Pokemon League Vs Pokemon Contest?

    So if you were a trainer in the Pokemon World would you focus your training on Pokemon Contests or Pokemon Battles of the Pokemon League? Or would you try to accomplish both!?

    I like the idea of contests and in the show they are fun to watch, but personally the strategy of battling is more appealing.
     
    League battles. Trust me, I'd be the trainer with 6 Magikarps, and I'd be slapping the **** out of the Champion with them.

    I agree with you on the Honor of being a champion, but if you think about it the life a champion is probably considerably worse then the life of a Contest Winner. I feel like as the champion you always have people challenging you and trying to take your title, where a contest winner is declared every year right?

    I'd still want to so battle, all I'm saying is the life of a contest challenger might be a little more relaxing :D
     
    As much as Pokemon contests looks fun, I'd rather do league battles. I just want to battle, so I don't even care if I win or not.
     
    As much as I'd like to think I'd be a really good Pokemon battler if it were real, contests probably suit my more mellow personality. Contests sound infinitely more relaxing, and there's less responsibility placed on you as an owner due to not having to bark commands at the lil' critters all the time. If anything, they feel like glorified dog shows, but without all the inbreeding (well... except for egg moves) and genetic manipulation to get the critters to be 'perfect'.
     
    I would love to be a League Champ. Then people would know all across the world. XD Battling is always more fun to me, anyway. :P
     
    I'd prefer challenging the Pokemon League instead, honing my skills to a high degree of exceptional quality.

    This. And the idea that "Pokemon League Champion" is a bit more of a prestigious title throughout the regions, it seems.
     
    I'd be one of the rare people to just live in harmony with a chosen Pokemon as a life companion at home. Never battle, never compete, just relax and enjoy life.
     
    Pokemon League, yes. But I think it will be hard like hell since Pokemon Champion, Gym Leaders are supposedly very strong. We keep winning just because we are the player character all this time.
     
    The Pokemon League because more prestige and fame comes with that title. Also, I'm far better at battling than at contests.
