalie frowned and looked away from them. Suddenly she heard screaming. She looked in that direction and saw a Seviper. "Seviper!" it said, biting down on someone's leg.
It was Team Rocket's Seviper. Natalie ran forward. "Sneasel! Go! Use agility and then slash!" Natalie commanded. "Sneasel!" Sneasel hopped off Natalie's head and moved around swiftly before slashing at the Seviper. "Seviper!" it cried in pain. It attempted poison fang about three times before finally hitting Sneasel. "Snea!" Sneasel cried, collapsing on the ground. "Hurry Sneasel, don't let that thing wrap you up!" Natalie called. Sneasel rolled out of the way and used quick attack without being told. The grunt that owned the Seviper came forward. "I see you aren't dead," he said with a smirk before calling out a Machamp and Electabuzz. The Machamp punched Sneasel, knocking him out. "Would you stop saying I'm dead?!" Natalie exclaimed angrily, calling Sneasel back into his pokéball.
 
Lilith looked worriedly up at Yoshi as the words Don't let Team Rocket get to me. Like Your destiny foretold?. "Yoshi are you okay?" she asked her tone worried as she shivered getting cold. For a moment she could swear she heard her fathers voice in her head saying I'm proud of you Lilith. Whatever you do make sure you don't let Team Rocket get to you or your friends...also if I were still alive I would approve of Yoshi. just always follow your heart at that her eyes filled with tears as she remembered her father.
 
Rave busted out of his Pokeball in a hurry. He dashed towards Natalie's location knowing she was in danger. He came down with a brave bird on top of the machamp's head making him dizzy before using Aerial ace on him again. He kept the Machamp busy by flying around him as he tried to attack. Rave giggled and saw the thunder punch attack coming and used brave bird on the machamp to slip on through. He starred at Natalie and nodded before he was hit by thunder punch. He tried to move weakly but fell. He starred up at the now laughing Electabuzz and Machamp. He got angry and turned white. The two pokemon backed up as he shouted "STARAPTOR!" And used brave bird on the machamp. Yoshi shouted "Rave where are you going?! Ugh.... He'll be okay" Yoshi said silently. He was glad that Natalie was going to help them during the gym battle. It made things less irritating about using two Pokemon instead of one.
 
Yoshi was startled at first before saying "Yea i'm okay." he said still thinking about what Umbreon said. Then he turned towards Lilith and saw her crying. "Don't cry Lilith." He said knowing she was thinking of her father. "What happened to him anyways?" Yoshi said hoping that Lilith wouldn't slap him for asking that. Tauros looked around and went to go graze because he got very hungry. He never knew this Umbreon but it seemed important to Yoshi. He felt sad that he never got to meet this Pokemon. He thought for a second and realized he must have replaced Umbreon in a sort of way he never thought of before. He didn't know of Snivs either. But it seemed that Umbreon was like a father to him. He saw Duke coming from being left behind. "Hey Duke. Do you think I might be replacing this Umbreon Pokemon?" Tauros asked the Houndoom in confusion.
 
Natalie watched Rave attacking the Machamp. "Go, Dratini!" Natalie shouted, tossing a pokéball. "Dratini, use dragon rage on Electabuzz!" she told her. "Dratini!!!" Dratini yelled as she shot a big electrical ball at Electabuzz. "Aero, use flamethrower!" she told Aero. "Char!" he ran over to Electabuzz and used flamethrower in its face before it used thunder punch of Rave. The Machamp weakly prepared at punch at Dratini. "Aero, tackle it!" Natalie said in response. Aero tackled it, knocking it out. More grunts came, tossing out pokéballs. There were five Walrein, two Rhyperior, and seven Crobats. What the hell is this? Natalie thought, looking at all of them.
 
Rave attacked the crobats and knocked five of them out and had to deal with the two stubborn ones stealing magazines. "why the heck are you stealing magazines?" Rave asked the Crobats. "Well excuse us for not wanting to fight." They said which got them attacked by Rave who knocked them out. He began dealing with the Walrein who he did not know used ice beam on him freezing him. "A...A...Ae.....Aer....Aero.....Help me...." Rave said freezing inside the ice. He felt faint. He never felt so cold in his whole entire life. He saw a Snover come out of no where and break the ice using hammer arm. Rave said thanks and they both teamed up on the Rhyperior.

(oh yea that Snover's mine so don't even think about catching him NightofRemorse)
