You use tools to rom hack a rom, download them from the Tools Showcase.

An update on the hack:

I have done up to the 6th Gym, All I need to do is add the two teams sprites into the hack. I will also try to make the Trainers that battle you have higher levels and I will also make you be able to rename your rival in another area not the lab anymore as you don't met the rival until after that. Also alot texting mainly the start will be done and the MYSTERY EGG won't be called that anymore it will be called the CLONE EGG, meaning there is a special Pokemon inside.

Sorry if there are no screenshots, I have a few from inside the cave after the 4th Gym. Also in the next beta it will be playable up to MAHOGANY TOWN which means it stops right before there.

Hopefully people here will enjoy these updates.

The Grunt isn't the rival in Plasma Red, only Cobalt Blue. But I do plan to make a female rival in the hack. Team Rocket isn't in this hack either, just Team Cosmic and Team Dude.

I am not going to spoil it, but you need to make the power plant working again, this is a clue. Make sure you search in houses in Goldenrod, there is a way to get the Pass for the train.

Update
Here are some new screenshots from inside the cave after Ecruteak City, there is also one at the end of the cave, it should tell you something on how to access Cianwood, so you need a TM to break the rocks.

Also the 5th(Rock types) and 6th (Random types) Gym Leaders are below.

Those cave pics are really cool, I can't wait for beta 2, also the gym leaders are well sprited.

I also found how to get the Pass so I could get to the 3rd gym. I am nearly up to battling him.

Hopefully some more news and screenshots will be really cool.

I fixed up the map in the cave so it does not look like that anymore.

Here are a few spoilers:

There are 4 Team Dude Elites. They are determined by number (1 being the strongest). You will have to fight only 2 of them though. Team Dude Elite 4 will be in the Sprout Tower (or Dude Hideout now) in Violet City, Team Dude Elite 3 will be in Ilex Forest, Team Dude Elite 2 will be in Ecruteak City.

I will not spoil where Team Dude Elite 1 is but you will be able to access him in the next beta (Beta 2) which is a complete beta up to Mahogany.

Also the Radio Tower will be renamed the Space Tower, I will add more staircases and more areas into the Space Tower. One of the members from here will be mentioned in the hack for helping me do the trainer card.

Also the Time legendary (Dimenpace) will have its own special move which only it can use. The move will have 5 PP and will take 150 Power. There is a new cloned Pokemon that will be in the hack. It should hatch from the CLONE EGG.

Next time I come on I will show new screenshots of Cianwood, I have changed it so it is possible to get Strength there. The fifth gym is a rock gym and it will require strength. Also I will try to get a new beta as soon as possible.

After Beta 2 is released I will not be doing Beta 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3, so I can get Beta 3 out to the public straight away. Beta 2 will be playable up to Mahogany and Beta 3 will be up to the Pokemon Battle Stadium.

The Battle Stadium will replace the Elite 4 meaning there will be a crowd which you cannot access or talk to, the Crowd gets bigger as you get further on.

New Updates

The Town where the legendary (Dimenpace) destroyed will be able to be access through a portal in the Team Cosmic hideout. Meaning you will go back in time to back before the town was destroyed, you will see Team Cosmic planning something, but you can't battle them. Also near where the town was dstroyed the town elder remembers you from somewhere.

You will be able to name the rival later on then instead of the lab as you have not seen the rival and the policeman asks for his name in the last Beta.

Also I have sprited the clone Pokemon, it will have high attack and defence but very low speed. I still need to add the Team's sprites to the hack but I will show some screenshots of them soon.

So many other hacks will probably be hack of the year nominees (mainly Advance hacks). Well as for my hack I have been working really hard I have done up to the 7th gym. I just need to add the sprites and new text for Team Dude and Team Cosmic, then a new beta will be released up to Mahogany.

This hack should be nearly completed soon, just need to add the places where you get legendaries. I will get a sprite of the fire-type legendary up soon.

Here is probably the last sprite I will be showing for Plasma Red, but it is the fire type legendary and the reason I hacked Plasma Red. You can get him after taking the boat after you beat the Battle Stadium.

This Pokemon will learn a special Fire move which it can only learn and it will be powerful.

The Fire legendary is called Volcant and he will be a Fire/Rock type.

I sprited this from scratch so hopefully it looks good.

That legendary is the best fake one I have seen ever, it looks so unreal, how did you sprite that excellent sprite from scratch? I will need to beat the game quickly if I want it then, since it is after the league. Anyway I can't wait for the new beta.

Can't wait to see more like that, this hack is my favourite and it deserves to be hack of the year nominee, Blazichu has put so much work into this hack.
