    Pokémon Realities

    Kit Used: Essentials V20.1 (Planning to Update to 21.1)

    Game Summary
    Pokémon Realities is a fan made Pokémon game that heavily dives into the idea of the multiverse. Throughout the game, the player will travel through 6 different lands that make up the Kessho Region, each with their own unique traditions and cultures collecting 18 gym badges and preparing to challenge the Pokémon league. Early on in the player's journey, they end up running into a mysterious group known as team horizon who are looking to reassemble something called the reality crystal. This crystal was said to have the power to create any wish imaginable back in the ancient times. Now throughout their journey, the player attempts to stop team Horizon from achieving their goals while meeting many friends, allies, enemies, and Pokémon along the way.

    Spoiler Free Story Outline
    The Kessho Region is home to a crystal known as the reality crystal. This crystal was said to be a gift from the gods for humanity to use to grow and prosper. One day a wish was made to bring prosperity and expansion to the region, and the wish was granted. However, due to the great magnitude of the wish, a great calamity struck the region, expanding it into 6 different islands with each having origins from their own realties. After such a massive wish was made, the crystal exploded and shattered itself into tiny shards, scattering itself until it could fully restore its power. In the present day, all 6 lands have come together, stemming from the primitive age, medieval age, modern age, and even ages of flying cars and magic! However, as of recent years, an organization has been on the move for the crystal shards, what are their goals? Perhaps it to create a new world using the crystal's power, or the destruction of life itself...

    Ok so I've been trying to play this for a few days now, I've gotten 2 badges, I've used debug for Pokémon, basic items like balls potions mega stones and other stuff that shouldn't break the game. And a few things I gotta say, really like the trainer designs. The Pokémon sprites of certain Pokémon like hisuian zorua and dusk lycanroc float far too high in the battle scene, it's immensely distracting. Others like silvally are WAY too large. U-turn and parting shot don't work properly as they don't actually pivot. The game crashes with and without debug often, items are inside of map tiles and objects, the Pokémon seller side quest as far as I'm aware cannot be completed even with walking through walls to get skrelp since that cage is blocked. It causes the game to hang forever. The game crashes seemingly at random often. I'm aware it's still in development and have high hopes for what it can turn into even just a little further. But the game has some serious technical problems atm. Also the first set of starters are honestly immensely unbalanced, sandile and lit wick are quite literally the only worthwhile choices unless you've changed stats on the others, they are simply too weak for too long to compare and since you can buy stones so early you can evolve lampent extremely soon. Cubchoo is well a pure ice type with poor stats other than attack, and noibat (who I chose) evolves at level 48 and is deadweight until then. The route Pokémon choices seem fine enough, and not too long after you can get the immensely broken gen 9 starters and even charcadet who you can evolve with 2 badges. Leaving the first starter choice nearly pointless on top of the poor balance. Speaking of balance I've noticed trainers having moves they shouldn't at early levels and then deciding the next turn to use something like scratch. The ai needs some work. Or perhaps don't give base 80-90 power moves to npcs before the third gym. All this is me trying to say, I LIKE where the game is headed, I just think it may have taken a few steps too far too fast. The difficulty isn't bad either (aside from the odd move choices and seemingly insane ai) and one of the stone sellers in the 3rd city crashes the game. On top of the countless other things that do. In less than 3 hours my game crashed 14 times. Clearing my bag of debugged items did nothing, disabling debug did nothing. I may just have to wait until the game gets updated or sometimes because losing 45 minutes of my times stings. Again I do like it, but as it stands it's immensely unpolished. Also you may want to double check collision basically everywhere I keep phasing into objects and walls. I'm beginning to think my character was dead all along and my Pokemon just see dead people lol
