OK, so imagine Pokemon are real. Everything else stays the same, and you live where you live now. What pokemon could you get? As in, what pokemon would make their home near you?

I live in a small town in the English countryside, so I'd expect so see a few bugs. Turning the animals I can see right now in my garden into pokemon, I can see Butterfree/Beautifly and Beedrill/Combee, with a Meowth chasing them around (I have two cats, one's definitely a Meowth while the other is more of a Glameow). There's a Roselia growing over there, and what seems to be a Pidgey up in the trees. I had to scoop a Spinarak out of the shower earlier.

There's a farm over the road, so I'd expect to see some Mareep, Tauros/Miltank, Torchic and maybe a Ponyta. There's a park with a big pond down where I used to go to school, so I could find a Poliway, Lotad and Farfetch'd. It's a bit grotty though so maybe Grimer would be more realistic. A bit of a walk and you can reach a small wood, so more bird and bug pokemon, Pineco in particular, Pikachu, and maybe an Eevee. (Actually, my cats have been bringing in a lot of baby mice recently. Mmm, dead Pichu, lovely thought). I can imagine quite a lot of Rattata being around too.

So, yeah. What pokemon are near you? Just a little bit of fun.

Edit: NOTE! This is not a "what's your dream team if pokemon was real" thread. This is a "what pokemon would live near you if pokemon was real" thread."

Really? Since when was Greece home to porcupines, chameleons, monkeys and dinosaurs? Although I can definitely see lots of Squirtle around the Mediterranean.

    Spoiler:

Hm.. I live in a small town in Denmark, so yea, I'd expect to see a bunch of Bug Pokémon and some pretty common Pokémon, like Pidgey, Starly, Meowth, Rattata and so on. It rains quite a lot, and there's also a small pond not far from here, where I would probably find a Lotad or a Poliwag. Also, Grass-types like Roselia, Bellsprout, Seedot and Shroomish could probably be found in a forest not too far from here. At night, I could probably find Zubat there, too. There's also a wastewater treatment plant (or whatever it's called) about a mile from here, where I'd expect to find a Grimer, if not a hundred. Oh yea, there's also a couple farms around, so I'd be able to get Mareep, Miltank, Tauros, Ponyta, Torchic and even Spoink or Grumpig. Maybe a Houndour or an Eevee, too. There are quite a lot of dogs around. Oh yea, there's even a power plant a few miles from here, so I'd be able to find Magnemite, Voltorb and other Electric-type Pokémon.

And, well, that's about it, I think. If I were to come up with a (somewhat) realistic team, It'd be something like this:

    - Houndoom
    - Crobat
    - Poliwrath
    - Persian
    - Blaziken
    - Espeon

    ...That'd be wicked.

    Cool thread-

I'd see lots and lots of wild Stantler. There'd probably be some Goldeen and Seaking in the waters, maybe a Psyduck wandering around. The neighbors keep Snubbulls as pets. Ekans are rare. There's one Staraptor in my neighborhood. It eats the Wurmples.

I live in a Volcano. I can see Moltres and Heatran and Typhlosions roaming.. AAHHH!! A MOLTRES IS ATTICKING!! BYE BY----- R.I.P

I live in countryside,so I think there are Miltanks here and Tauros'es. There is forest close to our house,so I could imagine Pidgeys and Spearows live there..I could see Ralts/Kirlia and Gardevoir live in forest if they would not be so scared about us. xD
    We own some animals,so 2 Zigzagoon,2 Houndour,Buizel..Then,umm,Buneary's,3 Ponyta and 2 Rapidash.

I think my grandparents would own Mr.Mime. xD And my team would be : Buneary,Buizel and Gardevoir xD

I'm surrounded by beaches, so a bunch of water pokemon for me <3 (my fave/specialty)

Pretty much just the little town Pokemon near Pallet Town / Littleroot Town / etc. like Bidoof, Starly, Pidgey, Poochyena, etc.

I can see some Pidgey's and Tailow's playing in the tree's. I have an Espeon and Flareon. One of my neighbor has a houndoom and there is some buizel's chasing each other. The sky is rainy and hoppip's might come accross floating =]

Great thread topic, Since the area where I live is somewhat dark and spooky, there will probably be a lot of Ghost and Dark type Pokemon living there.

    :t354:TG

I have a dog and two pet Budgies, so...maybe in my house I would have a Houndour and two Chatots (yeah, I know Chatot is a Parrot xD).
From my window I can see a river with some Magikarps splashing around and lots of Pidgey grabing the small seeds a man had just thrown off for them to eat. :3
My neightbour has a female Growlithe and my Houndour is currently in love with her.
Also, right next to my house, there is a pet shop who sells pokémon like Buneary, Rattata, Ekans, Pachirisu, Ariados and really small sized Feebas. The pet shop owner owns a fat female Meowth.
Oh! And right now I just killed a Masquerain with my BARE hands. >D (hmm...I always wondered...is Maquerain a Mosquito? oO)

I live in a heavily wooded area, so I'd see a lot of Stantler, Teddiursa, Ursaring, and maybe some Vulpix (There are foxes around here) probably a lot of Bidoof and Starly, Spearow, Pidgey, Rattata, and Eevee

I'm surrounded by woods. In the summer time I would see Murkrow, Pidgey, Taillow, Caterpie, Weedle, Rattata, Furret, Pachirisu, Vulpix, Ekans, Beedrill, Shuckle and Combee.

In the winter I'd see more Stantler and Mightyena.

Also I think my cat would be a Delcatty :)

    Nice idea for a topic.

    In-home, or "tame" Pokemon:
Umbreon and Espeon, male (Our two cats. One black one, who reminds me of Umby, and his rival, who's a lot slimmer looking.)
Growlithe, female (My dog. She's a sweet pupper. XD)
Magikarp in our big fish tank, one shiny, and a Finneon in my little sis's tank. (Shouldn't need explanation.)
A rather ragged-looking Persian (M) and another, slimmer one, male, though I'd almost compare them to Raikou and Suicune. Entei left. XP
    Arcanine, male. Our other dog.

    Outdoorsy Pokemon:
    Grass:
    Hoppip
    Oddish
    Gloom
Sandshrew (we don't have shrews, just a lot of dirt that couldn't go unused.)
    Trapinch
    Paras
    Rattata
    Meowth, rare
    Zigzagoon, Linoone
    Starly, Staravia
...there's not a possum pokemon, is there?
    Wurmple and evos.
    Weedle and evos.
    and Combee.

    Pool:
    Yanma
    Beedrill
    Vespiquen
drowning Meowth. Only on Tuesdays. Knows water gun and splash, splash, splash.
Rotom for the water purifier? Suicune would be too much of a stretch.
    green Grimer if left off.

    Old Barn:
    Gastly, Haunter
    Magnemite (for junk)
    Glameow and Meowth
and for lack of a better fox (while awesome in it's own right), Ninetales. Event. Only one. Currently being shot at. =/

Pokémon that are in the forest, plains, lake, and town Pokédex category would be common to me.
