The OVERWORLD sprite is the sprite that you walk around as (Eg: "Dawn in D/P)
The CARD or TRAINER sprite is the spritethat you go into battle as, when people battle you, on your trainer card, ect.​

I know what the overworld is, I meant the pokemon. ANd the other. I also tried spriting the shadow egg. Comments, everyone?
