I know that. The problem I'm having is displaying the hero's name on the trainer card. The way I could do it is have the hero enter their name using a custom name system, and each letter they pressed would store a number in a variable(A=1, Z=26). Then, make the event conditions, if letter1=26 and have the graphics for that page Z. The only problem with this is that I can't call the hero's name with this method.
Well it's near impossible.. it has been achieved but it requires the player to enter their name twice, and that's if you wish to take the simple path. If you don't want the simple path you could try placing images in convo's but that would take so much extra time and effort.. Do remember that this is after the system has been made. You might think to leave it now and take something else up and then return to that problem later.

You've been alot of help. For starters, you started this game.XD. I think I'm gonna have to make the player enter their name twice. I'm thinking about having them enter their name for the trainer card in the intro, then as soon as the player leaves his/her house, have atv reporter run up and ask their name again.
I really love the pokemon liquid/metropolis and all of the other userbars in your sig. Did you make them or did someone else?
I really need to know if you think I should change the font on the original RM2K3KID bar at the intro, 'cause it looks weird.
Some glitches:
1)When you try to fight the 2nd trainer in Sting´s Gym, the game freezes
2)When you fight Sting´s Pidgeotto, the game says "Pidgey used Tackle"
3)How can I use that B*tcha or something like that?
I referred to all of those except he pidgey used tackle thing on page four. hey'renot gitches, since I'm still working on the battle system. The pidgey thing I've known abou, but I'm not in a hurry to fix it.
And as for the hero's color, he's transparent in that screen, and it looks good when you're playiong the game. I don't think I'm going to put a pokemon fly up yo him or anything, because the intro is kinda crowded.
I don't know if this has been fixed or anything or said. but one glitch I found was that I cought a pokemon but i didn't catch it O.o all it did was change the pokemon to a pokeball. the only way I was able to catch a pokemon was to throw lots of rocks then the pokeball.

I haven't really made any progress today, because I've been making a checklist for everything needed to be done. I plan on having the Pokemon Menu done by the end of next week.
Well, the switching pokemon is going to take a little while, but I already know how to do it. The long part is actually coding the event. The Pc system is going to take a long time and alot of variables.
Actually, in the post above I was talking about a pcsystem. The CBS is pretty much finished. The only catch is that you have to make a battle map for every route or trainer, which sucks. But that comes with trying to make a pokemon game.
I need a little help here. Can anyone tell me what font is used for the hp bar in this picture.
read page 3 for catching the pokemon. I admit the text speed is too slow, but if you press the SHIFT key, it goes faster. As for the walking speed, it's the same as the GBA Pokemon games. There are running shoes and bicycles in the game to speed the hero up.
and what do you mean by too slow because of the events?
.......cant you increase the talking speed i compared it to illusion and ....its a lot slower..
Hey i found out why... the speeds intentionally slowed down!
well i couldnt catch a pokemon so i loaded a file already on there charz or something
games preety good i still dont like the slow walking...but its good (ts probally cause im used to the SPEED increase in the GBA emulators lol)
