How long do you think Pokemon live? For example, does an average Growlithe live as long as a dog? More? Less? What Pokemon might have a very long life, and which might have very short lives?
______________
Dug around a bit. Found three Pokemon with lifespans in their Pokedex: Absol (100 years), Ninetales (1000 years), and Wartortle (10000 years). Seems hard to beat the last one on length without delving into legendaries.
Leans towards longer lifespans than their real-world counterparts. Rarely discusses death or even past Pokemon. Brings up this quote from Professor Oak too:
Thinks of a few Pokemon with short lifespans:

Did not necessarily catch those three as a young trainer. Guesses that to be the case, though. Suggests Pokemon older than the player character. Never acted elderly.Professor Oak said:<rival>? Let me think… Oh, that's right. I told you to come! Just wait! Here, <player>! There are 3 Pokémon here! Haha! They are inside the Poké Balls. When I was young, I was a serious Pokémon trainer! In my old age, I have only 3 left, but you can have one! Choose!
Thinks of a few Pokemon with short lifespans:
- Charmander: Croaks if its tail flame goes out. Seems really, really easy to do.
- Spoink: Bounces to keep its heart from stopping. What happens if it hops into mud or something?
- Hoppip: Sees these everywhere in Scarlet/Violet. Lacks much in the way of power. Cannot imagine winter going well for them. Doubts they migrate.
- Mankey/Primeape: Too angry for its own good. Likely picks a fight it cannot win (or kills itself in anger).
