    Hey people, Brony here.
After recently playing through Mystery Dungeon: Red rescue team a bunch of times, I came up with a theory.
This theory may seem a little...Farfetch'd (hehe, see what I did there?) But bear with me and continue reading on.
As alot of you know, Gengar is portrayed as the villain character through Red and Blue Rescue Team...but what if he is actually a good guy, putting on an evil mask.
I made a few points while progressing through the game.

Warning: if you haven't played Red or Blue Rescue team, don't continue.

    Spoiler:

I hope you kept an open mind through reading this. Let me know your thoughts and opinions on my theory (: Later people of PC.

That is certainly mindblowing and also supports why the heck Gengar rescued you after the climax.. Wow this could be plausible..

Eeyup. It had always bugged me how it seemed like Gengar saved you after the Rayquaza battle, so I kept my mind open to thoughts on different events with Gengar as I played through and came up with these...results? Again, it may seem a little ridiculous but It just got me thinking ^_^

Hmm.. I guess this theory is interesting, but I just have to wonder what he would gain from putting on the evil mask instead of just being a good guy on the outside as well. Personally, I still think that he was a bad-guy-turned-good, but reading theories are always interesting!

Possibly not wanting to be one of those soft types. Basically putting on a tough guy act, while secretly being a good guy and helping you out throughout your journey.
