Gold hack: Pokemon Plasma Red [Script Demo Released]

That legendary is the best fake one I have seen ever, it looks so unreal, how did you sprite that excellent sprite from scratch? I will need to beat the game quickly if I want it then, since it is after the league. Anyway I can't wait for the new beta.

Can't wait to see more like that, this hack is my favourite and it deserves to be hack of the year nominee, Blazichu has put so much work into this hack.

This is my 2nd fav hack, keep up the work.

I am not telling the name of the move, but it will be the first move it learns. Next time I promise to get screenshots of my hack on here.

I have actually planned for the future, I am planning to make a remake of Plasma Red called Pokemon: Sanjo Isles. This hack will be a Fire Red hack and will be using some of the original tiles from Plasma Red. I will probably start a group to get it done quicker. I have shown some of the original tiles in the screenshot of a Fire Red rom.

Thanks for the comments, I don't get much anymore maybe because others are more interested in other hacks then mine. It is like Plasma Red is invisible or something like that here. :(

I have done more editting and found the "Gamefreak Presents" at the start in TLP, I changed it into this instead:

I have also inserted the train track tiles into Tileset 1, instead of Tileset 2 as Goldenrod uses Tileset 1 now:

Fushcia is a very cramped place with lots of water

Even though I'm not into old-gen hacks, I feel that I have to praise your work Blazichu, you know a lot about hacking Gold judging from the screenshots you always post. I also praise your dedication. And don't go thinking wrong, old generation hacks could be fun for a lot of people (sadly, I'm not one of those... :()

Good to see that you have posted in my topic, that wasn't what I was expecting for you to post, zel. :laugh: Well I know alot more than people think about hacking gold, I know how to use hex, use TLP, how to sprite and many other things that are involved with gold. I have never used Poketext to edit text in Plasma Red only hex editor. Hopefully you will enjoy my hack even though you don't like old-generation hacks. Also a few more supporters would be good, this topic gets ignored alot here because it is a gold hack and my hack doesn't seem to be very important here compared to Advance hacks, but I will try my best to keep Plasma Red alive and it will be complete by hopefully March-July, this year. Also no offense, but many Advance rom hacks here are mainly the same, they do get repeative and don't ever finish but they get more posts then any GSC hack which is really different eg. My hack.

Those screenshots are really cool, your hack does seem to get ignored by people because it is gold hack, but it is good to see that you continue to make your hack.

I am going to try and make it so you meet your rival after you get the Clone Egg, so you can name him there. I'll try to get some screenshots of it soon.

I have now planned to show a few fake Pokemon sprites now and then, this will be one I sprited from scratch only using Paint. Also from now on I will only sprite from scratch and that is all.

Hopefully people here like it, it took awhile to sprite.

Good to see that I have your support. I will try to get some screenshots next time, I have fixed the first town so you have to talk to the rival before getting your first Pokemon. I will get the 6th gym and the two teams done as fast as possible, so I can release the next beta.

You reminded me of something else... I also enjoy a lot your fak new pokes. They are pretty good (they look even better than original old-gen pokes sprites), considering you're drawing them from scratch.

I'll give your next release a try, that's for sure, as long as the gameplay doesn't get too repeatitive (compared to Gold, which I need to play to make my hack)

It is good to see that you are going to give my next beta a try, it basically will be a complete beta up to Mahogany(will be renamed in near future). Hopefully my hack doesn't get too repeatitive, it should have lots of small events throughout the hack eg. getting the Train Pass to get to the third gym.

I have changed the beginning so now you have to talk to the rival before you get your Pokemon, some screenshots of the beginning are below.

I would not want to over spoil the hack for you. Also it is good to see that I am your favourite GSC hacker.

I need ideas for Pokemon for the 7th Gym which will be a Dragon type gym and for the 8th Gym whcih will be a Ice type gym. Hopefully some people here might recommend Pokemon from the GSC/RBY series.

Maybe for the 7th you could have: Dragonair, Charizard, Gyarados or something.

For the 8th you could have: Jynx, Dewgong, Lapras.
