Flurry blushed and kissed him back before pulling away blushing hard she nuzzled him lovingly "I love you Silver...I have since the moment we met" she whispered blushing harder as she wrapped her paws around him.

He smiled blushing, and nuzzled his head under hers. He yawned a little. He has yet to sleep, and he was exhausted. He stared at the large full moon, and the shining stars, and snuggled with Flurry some more. His eyes started to droop until he slowly fell asleep...

Cassie smiled at the Pokemon and cuddled Joy in her bag like before to give the two Pokemon more privacy. She then made small beds for Swamp and Lyra before crawling into her tent and falling asleep.

Silver awoke before anyone else had.
Nightmares again, great...
He thought sadly. He glanced at Flurry.
Still sleeping peacfully... Good...
So she hadn't noticed him mubling or thrashing around in his sleep. He would rather she didn't know he was having nightmares, because then she might have them too.
He looked at the sky.
It's easily midnight...
The stars were faded, the moon setting ever so slowly. He sighed, and looked around. He ran into a clearing and started practicing his attacks, as well as inventing some dazzling new moves, which could easily win if he were a Contest Pokemon. But Cassie was a breeder. And he wasn't in a contest, these moves were about power. Defence. To defend Flurry. He looked at the sky again.
Only about 1 A.M. now...
He started to train his moves more, in private, because he didn't like to show his moves unless he was using them to defend someone. He trained himself half to death, and when he came back to the camp, he didn't look well. He was kind of limping off of his right paw, his head and all of his paws were covered in dried blood, his own, and he was so dizzy he had to sit down. His fur was all ruffled up, he looked like a mess.

(Glad for his concern for her having nightmares but I've got one planned)
Flurry slept peacefully for awhile before her nightmares returned. She usually had them every night but unlike others she usually didn't make a sound in her sleep so Silver had no idea about them at all. After Silver left her she let out a small whimper shifting slightly and by the time he returned she was tossing and turning crying in her sleep.

Silver, still messed up, saw he shaking, crying, whimpering in her sleep. He felt a little guilty, assuming to himself that it was his fault.
I was only gone for an hour...
Tears formed in his eyes and he started to cry.
It's all my fault!!
he seemed to scream at himself repeatedly. He curled up beside her, and, through the pain and tears, began to hum a gentle tune, he had learned from humans.
Something about 'buying a mockingbird'...
He thought. He didn't know the words, but the tune itself was soothing, so he hummed it to her while she slept, ignoring his own pain and tears...

Flurry whimpered more and woke with a start immedietly burying her face in Silvers fur as she cried. "Si...Silver...i...r...r...remembered!" she cried talking about the worst beating she had ever recieved. The one Silver had been forced to watch...the one that when it was over she didn;t remember a thing of what happened.

Silver seems frozen over in a state of shock. This was his worst memory. Not even his own worst beating, but hers. And he had the misfortune of seeing. Suddenly, it was as if every bone in his body was melted and then frozen over. He was shaking and he felt cold, his flames out, but he was burning up, almost sweating. This was his worst memory, the one he tried hardest to repress, to block it off and never look at it again. But now it was back. He almost fell over, bones like jelly, and ended up leaning into Flurry for support. He wailed in terror as the memory seemed to consume his mind and cover his eyes. His shaking worsened and his fear, panic, and worry were bursting in waves.
Silver blacked out.

She mumbled his name. He was in the black empty space of his mind. He felt trapped. He heard her calling to him. He ran for the voice...
Silver awoke with a jolt, crying, panting as if he had just ran the whole sinnoh region, and shaking, too much to seem normal. The memory had completely wrecked him. He cried, barely possible to understand.
"F-f... F-f-flurry..."
He was crying too much to say any more. This one memory, a single past event, had him shut down, and now having a breakdown. He felt every muscle in his body was tensed, harder than steel. He whined and felt around the ground, looking for Flurry, his eyes blinded by so many tears.

She remembered asking him about what happened before and not receiving an answer him telling her it was for her sake that she didn't know. She had no idea what suddenly caused the memory to show up but she didn't care, it had upset her and Silver seemed devastated. She couldn't help but glance at the long scar on her front leg now knowing how she had gotten it.

Silver heard her say his name again, and he blindly crawled closer to her direction, eventually reaching her, his shaking lowering as he felt warm when he was in contact with her. He couldn't stand, he was too shaken by the memory. He tried to cuddle closer to her...
Flurry whimpered louder as he cuddled up with her. She kept sobbing his name as she pressed closer to him putting her head under his. She was trembling and sobbing hard at the memory trying to press closer to Silver.

Silver heard her crying, and he felt more pain. Through his crying, he started to hum the 'Mockingbird' lullaby he had heard, although the music sounded shaky, because he was barely able to hum it, while crying. He hoped it would help her at least, because he didn't know what else to do...
Flurry pressed closer to him calming slightly as she heard him humming but not much. With him crying she was unable to calm down. She needed him to be the strong one this time, that was the one thing she needed more than anything was for him to calm down.

Silver felt a bit warmer as she pressed closer to him, and hoped the hum helped. His crying stopped when she got closer to him, and his shaking dulled down a bit. He didn't know what to do!! He opened his eyes and the last tears dripped away. He swallowed, trying to clear his throat, and began to sing the 'Mockingbird' song as he called it, his voice still shaky from the shock of the memory, but he tried his hardest to keep it steady.
"Da da-da da, da-da da da da, da da-da da da-da da da da..."
He looked at Cassie, hoping she would know the song he was mewling and be able to help him with it. They both needed help...

Cassie woke up when she heard crying. She was still exhausted but slowly made her way over to the Pokemon and determined that Flurry had a nightmare and Silver was concerned. Kneeling down she heard Silver humming a lullaby she had heard when she was younger. Though it was a long time she didn't remember the words but knew the tune and she started to hum it reaching out and gently petting Flurry.
Flurry calmed slightly hearing Silver calm down and sing lightly to her feeling a little better. But once Cassie touched her petting over the scar she had received during that beating she whimpered fur fluffing up as she moved hiding behind Silver in fear.

"Fl-flurry..."

He sighed and decided to show her something. He rubbed his paws over his fur. He had silver-color ashes - matching his fur - as cover. When he finally finished, there were plenty of scars. He had hid them from he, even though she probably knew some of them.
A tear along his left flank, cuts and scrapes on his paws, a long scratch diagonally down his back...
Then he rubbed his muzzle. One she hadn't seen, that only him and the bad trainer had known about. A straight horizontal scar across his muzzle. The fur didn't grow where it was. It was small, but made a clear mark. This scar was pale pink, and it shined a bit in the early sunlight. Words coouldn't even describe how painful it looked. He had kept it all a secret, from everyone. Until now...
