I think you should start hacking,once you planned the whole storyline.That's what famous hacks did,their leaders had the story all in their minds,they don't stop hacking to think,cause they're losing time.
You know what i did for my hack?I planned the dialoques,the story,before even starting.Now,we know what to do,and we're moving fast.

This is just my advice. ;)
 
It depends on your objective. If your objective is to get the game out fast, I suppose that would work. But other people could focus on other things than speed. Different people have different priorities, and WillBill, you should focus on whatever you feel is right for your game. Even though people will try to rush you, the best things in life sometimes take time. ^_~

And if a little more time means you don't get so stressed that you have to quit... well, waiting a long time for betas is better than getting many betas quickly but never getting to play the finished game. You know?

Of course, for some people, the stress and pressure makes them achieve more. That's why you should just do what's best for you and your own style.
 
well the hack sounds pretty good but may i recommend changing the hack to a fire red hack just because the graphics look better on fire red other then that i hope it go's well.

That's actually a pretty good map. Well, the two of them.

@Ray- I can only work at a certain pace, I can't make anything go fast because if I make it go too fast I KNOW I will mess up on a bunch of things. I can't be stressed working at a fast pace. I will work at kinda slow-medium pace only because I'm like a person with OCD, I have to make it so it's evenly matched up. I can't stand uneven things!!! I am always so worried I forgot something every day and it's probably going to stay that way when I'm working on this.

@Kaylee- Thank you, it's nice to know someone understands why you would work slow or fast. It works for me to get it done at a medium pace. I hate things that take toooooooo long. :)

Thank you, but I like ruby a bit more, I don't know maybe I will since I've heard its easiest to hack.

I can also make banners, as well as userbars, WillBill. Not the same as his, but if you want me to make some I can. I just usually prefer userbars. There is no one right or wrong way to promote a hack; in fact, using a variety of different methods will appeal to a greater audience. At the same time, you want to do things in a way that you like and are comfortable with.

Meaning, that you can advertise in your signature however you want. The plus side to hiding other banners and userbars, is that then yours will ALWAYS be the first one you see. The advantage to banners is that because they are bigger, they are also more attention-grabbing. The negative to banners is that you don't have as much room for other things, although you can hide other things in spoilers, so that they fit, if you like.

Just choose whichever way you like best.

(@ Ray Maverick - I would just like to nicely ask you to try to present your opinions as something that could be done, instead of as something that should be done. I know you don't tell him he has to do these things, but you do seem to imply it would be the best thing for him to do. It may not have been your intention to imply that, though, so I'm sorry if I come off sounding rude.)
