Umm..Like, nah. That's not everything that happened..
A small jolt of electricity traveled along Radian's spine as the concentrated thought from Marc pierced her consciousness. Recovering quickly, she only flashed her friend a knowing smile, laughing quietly to herself.
"So the truth comes out.." She muttered aloud, to which anyone and everyone else would sound like she was talking to herself. Shifting her golden eyes and locking them onto Marc's, she held him there in a steady gaze, awaiting his next response.
In fact, while you were asleep, we were about to pull each other's guts out.
Now that sounds more a little more believable.. Radian remarked, an eyebrow raising in the slightest as she cocked her head, the smile smeared across her face growing ever and ever larger.
We chose to just call names instead, though, until I decided to end this by saying I would only agree if he apologized sincerely to me. That was probably immature and dangerous, I know, But yeah. I think that was the best choice if I wanted to skip any other random attacks from him.
Ironically, just as this thought registered within Radian's mind, Leon drew back, bursting forth with a powerful, scorching Flamethrower. Instinctively upon taking in the sight of the raging flames, Radian flinched harshly, her eyes squeezing painfully shut as her delicate little chest began to erupt with painfully loud and rapid thumps from her heart. Falling back onto the hardwood floor in a panic, her furry little body curling up defensively, she let out a pitiful little cry, tears already springing forth from her eyes and rolling quickly down her cheeks. She was blown back into the inferno of her nightmare, the flames looming ominously above her, the long, elogonated shadow falling upon her cowering figure signaling the approach of Darkrai, the forebringer of misery and darkness. And then further back, to the night, that night of tragedy.. The ear-shattering screams of pure agony, the night when everyone she had loved had slipped right through her hands.. and she could only stand by helplessly as it happened.
And then, in an instant, it was over. The flashbacks were dispelled as the Flamethrower vanished, and as Radian's eyes flew open in a frenzy, her chest forcefully heaving for air, she looked around her, noticing her position on the floor and silently wondering how she had gotten there. Remembering her conversation with Marc, she stood, sheepishly brushing herself off as she shook her head. She sighed, turning back to her friend and flashing him a reassuring smile.
Anyways.. Radian thought, attempting to get herself back together.
I knew that something was being left out.. Turns out it was a pretty big something.
Radian laughed silently, though on the inside she was anything but laughing. Her mind along with her heart was racing furiously, and she didn't even know why. Why, had she spasmed so suddenly at something as simple as a Flamethrower? The stream of fire had been completely in Leon's control, and not anywhere near Radian, at that.
Ugh.. She thought, her left paw flying to press against her head, in an attempt to draw out the massive headache that had just overcome her.
Why is everyone acting so weird today? Her heart sank as she was struck by a different thought.
Or maybe it's not them.. Maybe it's me. It has to be from my lack of sleep. There's no other explanation. Radian concluded with an enormous yawn. Her train of thought was interrupted when two unfamiliar figures came charging into the medical wing.
"Agh!" She cried out in surprise, as they stampeded right past her, very nearly mowing the tiny Eevee down as they appeared not to see her in the heat of their arguing. Radian shuddered, picking herself up again from the floor as she had been knocked down by their sheer force as they rushed to get somewhere.. or rather to someone.
"You brought too many berries and not enough reviver seeds!" A Wartortle yelled furiously at another pokemon, one who looked similar to Tiffany besides being much larger.
"You didn't get enough Max Elixers!" The Swampert retorted back. Radian was stunned speechless, as she happened to glance over and see a large sweatdrop forming alongside Tiffany's face. Feeling a bit sorry for her friend, Radian hobbled over and smiled sympathetically, pulling Tiffany off to the side.
"So i'm assuming that these.. er.. lovely gentlemen belong to you?" Radian laughed, trying to lighten the mood and help clear Tiffany's obvious embarrassment.
"Tiffany!" The Wartortle shouted, and Radian was reminded of a small child calling for his mother to tattle on his little brother. Radian snickered to herself.
"Tiffany isn't here at the moment, would you mind leaving a message?" Radian asked him sweetly, snapping a paw up to press back against his shell. While she kept the Wartortle at bay, she focused back on her Mudkip friend.
"But I need to ask her which we need more of, Berries or Perfect Apples? Because I got the Berries- -"
"It's okay.." She continued with a smile, her gaze shifting subtly over to focus upon Leon. She let out a short laugh.
"I think I know exactly how you feel. At least they're not trying to kill each other.."
It was then that a great, crashing "Boom!" resounded across the entire room, and Radian quickly pushed her and Tiffany back, just in time as a tremendous Hydro Pump came crashing past the duo. Radian was apparently not far enough away from the attack, and the end result was a left side entirely drenched with water. A sweatdrop began to form alongside her face as well, and letting off a nervous little laugh, she looked quickly away from Tiffany and back at her suitors, whose little dispute had apparently led to a full-fledged battle. Worriedly, Radian's gaze settled upon Leon, whose obvious weakness was water. And not three feet away from him was on ongoing battle between two powerful water foes.
"Tiffany likes me more!" The Wartortle sneered tauntingly. This obviously infuriated the Swampert, who slammed a foreleg upon the hardwood floor, rattling the boards with a ripping Earthquake.
